Missed the mark completely. From the very beginning, this movie was a disorganized mess. The plot, if you could even call it that, was utterly incoherent, leaving the audience confused and disinterested. The cinematography was poorly done, with terrible lighting that made it hard to see what was happening in some scenes. On top of that, the acting was painfully wooden, as if the cast had no investment in their roles whatsoever. The script? Absolute drivel. It was filled with pointless dialogue, and any attempt at humor was a sad recycling of Trailer Park Boys one-liners, which felt lazy and uninspired.
In my 50+ years of watching films, I've developed a personal policy of always finishing a movie, no matter how bad it gets. But for the first time, I truly regretted that policy. I found myself constantly checking the time, wondering how much longer I would have to endure this trainwreck. Had the writer/director not been present in the same cinema, I wouldn't have hesitated to leave after just 25 minutes.
Let me be clear-this isn't a case of "not getting the point" or "not understanding the humor." I'm more than willing to embrace different styles of filmmaking and storytelling. But this was simply an unmitigated disaster, with no redeeming qualities to speak of. It wasn't just a bad movie; it was the worst movie I have ever had the misfortune of watching. It's one that will stay with me for all the wrong reasons.
