I was excited when I heard there would be a spinoff of the brilliant series Harley Quinn, and utterly perplexed that it was the annoying minor character Kite Man. I mean, really?
The first episode was cute but unexceptional, as it sets up the basics - Kite Man and his girlfriend, Golden Glider, who has a freaky power she can't control, are stealing for sustenance when they find their favorite bar imperiled and it becomes a whole thing. It was reasonably funny and intriguing so I kept watching.
And I got more and more into it. Like Harley Quinn, Kite Man mixes a genuinely sweet love story with nutty characters and disturbingly graphic violence. And in spite of being only mildy interested at first, I soon reached the tipping point where I just binge-watched the whole thing.
While Kite Man still seems like an odd series star, he is backed by a wonderful ensemble that includes a very funny Bane (who would seem to have been a better option for a spin-off star) and Darkseid with his very silly greek chorus.
The story was good, but like Harley Quinn it's really the likabililty of its off-kilter villains that makes it so engaging. Here's hoping for a season 2.

So I just finished watching the first season of Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024-) earlier this morning and it was a decent enough spin-off show to Harley Quinn (2019-).
Positives for Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024-): For me, it was interesting having the main character being a villain that I have never heard of until now. The dynamic between kite Man and Golden Glider was interesting enough to keep me watching every week. There is a decent amount of dark comedy that I had fun with. And finally, this show could lead to the possibility of a live-action portrayal of this character in the future.
Negatives for Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024-): While I did have some fun with the show, I don't understand why we're following Kite Man. For me, there are a lot of other villains in the DC who are far more interesting to follow as the main character of a spin-off series.
Overall, Kite Man: Hell Yeah! (2024-) is a decent enough attempt to create some interest in a character who I never heard of, but I'm still wondering why did it have to be Kite Man.

I love the Harley Quinn animated show, so I was looking forward to this. While there are some good callbacks and continuity from the Quinn show, Kite Man has enough story to hold its own. When an episode misses the mark, however, it really falls flat and sometimes desperate to get by on the love people have for the established Harley Quinn characters. A lot of the voice work seems kind of phoned in and not nearly as funny or involved as the show it's spun off from, and that can really bring down the enjoyment each episode. Overall, it's an above average way to waste your time, but nothing special.

Quick fire comedy. Nice bit of nostalgia. Obscure characters mixed with vintage bad guys. I found it funny and a decent viewing experience and am looking forward to more episodes. The cartoon style is very much like Star Trek lowers decks and the quick comedy also reminds me of this. I like the fact it includes lex luthor's minions and mentions the likes of batman and Superman.. I actually didn't know this was coming out and its a nice surprise to carry on the DC's storylines (obscure as they are) funny to see bane with actual lines rather than one word cameos. Let's give it a chance and see where this one goes.

Although Kite Man: Hell Yeah was an unexpected spin-off to Harley Quinn, seeing Gotham City in a whole new way in this modern, ultra-violent universe is a lot of fun. Kite Man is a moron and Golden Glider is an unexpected gem. DC really has something with this new version of Batman. It's a show thats existence is completely unnecessary but it's humor is just as random and morbid and hilarious as its mother show. I'm looking forward to seeing how this show plays out. The show has so much potential with how much "lore" there is to pull from, without needing to rely on the Bat-family at all. Gotham City is a mad place and the chance to see it used as a playground in a spinoff series is nothing short of a treat.

How does DC create a show about a character without any real superpowers? Well the first episode is clear indication that this show has everything it takes to take it to another season and thats coming from episode 1. Funny, fast and very engaging, DC's least famous characters come to the foreffront of this show with its raunchy humour and.amateur gimmickry. Kiteman's girlfriend Golden Glider has a more powerful character and is madly in love with this goof ball. The show ends with a bat signal probably signalling him becoming a foe of Batman and I also hope there is an arc with Poison Ivy, with whom he has had a past, who has a small part in the first episode.

Happy to see any spinoff of Harley Quinn, and I find myself enjoying Kiteman even more so far. Yet I feel like people, myself included haha, need to stop comparing it to Harley Quinn. This is its own entity, clearly. The voice actors are sublime; I particularly love the voice of Bane--god, I hope he gets a spinoff! Also crack up every time the Queen of Fables opens her mouth. . . (Ava from "Abbott Elementary!") Another thing I love about the show are the visuals--the colors and images positively pop off the screen. And there is a strange comfort about a bar like Noonans. . . That 'ol "Cheers" memory perhaps. . .

