The “Skims” founder Kim Kardashian is working towards becoming one of the greatest movie stars to have ever appeared on screen.
She has appeared in different movies such as, “Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor” (2013), “Paw Patrol: The Movie” (2021), “Deep In The Valley” (2009), and her latest, “American Horror Story: Delicate” (2023 to 2024).
Although she has received mixed reactions regarding her acting skills, the “Skkn By Kim” founder is not letting the negative reactions stop her from pursuing her interest in acting.
During a recent episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashian,” the mom of four admitted to her friends that there are some roles she would have difficulty performing if presented to her, not because she lacked the talent to perform such roles but because of the work she’s had done on her face.

While The Kardashians star, Kim Kardashian, is always busy, she has added a new area of focus to her full plate. Although she was struggling to keep up with the hectic schedule in Season 4, that hasn’t stopped her from diving deeper into the field of acting. However, some people believe her reason for digging her heels in is because she has an ulterior motive behind it.
Kim Kardashian Is Getting Backlash
After appearing in Variety‘s Actors on Actors interview, Kim Kardashian is getting slammed for her overreach in the entertainment industry. Many people say Kim doesn’t deserve to “be in the same room” with other actors with more experience. Kim Kardashian and Chloe Sevigny made the cover story on June 5. Trying to be relatable in the interview, Kim mentioned discovering her mom, Kris Jenner, had never seen Troop Beverly Hills.

Pregnancy and its various complications have always been fertile ground when it comes to horror. From devil children to… well, it’s always devil children, isn’t it? Which is why the most recent season of American Horror Story: Delicate — which deals with the heartbreaking trials and errors of IVF — could have easily been a joyless slog. Haven’t we seen enough movies where a woman has the audacity to want a child, only to give birth to Damien? Thank God, then, for Kim Kardashian.

Fans can’t seem to agree on Kim Kardashian‘s debut in “American Horror Story.” Following Wednesday night’s debut of “Delicate,” the super-celebrity was described as everything from “super annoying” to worthy of an Oscar.
The reactions have been as divisive as they are for Kardashian herself. In “Delicate,” Kardashian plays a vulgar, fabulous and no-nonsense publicist named Siobhan. She’s a version of a trope that’s appeared in several seasons of the horror anthology series: a diva who walks the line between cruel and funny.
Those who enjoyed Kardashian’s performance praised the star for “eating this role” and for being “a slay.” One fan said Kardashian was “perfect for this role” even though they noted that she “kind of played herself.” One fan video even claimed Kardashian “might be the best actor of our generation” and should get an Oscar for her role. Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has gone all out horror mode in the new teaser for ‘American Horror Story’ Season 12, where she acts like a demented cyber-ghost or something.
The teaser then proceeds to show faceless figures moving as one in a circle amid ominous images of a cradle and carriage. Filled with some spooky dance and at the end cradling a baby like a bride of Dracula, Kardashian’s look is similar to what would happen if a bride of Dracula went all modern day steam-punk.
In the teaser, the reality TV star is seen donning a haunting black gown, complete with long white locks and a creepy stare as she holds a baby, with a creepy version of the famous ‘Rock-a-Bye Baby’ song playing in the background.

The original Max series “Full Circle” debuts on July 13. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the new drama investigates a kidnapping gone wrong in New York, revealing the secrets and lies of multiple characters. Or as the trailer warns: “Everything is connected.” The six-episode limited series stars Zazie Beetz, Claire Danes, Jim Gaffigan, Jharrel Jerome, Timothy Olyphant, and Dennis Quaid.
Watch the “Full Circle” trailer:
The four-part documentary “Last Call: When A Serial Killer Stalked Queer New York” is set in the early 1990s as the AIDS crisis worsens. The media’s distorted coverage of the gay victims, coupled with the homophobic biases of the criminal justice system, undermine the investigation. The docuseries — which premieres on Max on July 9 — illustrates how the LGBTQ+ community fought to solve the murders and demand attention for those murdered.

These removals are due to licencing deals coming to an end. Often, the titles make their way back to Netflix in the following year, but sometimes they leave to go to other platforms.
This month sees a selection of Netflix Originals being taken down, also.
To minimise surprise, we have put together a comprehensive list of everything being removed in both Netflix UK and US.

Kim Kardashian is looking to expand her horizons.
The “Kardashians” reality star revealed that she’s interested in exploring the world of acting, and she’s already got her first project in mind.
“Would I act? I would if something fun came about. Maybe a Marvel movie, that would be so fun to do,” Kardashian told Interview Magazine. “I’m not actively looking, but I think things just come when they’re supposed to.”
While not primarily an actress, the Skims founder has some experience under her belt.
She famously starred in an “SNL” skit with Pete Davidson where they shared an onscreen kiss in 2021.

Obsession is the marrow of erotic thrillers, from the sublime (“Fatal Attraction”) to the ridiculous (“Obsessed”), the hey-not-so-bad (“Sleeping with the Enemy”) to the very-bad-indeed (“The Boy Next Door”), to the auteur-crafted (Tyler Perry’s “Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor”) to the Netflix-knockoff (“Fatal Affair”). This sub-genre is so abundant that in “Fatale,” its latest victim (an appropriately jittery Michael Ealy) once played the unhinged baddie in another film about physical intimacy gone very much awry (“The Perfect Guy”).
That said, despite the ample availability of films that are built on the concept of “guilty pleasures” and delight in unspooling wacky-crazy, sex-mad, unhinged freakfests, the telling of their stories can contain all the freshness of data entry. We have someone attractive who’s blessed with an equally attractive spouse, a good job, a lovely home, maybe some cute kids, and then they to decide to bone someone they...

