“Expats” star Sarayu Blue remembers the first time imposter syndrome bowled her over.
She was on set for David E. Kelley’s “Monday Mornings” with the “inimitable” Alfred Molina, who just performed a big speech in a key scene.
“We got done, and we were walking to our rooms and he turned back and he said, ‘Was that all right?'” Blue recalled in a conversation with IndieWire. “And I looked behind me cause I thought, ‘Well, he can’t be asking me, who the hell am I?'”
After assuring Molina that he was “brilliant,” Blue remembered realizing: “In that moment, I thought ‘Oh, we never quite release that impostor syndrome.’ We always will check. ‘Did I get that? Did we get it?’ It was a beautiful moment, and I love him so much.”

The animated Netflix "Castlevania" series has no shortage of talented voice actors, including Richard Armitage, Lance Reddick, and Bill Nighy, but one familiar voice might be harder to put a face on. Actor Emily Swallow is no stranger to genre storytelling, breathing life into characters from major geek properties in animation and live-action, but two of her most recent major roles have kept her face completely out of sight.
In "Castlevania," which expands on the lore from the Konami video game franchise, she voices the beautiful and tragic Lisa Tepes. Lisa is the beloved wife of Vlad Tepes (Graham McTavish), better known as Dracula, and together they have a son, Alucard (James Callis), who serves as one of the main protagonists of the series. Donald Trump gave a 47-minute interview to Fox & Friends on Tuesday, and declared that he’ll be doing the show on a weekly basis.
“We’ve agreed to do it probably mostly on Monday, we’re going to do it mostly on Monday, and if we have to Tuesday,” Trump told the show’s hosts at the start of the segment.
“I haven’t heard that. Well, that’s an exclusive right there,” said host Steve Doocy.
Trump repeated his statement at the end of the interview, but Doocy said, “You may want to do it every week, but Fox is not committed to that. We are going to take it on a case by case basis. And Joe Biden is welcome to join us for 47 minutes like we just did with the president.”

Exclusive: I Feel Bad star Sarayu Blue has been tapped for a lead role opposite Jennifer Morrison in Under the Bridge, CBS’ drama pilot from Rina Mimoun and Jerry Bruckheimer TV. Additionally, Blue is joining the cast of Netflix’s comedy series Medical Police as recurring.
For Blue, the casting in Under the Bridge is in second position to NBC’s I Feel Bad. It is considered a pretty safe second position as the freshman NBC comedy produced by Amy Poehler struggled to get traction with viewers in the fall and did not get a back order.
Under the Bridge, penned by Mimoun and directed by Victoria Mahoney, centers on surgeon Caitlin Lanchaster (Morrison). When a scandal rocks the medical practice she runs with her husband and their friends, Caitlin rises to the occasion and takes the lead in trying to mend both the practice and her marriage.

Liz Lemon. Leslie Knope. Mindy Lahiri. The past several years have been full of iconic comedy leading ladies, and they're about to have a new member of the club. On the new NBC comedy I Feel Bad, Emet Kamala-Sweetzer tries to juggle her family and her career and finds herself frustrated over not being able to achieve her idea of perfection and "having it all." There's a good chance you recognize the actress playing Emet, but an equally good chance that you can't quite remember what you recognize her from. Never fear - we've got the rundown of where you've seen actress Sarayu Blue before.
Known earlier in her career as Sarayu Rao, Blue has been acting since 2002's Leela, although she didn't snag a noticeable role until 2007. In that year, she joined the film Lions For Lambs, which starred Tom Cruise, Robert Redford, and Meryl Streep. Despite the film's starry cast,...

