A Time Called You is a gripping k-drama with time travel, romance, murder mysteries and more.
It made me cry, it made me laugh, it made me gasp. There are so many twist and turns that you need to stay focused in order not to miss out on important plot points.
The actors did a fantastic job, Jeon Yeobeen and Ahn Hyoseop in particular shone. Ahn Hyoseop in the second half of the drama made me feel so many emotions. Kang Hoon as Ingyu, the second male lead, also nailed his role.
This is a drama that gets better with each episode, as well as the acting which also improves with each episode.
The OST is beautiful, the main song being a Korean classic by the late Seo Jiwon (who tragically commited suicide due to the pressure of being successful) and it really adds to the emotions portrayed by the actors. A perfect choice.
The cinematography is stunning as well, as expected by Netflix and korean dramas in general.
The fans of the original drama should go into this with a pair of fresh eyes instead of comparing it to the original. If you expect it to be a direct copy then you will be disappointed. They added their own touch to the plot as well as the characters which I truly appreciate. It would've felt weird had they just straight up copied the OG actors.
Unfortunately some people decided before even watching that they were never going to like it, so please don't let their biased reviews put you off from watching this fantastic drama.
It's a 9/10 for me.
