Season 2 was an overall pretty solid season. The plot for all eight episodes flowed perfectly without any slowdowns. The trio of Jake, Devin, and Lexy once again shine as our protagonists going not just up against Chucky and his cult again but also the confines of a Catholic School. This makes for a tight locked setting as it's religious themes play with the vulnerabilities of our heroes, this being Jake and Devin's relationship and Lexy's drug addiction. Nadine was also a sweet new addition. The entire cast do excellent jobs with Brad Dourif not just doing what he does best as Chucky again but also adding some variety to his voice for some interesting takes such as a brainwashed good Chucky. I also never knew how much I wanted to see a Chucky do an impression of Marlon Brando from Apocalypse Now. Newcomer Lachlan Watson also does a really good job playing the Dual role of Chucky's child Glen/Glenda & I was so happy to finally get some long time questions I've had from Seed of Chucky answered in this season.
The only episode that really falters is its season finale. By the end a lot of things carried over from season 1 doesn't feel that earned or that satisfying. Also while I can handle Chucky being really silly at times giving him a credit card batman & robin style was a bit much.
Season 2 may not have been as strong as season 1 but was still insane macabre fun nevertheless. It has enough new ideas to make it stand out from everything we've seen before. Looking forward to season 3.

The plot of the last episode was very interesting and way different than the previous episodes of season 2. The storyline was very well written and everything was explained really well. The characters were very interesting and well-developed. Also, the filming location of the episode was really good and It was kinda better than the Catholic school. Moreover, the killcount was AMAZING, most kills were super brutal and bloody! Overall, season 2 wasn't as nice as season 1.. In my opinion, episode 8 was the best episode of season 2, it was super intense and full of unexpected plot twists. I really hope they're gonna make a season 3, because it's a really nice TV show and Chucky is ICONIC.

This season has been absurd and gory and I have loved every episode. Absolutely incredible episode, loved every minute of it. Has a lot of fun with the Christmas theme, and progresses the story in some very satisfying ways with Glen/Glenda, Nica, and the mayor lady. Will be rewatching closer to Christmas. I don't care if the story is good, as long as the show continues to be this fun I want many more seasons. Probably best episode of the season, and honestly wasn't really liking Andy and Kyle this season so don't mind that they aren't in this episode (though I loved them in season 1). Delivers as a great Chucky episode and a great Christmas special.

There are too many characters alive, I know that being a serie you need to keep the protagonist BUT... what about the others? Why are they still alive? I honestly don't like the protagonist, Jake, but I like Lexi and Devon less so... well, It's ok I think that as fans we are going to watch whatever just to see our favorite devilish doll, BUT THERE ARE TOO MANY CHARACTERS THAT ARE STILL ALIVE, I understand that maybe director or whatever want to continue working with the actors and all that but they are affecting how the story looks, it looks ridiculous, they should all be dead by now, it's boring to keep watching them, they should be dead, I'm not even against killing jake and changing the protagonist, in fact we should have a new protagonist every season, a fresh new story and maybe one of them devon or lexi or jake appearing time to time, or die, It's BORING TO SEE THEM, please you should KNOW that it looks like unnecessary filler or something, right? The people who work on this should be able to recognize that it's a mistake to keep so many protagonists alive, you pushed Glen away when they are1000 times more interesting than Lexi, Devon or Jake so it can't be that difficult, I have no idea why don't push them away in the same way, I want to see chucky do different things with other new characters, the series is called chuky PLEASE. Even Lexi's little sister is more interesting.
Junior was more interesting and he's dead but I'm supposed to believe that Lexi Jake and Devon survived without the power of the script? Well no, lexi should have died next to junior or something like that it would have looked great
Anyway, the 8 stars are because the last minute of the episode is what saved this season and because I love Chucky and I will always love him.

I love Mancini and fully support everything he has done with Chucky. I respect how he and everyone involved have always tried to do something new and keep things fresh. With that being said I was left disappointed by the end of season 2.
There are constraints and compromises you have to deal with/make when you are working in the movie and television industry. This is especially so with cable television. Even with this acknowledgment I feel that Chucky season 2 just didn't reach the bar I had for it. Throughout the season I felt a lack of consistent storytelling, consistent characters, and consistent stakes. It just felt like something was missing.
I am all for a Chucky that delivers some sweet sweet camp, but it was too jarring compared to the themes and messages this season was trying to get across. Jumping quickly between tone and plot points made the experience feel rushed and, again, inconsistent. Each episode felt like the characters had hit their reset button and forgot most of the developments they had made. I never knew what was coming next but not exactly in a good way. It felt like the writers were coming up with most of the conflicts as they happened and figured out how it would impact the rest of the story later.
There were still plenty of moments and episodes that I thoroughly enjoyed in this season. Many will probably claim that the real meaning and nuance of this season went over my head, but I feel like season 2 missed the mark and could have been so much better if they had more time and freedom to explore the concepts they introduced.
I hope Mancini and his crew still continue with his vision and I look forward to the next season. I have faith in him as an artist to always do something creative even if I don't always like it. Continue to be your amazing selves and I will hopefully see more of your work next year!

While the season 2 started off pretty well and was interesting for a while the last episode was kind of mediocre I expected an EPIC finale but again all happened so quickly they tried to do a plot twist at the end off episode 8 but that came from nowhere (they had to built it somehow to fit in) .
SO about Glen and Glenda while they appeared again and could worship differently they just let something interesting end up so quickly in general, whatever interest was built in this season every character that they introduce and was really interesting they just killed them in the most lame way ,every battle that they could make so intense just end up so simple.
I would love to see a season 3 but I would like an different story or something more creepy I don't know I believe that chucky needs a fresh start to work again.

Season 2 was lots more underwhelming than season 1 especially this finale. It skipped ahead and created random storylines from the previous episode. Suddenly everyone is ok and not worried and having a Very Potter Christmas? Then they use Glee transition scores? Is this a finale, or campy mock? Why did it turn into glee. No idea. Nothing makes sense. Stories were skipped. Energy was changed. Was this the finale or mid season break? No matter what. V confused. It seemed like it tried to be very on par with millennial ideals and it took it to the extreme of the reasons why people hate millennial shows. This was not the direction it should've taken.