Rita Ora was on hosting duties at Sunday night's MTV Europe Music Awards in London, and she definitely made sure to make a memorable entrance. Trailers for the ceremony promised multiple outfit changes from the fashion-mad singer, and she made a tongue-in-cheek nod to this when she hit the red carpet in a bathrobe and towel, looking a bit like she was still in the process of getting ready (were it not for the full face of makeup, heels, and diamond jewelry). She even took her look on stage, swapping the long robe for a short one as she greeted the crowds at the Sse Arena. Rita shared a snap of the look on Instagram, captioning it "From the sofa, to the car, to the @mtvema red carpet." If only we could all rock up to work like this, it would make Monday mornings so much more manageable!

The first year that “Girls” debuted on HBO TheWrap newsroom was often in turmoil on Monday mornings, when female staffers would face off against male staffers and explain why they despised the show. Or, alternately, why they refused to watch it. Really. We had all-out cultural battle lines between the women who hated how the show cut way too close to the jib of their real lives – “I’m not going home to watch myself on TV, sorry,” one annoyed sales coordinator told me memorably – and others who felt seen and recognized and thus championed by Hannah and her friends.

Feud: Bette and Joan premiered on FX last night. It was everything I'd imagined it would be.
If you have watched, check out my review of Feud: Bette and Joan Season 1 Episode 1 and if you haven't watch Feud: Bette and Joan online to become entranced.
But be prepared! They're not treating the feud between Bette and Joan or any other with kid gloves.
Pay attention to scenes featuring Stanley Tucci as Jack Warner.
Not only is he fabulous as usual, but as Warner, he has his own feud going on with Bette Davis.
That feud brings out the ultra nasty side of Mr. Warner, and with it some language that will shock you.
You just don't hear it on TV. And if you say it at work, well, you'll probably be fired.
Is there any evidence Warner ever used it in connection to Davis? No.
But if we were going to make a bet?...

It's President's Day, so what better way to celebrate than to assure McGraw Ryan Murphy intends to make the most of the past election in the upcoming installment of American Horror Story?
Fans have already started making cool artwork in support of it.
I was pleased to hear McGraw watched and enjoyed Big Little Lies Season 1 Episode 1, which I gave a stellar review.
You guys haven't checked in with me if you've watched, which is a bit disappointing.
We can only make recommendations and hope you take them!
Another new show that premiered last night on HBO was Crashing, and both McGraw and I agreed it was well done and funny.
From Pete Holmes (and starring the same), it's a look at the burgeoning career of a stand-up comedian.
Since it's from HBO and affiliated with Judd Apatow, with it comes degrading circumstances both comical and cringe-worthy.

My man McGraw Milhaven from 550 Ktrs Radio in St. Louis, Mo saw political messages everywhere he looked while watching the Super Bowl.
Whether it was the immigration themed commercials or Lady Gaga's choice of material, he felt slapped in the face.
But was it really as political as all that?
Lady Gaga kept her word and delivered an entertaining half-time show that all Americans could enjoy.
Her message was delivered, but it was one that included all facets of America and added no further personal pronouncements.
That took courage, and of course, it was Lady Gaga who could do it so well.
The commercials for the Super Bowl weren't all that exciting, seeming to have lost their creativity from years' past.
When the best commercial on the air was the sneak peek of Stranger Things 2, and featured a 30-year-old commercial for Eggo waffles, well that right there should tell...

A review of tonight's Westworld coming up just as soon as I ride a train of explosives through scalping territory... "The hosts are the ones who are free. Free, here, under my control." -Ford A trompe l'oeil is an artistic illusion that makes a two-dimensional drawing appear to exist in three dimensions. The title would fit almost any episode of Westworld, where the human characters go back and forth on whether the hosts are in any way real, but particularly this one, where it's revealed that Bernard is a host who has been programmed to believe he's human, while occasionally doing nefarious things — like murdering Theresa — on Dr. Ford's behalf. Any show with this subject matter is going to inspire speculation about whether some — or even all — of the "humans" are in fact also robots, and Bernard always seemed the most likely suspect. The show dropped various clues — last week,...

