Rihanna collaborated with A$AP Rocky for a “short film” titled Born to Steal: Yours, Mine, Ours, promoting a new Fenty Skin product. The video premiered on Fenty Skin and Fenty Beauty’s YouTube channels on Wednesday morning.
In the noir-inspired ad, the multi-hyphenate stars as the femme fatale, who the narrator says likes to “hoard” clothes from the “unsuspecting male” — in this case, the rapper. He catches her in the act of smuggling his blazer but stands back. When Rihanna steps out of the house in the “stolen” wardrobe, Rocky gazes out the window while massaging his lips with the Fenty Lux Balm.
She can’t stop stealing from him: pancakes, blazers, even the bed covers! But nothing’s standing in the way of his lip balm: “Not so fast, baby. This one’s mine,” he says.
This isn’t Rocky’s first appearance in his partner’s Fenty campaign.

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of film critics two questions and publishes the results on Monday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best film in theaters right now?”, can be found at the end of this post.)
This week’s question: What is the most overlooked and/or underrated movie of 2017?
E. Oliver Whitney, Screencrush.com, @cinemabite
Despite the critical praise, “A Fantastic Woman” only a one-week qualifying run last month, and I worry is it’ll easily be forgotten this awards season. Daniela Vega gives one of the most astounding performances I’ve seen this year, one that comes from somewhere fierce and internal, portraying the life and struggle of a trans woman that cinema has rarely shown an interest in exploring. But since you can’t see it until it has a proper release in Febraury, do check one of the year’s other...

Does Gina Linetti’s new man have cruel intentions?
Ryan Phillippe is set to guest-star on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Milton, a potential love interest for Captain Holt’s recently injured assistant, TVLine has learned. Per Fox, Charles is completely opposed to the match — but if Gina can survive getting hit by a bus, surely she can put up with her step-brother’s disapproval. Phillippe will appear in the first half of the comedy’s two-part, one-hour season finale.

The following contains spoilers from Tuesday’s midseason premiere of Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Proceed at your own peril.
Spoiler alert: Gina Linetti is dead.
Well, she was dead. It was for two minutes, during which time she saw an ethnically ambiguous female God, then was resuscitated, having somehow survived that bus accident just two months ago.
But the heck with trying to make sense of any of that. “Gina Linetti’s back, baby,” and the Nine-Nine has nothing to worry about now… right?
Wrong!

Damien (Nick Nevern) is a London policeman, having joined the force from a difficult upbringing. In his spare time he is a borderline football hooligan and while on duty he frequently disregards proper rules to either get a friend’s charges lifted or put the boot in on a suspect who he doesn’t like. As tensions in London build towards the riots of summer 2011, Damien tries to keep his building rage under control while trying to establish a relationship with Louise (Kellie Shirley) a new police officer he has been partnered with.

Director Simon Phillips has previously worked as an actor and producer but seems determined to continue to stretch himself, taking his bow behind the lens for this workmanlike and unexceptional, but otherwise commendable film about a man with one foot in each of two very different worlds.
