About the dual meaning of the title: In the context of the story, the Hiragana pronunciation "Inu × Boku Secret Service" means I am your doggedly loyal SS agent. Inu means dog but is written in Kanji as Inu. The written Kanji means I am your fox spirit SS agent."youko" actually means fox spirit. The pronunciation is the public statement that hides the private Kanji statement.
Inu x Boku SS was licensed by Sentai Filmworks for North America, while MVM Films licensed it for the United Kingdom. During April 2013, Hanabee Entertainment released the series on DVD and Blu-ray for Australia and New Zealand.
Based on a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Cocoa Fujiwara. It was serialized in Square Enix's Gangan Joker magazine from April 2009 to February 2014, with its chapters collected in eleven tankobon volumes.