In his day, Billy McBride was the best damn lawyer his colleagues had ever seen, a courtroom virtuoso and founding partner of one of the biggest law firms in the world. Now, though, he's an alcoholic who lives in a motel, works out of the bar next door, and is either a joke to those who only know him like this or a sad cautionary tale to those who remember his glory days. David E. Kelley, the writer who co-created Goliath, the new Amazon drama in which Billy (played by Billy Bob Thornton) is the central character, was once every bit the colossus of the TV legal drama. As creator and/or executive producer of shows like L.A. Law, Picket Fences, The Practice, Ally McBeal, and Boston Legal, Kelley won 10 Emmys himself — including the unprecedented, unlikely to be duplicated feat of winning the comedy and drama series Emmys in the...

Disney fans were in for a massive smile-inducing and tear-jerking event at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on Friday when a 71-piece orchestra and talented vocal line-up performed the music of The Little Mermaid live to picture at a concert screening. Among the cast taking on the roles in the beloved 1989 animated film were Sara Bareilles as Ariel, Rebel Wilson as Ursula, Tituss Burgess as Sebastian, Darren Criss as Prince Eric, and John Stamos as Chef Louis. In a post-Merida, post-Elsa world, Ariel’s tale of longing to leave her father’s home and adventure into another world still resonates with audiences. The ever-catchiness of the music does too. That was evident as the power of nostalgia and the promise of a solid cast packed the Hollywood Bowl at Friday night’s show. The 17,000-seat venue had sold out within three hours, and two more shows were added (for Saturday and Monday) to meet demand.

65 years ago today, readers were transported to Narnia with the Pevensie children for the first time as C.S. Lewis’ “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” hit the shelves of bookstores in England. The classic children’s fantasy novel was published on October 16, 1950. It was the first of Lewis’ seven Narnia books to be released and to be written, though it became volume 2 in recent editions of the series, sequenced chronologically according to Narnia history, putting “The Magician’s Nephew” first. Lewis wrote “Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe” over the course of 10 years, at the same time his dear friend J.R.R. Tolkien was working on “The Lord of the Rings.” The two Brits frequently met on Monday mornings to talk about writing. Ultimately, though, Tolkien was critical of the Narnia books. There’s much speculation as to why the “Hobbit” scribe had a negative reaction to his friend’s fantasy series.

Dear Monday mornings: You go straight to hell. No stops. No detours. Straight to hell! And we will see you there, you punctual a--hole. Love, Everyone The first morning of the work week after two days of sleeping in, doing what you want and probably not wearing pants is a giant sack of terrible. If Monday were a human being in our office, we would be sending it passive aggressive emails and stealing its lunch. Yeah, we're cold stone bitches when it comes to Monday. Sometimes it's hard to describe the despair, the pain, the utter exhaustion that greets you when your alarm goes off on Monday (more like mon-die, right?!). We have just the thing for you. And since your friends are...

Allowances must be made for and by fans of the medical procedural. While our current Golden Age of TV has been a boon for lovers of superheroes, zombies and glowering male antiheroes, doc drama devotees have often had to make do with shows like Three Rivers, Black Box, Monday Mornings, 3 Lbs, The Night Shift and Emily Owen, MD. And if you can identify more than three of those shows, your brother-in-law probably works as a tech advisor or else you've been truly desperate for any manna in the wilderness. So when something like CBS' Code Black makes

Note: This is going to be the most inside-y of inside baseball columns, but so many people over the years have asked me what it's like to write about "Mad Men" — particularly in these later, screener-less seasons — that I wanted to put together some personal memories of the experience. If you understandably just want to read about the show itself, I've written a ton, including reviews of every single episode (the first three seasons on my old blog, everything else here at HitFix), picks for the best episodes, an essay on the distinct moment in TV history in which "Mad Men" debuted, recent interviews with Matthew Weiner and Jon Hamm, and even an entire chapter of my book (which will have an updated version in the fall to discuss the end of this show and "Breaking Bad"). This Sunday night should be the last time for a very long time...