It has few funny moments. The original show is genuinely funny but this is barely entertaining. I watched most of it to make a fair judgement and see if there were any funny moments, but they are few and far between. It's just simply not funny and worse, not entertaining. Unlike Harley Quinn, the chemistry between the characters feels awkward and unfunny. It feels very much directed at people who laugh at fart jokes and humor that teenage boys laugh at There are a few chuckles, most of which are from Bane but everyone is kind of basic. Unless you like things like the newer seasons of Family Guy I would stay away from this show.

Completely unexpected but totally awesome Harley spinoff! The characters are awesome and grow on you fast. Totally love Bane being core group. Stories are fun and the laughs are just as good as Harley. Very awesome to have another show to look forward to while waiting for the next season of Harley. I've seen seven episodes so far and not one of them was disappointing or boring. Kitemans goofy ass is the heart of the show and ties everyone together in a thoughtful and meaningful way every episode. I really hope we get a few seasons out of this! It's super awesome to see the Harleyverse expanded.
I like the show it's classic and simple, meeting new age, but done right. Kiteman, Golden glider, bane and Noonansn are funny and the show has refreshing new situations instead of same old regurgitated tv. Just finished episode 6 and can't wait for more! Its use of villains feels like the characters are more comedic. When I found the show I binge watched it while drinking with my friends, it was a good time! Funny I only found the show because I saw a popular clip on youtube of beast mode bullying people at the bar and giving a girl a wedgie!😂Hope it happens again love the show! Like where the show headed and don't think i'll be disappointed. Also I recognize the voice actors they're pretty funny!
Just an update effortlessly funny towards the end. This could be one of the shows I put on often now.

Kite Man is such an idiot. I don't understand why he got his own show. He wasn't even a sidekick in Harley's show. Bane should have gotten his own show. He's the funniest character in all of this. A second option should have been Poison Ivy's foul-mouth plant.
Kite Man has no powers and only uses a kite. Batman has no powers yet he figured out how to be a badass and keep up with super powered villains. All it would take to end Kite Man would be one bad draft. He's as lame as his power.
Bane is funny! He's goofy and always trying to make friends and he can always power up to break things whenever needed. Kite Man was such a poor choice.

The people who sort of enjoy the show I can appreciate. There's a few moments here and there. The animation is very good.
But the people giving this a 10 are the problem with the entire world. What a sad load of crap this show is. Just like Harley Quinn. Vile. Disgusting. Rude. Stupid. And people are THRILLED with it. So disappointing.
I wish I had faith that James Gunns tenure would come to an immediate and abrupt end. But that puke will keep being poured out onto the screens and APPARENTLY people will slurp it up like it's life sustaining soup.
An ever swirling toilet that just won't flush.

This show is a shallow attempt at making money, by making fun of a world not meant to be made fun of.
It reduces all of its characters down to a unfunny stereotype, and brings nothing to the table in return.
If you want to watch parodies of superheroes, there is endless content for you on YouTube, made by fans, for fans.
And if you want to watch a animated tv show based on Dcs universe, go watch the original Superman, Batman, and Justice league cartoons, they are old, but at least they are adaptations of actual comic books.
I cant recement this corporate sludge, it is as forgettable and cringe as the Harley quin series.

It seems that a lot of adult animation has this problem where the creators realize they can't do anything genuinely funny, unique, or creative, so instead that substitute that with extreme, gratuitous violence and gore. Well this is a prime example of that, if not the most extreme one I've ever seen. There are no funny, clever jokes, there are no interesting plots, everything is predictable, and in place of all that it has gratuitous violence that serves absolutely no purpose. You see this a lot in some cartoon network shows, but really it seems to be pervasive throughout all of adult animation. Graphic violence and gore, excessive unnecessary language, but then they have the gall to act like nudity is too far so that has to be censored. Utterly absurd. It feels like a satire at times, but it isn't. No redeeming qualities, and not worth wasting your time on.
