Given I'm like, the third reviewer to leave a legitimate review of the movie, I feel like to no ones surprise, the ones before me were valid enough.
What made the first SpongeBob movie so good? Was it that it was made with heart for original viewers, whether young or old? Was it that it made a story that not only taught an amazing lesson, but gave a memory for people to hold onto? Or is it because it's WAS SUPPOSE TO BE THE END?!
Amazing animation, terrible story, awesome character designs, abysmal acting for the live action people, The DOG was the best actor for gods sake!
It feels like the movie is trying to do everything it can to make its audience laugh, I swear SpongeBob is less a character and more just there.
The development with Sandy and her family was nice, to bad it'll be forgotten by the next movie though!
It's not even a movie for kids, it's a baby movie, even Rugrats, The Movie, a movie about babies, IS MORE MATURE THAN THIS!
At least with Sponge on the run it had good pacing with the plot, great moments with the character, this just feels like a broken plot of an episode, and I have a feeling an actual script was written here, but between every line was written "SpongeBob does the funny" "Sandy is smart" "Patrick is dumb" etc. Etc.
I can't wait to see YouTube's thoughts on this one!
2/10, Nick, you're not even making a profit at this rate, Netflix, BRING BACK INSIDE JOB!