Hiii, “Game of Thrones.” Welcome back! Last year I wrote super detailed recaps for every episode in season four. With a show as dramatic and complicated as this one, you can only imagine how arduous Sunday nights/Monday mornings were. So this year, I’ve decided that instead of detailing Every. Little. Thing. that happens in each episode, I’m going to lose a little of the formality and just highlight the highlights, freak out about the inevitable heartbreak and facepalmy moments, and enjoy the hot (but still good) mess that this not so little series has become. As has become the tradition, [...]

Timo is a ragdoll cat who got a hammock from his owners as a little surprise because he's getting older and he needed a warm, comfy spot to relax after his long day of naps and eating. Timo is really enthusiastic about his new hammock, except he has no idea how to successfully get into the damn thing. We watched about 20 seconds of the adorable, fluffy shenanigans and then realized that Timo and his struggles are a perfect metaphor for every human being who wakes up on Monday mornings. The weekend is over and we have to go back to work/school/some other place we don't want to go to. Basically, we are Timo and the hammock is Monday. We want to successfully and happily maneuver our Mondays, but alas…we...

The dreaded daylight savings is fast approaching. Aren't Monday mornings tough enough? Still, there's no need to lose sleep with this spring's time jump. To help recover those precious 60 minutes sacrificed to the sun cycle, we tapped our E! Style Collective members to provide tips on how to cut primping time with these beauty hacks. The shortcut: Carry a comb. While in the shower, comb conditioned hair with a wide-tooth comb to keep from having to hack away at tangles after you exit the stall. Time saved: Three minutes The shortcut: Keep it wrapped. Cut your blow-dry time by wrapping your hair in a microfiber towel once out of the shower. Keep it wrapped for about 15 minutes...

Saturday Night Live will celebrate its 40th anniversary this evening with a three-and-a-half hourlong trip down memory lane. To mark the occasion, we asked Larry Wilmore, Amy Schumer, Joni Mitchell, and others for the SNL sketches that have stuck with them most through the years. The runaway favorite? Eddie Murphy’s impersonation of James Brown in a hot tub.Larry Wilmore It’s probably two things. I remember when it first came on, so I remember on Monday mornings, talking about SNL. And I remember the first time they said “bitch” on television! I thought, “Oh my God! What did they say?!” It was the Emily Litella bit. Gilda Radner to Jane Curtin. 1977. And seeing Eddie Murphy for the first time, that was just magic. I couldn’t believe how funny he was. James Brown’s hot tub, still one of the funniest sketches ever. Arguably, the funniest sketch that SNL has ever done.

Since 1975, Saturday Night Live has provided us with some of the best and most iconic catchphrases that have become a part our pop culture lexicon. The show has given us one-liners that went from being repeated at the watercooler on Monday mornings to something that’s become part of our daily dialogue.
Who doesn’t say they need “more cowbell” when they hear “Don’t Fear the Reaper”? Or associate Sarah Palin with being able to “see Russia from my house”? Banshee, Season 3: Episode 1 – “The Fire Trials”
Written by Jonathan Tropper
Directed by Loni Peristere
Airs Friday nights at 10 on Cinemax
Amid a full and explosive season three premiere that heavily features Chayton’s (Geno Segers) return to and influence on his Kinaho tribe, it’s a quiet exchange between father and daughter that sticks out to me:
“You came here for her.”
“I stayed for you.”
At this point, the man we know as Lucas Hood looks and acts the part. He is the sheriff of Banshee. He didn’t get the girl. He didn’t get the big score. But what he’s found in the post-Rabbit era of this story is that he belongs here more than he does anywhere else. Why not just leave and test that theory? Deva. Staying for her isn’t just a stab at fatherhood (no pun intended, but it’s too...

