BOBS is defintely Funke Akindele's best work! So many factors worked together to make this film exceptional, we'll just name a few:
-The story was told in the most captivating way that it never got boring. The directors knew when to heighten the emotions and when to bring them down; when it was time to engage in battle and when it was time to reflect
-We show our deepest respect to Funke Akindele and Mercy Johnson who shot the majority of the scenes without makeup. Many actresses like to look bougie even when they're playing humble characters, but not these 2 women.
They completely lost themselves in their roles that we forgot they were big celebrities in real life.
-The best cast was selected: Sola Sobowale, Tina Mba, Nkem Owoh, Femi Jacobs, Kelvin Ikeduba, Moshood Fattah, Judith Ushi, Uche Obunse, Gbemi Akinlade, Miracle Gabriel, Mike Afolarin, Sani Musa Danja, Bimbo Ademoye, Ikponmwosa Gold, etc
-The color grading was adequately bright for the comic genre, the set design appropriately reflect the time setting, the special effects with the explosion, hmmm... We believed every inch of this story! Should we talk about the costume design???
-Above all the entertain was CLEAN, just one s* word that was hardly noticeable; there was no unnecessary distraction with intimate scenes.
And the message was well-received on forgiveness, togetherness, and selflessness.
