Season 3, Episode 8 (The Lair of the Libertines) short close up on a man with bare buttocks.

Characters overhear a couple having sex in another room. Loud sexual moaning is heard for several seconds.

Characters accidentally watch the beginning of a pornographic film. The camera shows a man and woman embrace and a closeup of the woman's bare thigh above her stockings, but the camera cuts away before any nudity. It is later stated that a character's husband was arrested in a pornographic movie theater.

A woman asks a man to "make love" to her. She takes off her clothes, and they both embrace in bed. Her bare legs and arms are seen, but nothing more.

Various female characters are seen in low cut clothing; men and women appear in some scenes in their undergarments. Nude paintings or sculpture also appears in various episodes. Male and female characters flirt or are implied to have slept with each other. In at least one episode a two men are revealed to be in a homosexual relationship.

As it is a murder-mystery series, various forms of death take place in the series; blood is present in some instances. Some fairly graphic deaths are implied but not seen onscreen.

Various religious expletives and other profanity are present.

Drinking and smoking are fairly commonplace in the series.