A great bad movie makes you ask, “What did I just see? And when can I see it again?” as opposed to a run-of-the-mill stinker, the kind you wish you’d never watched and will immediately forget that you did. The great bad movies inspire think-pieces, podcasts, watching parties and feverish cult adoration. The regular ones merely wallow in mediocrity. Here’s my alphabetical list of the greatest bad movies the 2010s had to offer:
“Collateral Beauty” (2016)
Will Smith is sad, and his best friends gaslight him by hiring actors to pretend to be Love, Time and Death, but we’re supposed to find their efforts — noble? Charming? None of this makes a lick of sense, but it’s all delivered with hilarious gravitas by the likes of Kate Winslet and Helen Mirren. Make sure to stick around for the shameless third-act twist, and a labored explanation of the title.

Saban Films has acquired North American distribution rights to Derrick Borte’s drama “American Dreamer,” starring comedian Jim Gaffigan in his leading-man debut.
“American Dreamer,” which premiered in September at the Los Angeles Film Festival, follows a down-on-his-luck rideshare driver who makes extra cash chauffeuring a low-level drug dealer around town. He soon finds himself in a serious financial bind and decides to kidnap the dealer’s child. As the night grows darker, tensions build as he escorts the drug dealer in search of the missing kid.
Robbie Jones (“Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor”), Isabel Arraiza (“Elementary”), Alejandro Hernandez (“New Amsterdam”), and Tammy Blanchard co-star in the movie.
Borte (“The Joneses”) directed from a script he co-wrote with Daniel Forte. The film was produced by Scott Lochmus for Storyland Pictures, in association with the Virginia Film Office and Old Dominion University. Jonathan Gray, Mary Vernieu, Xyz Films, and Sugar Studios executive produced.

After a four-year hiatus from melodrama, Tyler Perry has returned with one of his most rousing pictures yet, Acrimony, which lands somewhere between Douglas Sirk and Tommy Wiseau. Perry’s career has swung between the broad comedy of the Madea adventures to more serious dramas like his best pictures, Daddy’s Little Girl and the Family That Preys. Then there are the films that fall squarely in-between his two operating modes: Why Did I Get Married Too? and Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, which offer a morality tale with no time for subtext. While Sirk’s pictures offered a broad, on-the-nose surface morality tale, he specialized in subversive mise-en-scene, subtly pushing the boundaries of good taste. With Perry, what you see is exactly what you get and those expecting restraint and subtext ought to look really anywhere else. About 30 minutes in when leading lady Melinda Gayle (Taraji P. Henson...

Welcome to the “Preview Reel” column, where we look at the week’s upcoming wide-release movies. Last weekend Pacific Rim: Uprising took down the long-time box office king, Black Panther, with an impressive $28 million haul. It won’t likely repeat the feat this weekend as one of the more intriguing releases of the year arrives in the form of Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One. Tyler Perry’s latest, Acrimony, also debuts with Taraji P. Henson in the lead role.
Ready Player One
What we are excited about: There’s two things to be very excited about with this movie—the source material and director Steven Spielberg. Ernest Cline’s novel of the same name is a fun, action-packed adventure filled with nostalgia and geek-filled glee. It pays homage to some of the best films of the 1980s, and who better to direct such a nostalgia-fueled adventure than the king of the blockbuster himself,...

You know you are in trouble when the funniest part of a movie is Madea’s discussion of her retirement account. (She calls it her “Ho-01K” account, because she couldn’t open a 401K due to her illegal income.) Yes, it might finally be time to pull the plug on Madea, the strong-willed former stripper who just so happens to be everybody’s wacky aunt.
In his latest outing, the man behind Madea seems bored with his own creation, yet Tyler Perry only has himself to blame as writer, director, star, producer, and executive. His usual freedom and autonomy to green-light any project has led to interesting work the studio system might have passed on, like Daddy’s Little Girls and the somewhat brilliant Why Did I Get Married Too?. I kid, I kid, but I’m also kind of serious. When someone mentions Tyler Perry, it’s only fair to think of him dressing up in old lady drag, bible thumping, and moralizing about how women shouldn’t open their legs for any good looking dude like they are a 24-hour Golden Corral. (Seriously, did you see Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor? Way to send a message to women that if they are not faithful, they’re going to get AIDS and everyone will hate them. Ugh!)
But here’s the thing: Ty Ty isn’t the owner of these kinds of movie tropes, so it’s about time we stop acting like it and recognize other movies that rely on these storytelling motifs. For example:

A Dirty Shame: Woodruff’s Erotic Fiction Adaptation Flatlines
Demurely arriving before the anticipated film version of E.L. James’ erotic fiction nonsense Fifty Shades of Grey comes the first adaptation of Zane’s 2001 novel, Addicted. Having had well over a decade to build her fan base, it’s surprising that it has taken so long for such a reality to transpire, though marketing for the title has been curiously slim considering Bille Woodruff is at the helm. Distributed by Lionsgate boutique division Codeblack, the film wasn’t screened for critics, which isn’t generally a vote of confidence. While those who know and appreciate Zane’s work, including a fan base that would appear to be mostly made up of heterosexual black women, will be curious to experience Woodruff’s film version, the only point it proves is that silliness knows no racial bounds.

Ahead of the release of The Single Moms Club, a film written, directed, produced by and starring Tyler Perry, we thought it was worthwhile looking back on all the Tyler Perry Productions (Tpp) that came before it. In total, Perry has produced 16 films (including Smc) from the ongoing Madea franchise to stand-alones, such as Temptation and Why Did I Get Married? All of the films have been met with varying degrees of praise and success. But who has actually sat down and watched all of them? Inspired by that question, I decided to review all of Perry’s film in order to grade and rank each film.
