Welcome to Elmore. This quaint little suburb isn't quite what it seems, as in Elmore, just about everything has the ability to come to life. The Amazing World of Gumball follows the misadventures of Gumball, 12-year-old cat. With help from best friend Darwin, his former pet goldfish that grew legs and joined the family, he gets into all sorts of antics. He is joined by his sister Anais, a four-year-old bunny with heightened intelligence. His parents, Richard and Nicole, provide him support as well.—Juan Carlos Morales

Here is a potential plot for a diverse, inclusive kids show featuring the characters Max and Kylee in the world of The Amazing World of Gumball: Title: The Amazing World of Gumball: New Friends in Elmore Synopsis: Gumball and his friends Darwin and Anais are excited for the first day of school. However, they hear that two new students from different backgrounds will be joining their class - Max and Kylee. Max is nervous about being one of the only students who uses a wheelchair at Elmore Junior High. Kylee is worried about fitting in as one of the few students who wears a hijab. Gumball wants to make the new kids feel welcome. On the bus, he introduces himself and invites Max and Kylee to join him and his friends. But some of the other students stare or make rude comments about their differences. At school, the teacher pairs Max and Kylee together for a class project with Gumball and Darwin. They quickly bond over their love of science. But another student teases Kylee about her hijab. When Gumball stands up for her, an argument ensues. During recess, Max feels left out as the others play basketball. Gumball comes up with a way for Max to join in. They have fun, while also learning about each other's unique lives. In the end, the school has an assembly celebrating their diverse community. Max and Kylee have found a place where they feel accepted for who they are. Gumball's friends have also learned the importance of inclusion and respecting differences. The plot fosters understanding and celebration of diversity through the lenses of young characters. Subsequent episodes could explore various cultures and ability representation in a lighthearted, educational way.