As Doctor Who series 8 draws towards its end, Andrew ticks off everything we've learned about Michelle Gomez's character, Missy, so far.
Warning: contains spoilers for Doctor Who series 8 up to and including Flatline.
The article will begin after a picture of Daphne The Spoiler Squirrel. Only if you're ready for spoiler chat should you scroll past Daphne. She won't be offended either way.
"Clara. My Clara, I chose well."
Empiricism and Steven Moffat series arcs. We meet again.
The line above, said at the end of tonight’s Doctor WHo episode, Flatline, strongly implies that Missy chose Clara for something, which ties in with the on-going plot strand about the ‘Woman in the shop’ who gave Clara the Doctor’s number. It doesn’t, of course, confirm that it was Missy in the shop, that she was involved, or indeed even that it was Clara who was chosen.

The Great British Bake Off is at its core a simple show, hosted by two presenters who most people hadn't seen on TV since the '90s, and judged by a burly bloke from the Wirral who spends most of his time talking about bread.
It really shouldn't work. At best, it should be a twee novelty, watched by your nan and anyone who spends their Sundays making jams.
But Bake Off hasn't just become a success over the last five years. It's become a phenomenon.
Shops sell out of doughnuts when they make doughnuts. Shops sell out of jazzy blazers when Mary Berry wears a jazzy blazer. Paul Hollywood can sell out arena-sized venues with adoring fans who want to watch him kneading. And Wednesday nights have become Bake Off nights.
Autumn TV used to be dominated by The X Factor. Monday mornings would be spent discussing the latest 'scandal' or Louis Walsh 'controversy'.

NBC's Emmy Award-winning late-night comedy showcase is prepping to return to the airwaves for another year of laughs, surprises and great performances. Since its inception in 1975, Saturday Night Live has launched the careers of many of the brightest comedy performers of their generation. As The New York Times noted on the occasion of the show's Emmy-winning 25th Anniversary special in 1999, "in defiance of both time and show business convention, SNL is still the most pervasive influence on the art of comedy in contemporary culture." At the close of the century, it placed seventh on Entertainment Weekly's list of the Top 100 Entertainers of the past fifty years. SNL sketches still bear repeating on Monday mornings. With live show surprises, especially those timed to the election - from...

Tyrant Review
The problem with Tyrant, FX’s new drama about an Americanized doctor who is the son of a Middle Eastern dictator, is that the sum is far less than the seemingly random parts which never gel into an engaging version of what should be a great show.
Barry Al Fayeed (Adam Rayner) finally decides to return to the homeland he left when he was 16, because his nephew is getting married. It’s a life he hoped to cut all ties to, and we see why through flashbacks to some of his earliest days. His older brother Jamal (Ashraf Barhom) was clearly chosen to take over, and Barry was largely ignored. Such is the way of second sons. Jamal has grown into just the sort of psychopath every dictator hopes for, but he isn’t quite as bright as his younger brother.
Despite the atrocities his father visited upon him in his youth,...

