In 2007 the director advertised an online audition for this movie, all audition tapes went to their website and broadcast online and all the actors and actresses were promised a role in the movie if theirs video was the winner. But the videos were never actually judged, it was just a publicity stunt to attract people to watch their movie when it was released. Director David Rebordão got fired because of this stunt and Tino Navarro became the new director of the film because of that.
During this movie's preparation in 2011, Peter O'Toole was being considered for the role of Steve Battier, but his health was declining and the producers had moved on to other considerations (O'Toole died on December 14, 2013).
