Originally, Billy Kametz was set to play Roman Torchwick (a role originally played by Gray G. Haddock), but unfortunately passed away from colon cancer in 2022. Christopher Wehkamp played the role instead and donated his pay to a charity focused on cancer research in honor of Kametz.
Steve Downes was originally considered to voice Nicholas Schnee as showrunner Kerry Shawcross thought it would be a fitting role for him. Downes is most famous for voicing Master Chief in the Halo video game series, which is one of Shawcross' favorite games. However, due to studio politics, the actor was regarded as being unreachable and the role was instead given to John Swasey.