Genre filmmaker Robert Rodriguez's El Rey Network announced today that Alfred Molina (The Da Vinci Code, Spider Man 2) has been cast as Andres Galan in the network's upcoming scripted original set to premiere July 2014. Previously announced cast members include Gabriel Luna, Nicky Whelan and Neil Hopkins.
Created by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, and produced in association with K/O Paper Products, the coveted writing/producing team behind Sleepy Hollow, Fringe , Star Trek and the Transformer franchise, Matador will feature Molina as Andrew Galan, a man who built his fortune in the telecom industry, but his true passion is soccer. As owner of the ascendant La Riot franchise, he is celebrated in both the sports and business worlds. But there is another world that he operates in -- as a member of an elite group of powerful global players, ruthless individuals who can effect world events on a scale that one would never imagine. What Galan doesn't know is that there is a mole in his midst. One of his new players, Tony Bravo, is actually an undercover operative, sent in to expose him and his cohorts. As Tony and Galan grow closer, the fate of their relationship may very well determine the fate of the world.
Irreverent and action-packed, Matador chronicles the unlikely rise of Antonio "Matador" Bravo, a popular soccer star, who comes to be known as much for his playboy antics off the field as his dynamic moves on it. But what his fans and family don't realize is that it's all a cover--in truth, he is a skilled covert operative executing missions for a little known branch of the CIA. “Matador” has the kind of fame and notoriety that affords him access to powerful circles of corruption and villainy. But, in balancing the dueling roles in which he's been cast, he will be forced to confront the question of his true identity...and it is this mission which will prove to be his most dangerous.
Robert Rodriguez, El Rey Network's chairman and founder, is set to direct the first episode which will be penned by showrunners, co-creators and executive producers Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin
An accomplished London-born actor whose diverse and distinguished gallery of performances have led to a lengthy and triumphant career in film, television and the stage, Alfred Molina is best known for his roles in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 and Steven Soderberg’s Frida. Molina made his American film debut in Raiders of the Lost Ark and later appeared in Letter to Brezhnev, but his movie breakthrough came two years later when he portrayed Kenneth Halliwell, the tragic lover of playwright Joe Orton, in Stephen Frears' Prick Up Your Ears. His other feature film credits include The Da Vinci Code, Boogie Nights, Magnolia , Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time , The Pink Panther 2, Enchanted April, Not Without My Daughter , The Perez Family, Anna Karenina and Chocolat , among others. On television, he most recently starred on NBC’s Law & Order: Los Angeles and David E. Kelley’s TNT drama series Monday Mornings. Molina’s stage work includes two major Royal National Theatre productions, Tennessee Williams' The Night of the Iguana and David Mamet's Speed the Plow, as well as his Broadway debut in Yasmina Reza's Art, for which he received a Tony Award® nomination. Molina also performed in the highly celebrated UK-based Donmar Warehouse production of Red which opened on Broadway in April 2010 and for which Mr. Molina received rave reviews and a Tony Award® nomination. Most recently, Molina completed the feature film Love Is Strange opposite John Lithgow for director Ira Sachs. The film premiered at Sundance this year, and will be released later in the year by Sony Classics. He also shot the feature films, Swelter for director/writer Keith Parmer, We'll Never Have Paris for director/writer Simon Helberg with co-stars Zachary Quinto and Maggie Grace, Return to Zero with co-star Minnie Driver and The Normal Heart for HBO in which he co-stars opposite Mark Ruffalo and Julia Roberts.
Matador executive producers are Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin, also showrunners, alongside executive producers Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Andrew Orci. Also joining as executive producers are Heather Kadin of K/O Paper Products; Robert Rodriguez and FactoryMade Ventures and El Rey Network co-founders John Fogelman and Cristina Patwa.
Entertainment One Television (eOne) exclusively represents worldwide distribution rights (with the exception of U.S. broadcast network rights) for El Rey Network's "Matador" and other original scripted series created for the U.S based cable network, to be announced.

When it comes to morning routines, nobody has a better one than Pee-wee Herman, who showed us that waking up doesn't have to be the painful experience we all tend to make it. Perhaps the most fun part of Pee-wee's daily routine is when he wraps tape around his face, all for the purpose of making himself laugh, while looking at himself in the mirror. Suddenly, Monday mornings aren't so depressing!
Taking a cue from Pee-wee, Albuquerque-based photographer Wes Naman uses Scotch tape to turn his subjects into monsters that are as hideous as they are humorous, as part of a fun photography project that we spotted over on Sploid. Naman says he's always been interested in manipulating and changing the human face in Photoshop, and when he realized he could use tape to do the same thing to actual human subjects, cheaply and quickly, the 'Scotch Tape Series' was born.

TNT will not be going forward with a second installment of Frank Darabont’s period drama Mob City after a low-rated, six-episode run this fall as a limited series. “Mob City was created as a three-week television event and we are incredibly proud of the six hours we presented of this remarkable drama,” a TNT spokesperson said. “Although the ratings of the limited series haven’t warranted more hours we are eager to work with Frank Darabont again and were delighted to bring the vibrant world of Mob City to life.” Despite a big promotional push, Darabont’s Mob City didn’t get much traction from the get-go.
