Such a unique and interesting anime. Much content too. Great character development. Recommend to anyone who likes ancient war movies and anime in general.

First few episodes feels shaky due to animation but you get used to it. Impressive story, great characters design, excellent plot and most important thing is you won't feel tired or clumsy or lazy during watching this anime.

Kingdom anime is just one of the media with which the story is presented. The manga is ongoing, 762 chapters and counting. The live action film is on its third installment but available only in Japanese theaters. It's a franchise that will not likely reach Kimetsu No Yaiba or Attack on Titan levels internationally with the stark absence of English translations, but for a huge fan like me, it is worth crossing the language barrier for.
Chinese war drama in the hands of mangaka Yasuhisa Hara. This is what it is. Many of Hara's characters jump straight out of history, and they transform into larger-than-life generals, kings, vassals, and scholars, warriors, courtiers, in often flamboyant costumes and hairpieces. The two main leads, orphan warrior Shin and 31st King of Qin Ei Sei, carry the heart of the series (these two are the least flamboyantly dressed tough), and through their stories, together or apart, they share the goal of unifying the warring states and ending war for good.
There is some criticism about the inconsistency and cartoonish aspects of the anime, but that can be overlooked as the story unfolds. Overall, Kingdom is epic storytelling, and I can see many more chapters, seasons, and movie sequels on the horizon.

I would give it a 10star if it wasn't for the animation. It took me a few episodes to get used to it but now I hardly notice. The story, on the other hand, is amazing. It really surprises me the show isn't more popular. I recommend to anyone looking for a new show.

It is really underrated, I know, the first season is awful because of the 3D/CGI animation, but the storytelling, characters, plot, wordbuilding and every else is simpli magnificent, watch the show, it worth the time. By the way, this show talk about the real history in China, the battles, the characters and the places existed 2000 years ago.

I can't believe i stumbled upon this gem!! I wanted another high calibre anime after finishing one piece, and this delivered. Can't stop watching, it has an interesting plot and characters, great visuals, and fight scenes keep getting better. Highly recommend!!

At 38 episodes, this one takes a while to get going...and there is season 2 planned (don't know how many episodes this time), but if you can handle this many, then you must be into it and more will just be welcome...
The story starts with 2 young orphans, Xin and Piao (pronounced 'Hou'), who live in China in the state of Qin during the warring states period and who fight each other every day with practice swords and dream of becoming great generals...one day a nobleman sees something in one of these orphans and decides to offer him a brighter future...the 2 orphans go their separate ways and adventures await them...
I could go into a lot more depth here, as this is a long and detailed story, but I'll leave it at that...the animation is good, the characters are well developed and the action is balanced with an interesting story. As for how accurate it is, I'm not super knowledgeable about feudal Chinese history, so I can't say either way, but it makes for fun to watch! Just be prepared to sacrifice a lot of time on this one...

This anime will make you energetic, the actions are always so amazing and the story is pretty rich. The war scene really genuinely make you feel like this is how a Japanese war is like.

The best continuous anime that you can see in your life, the first season you have to get used to CGI, and the second season will improve the drawing and become better, especially with the fourth season, the drawing in it is similar to the drawing of Wit Studio, frankly, the anime is oppressed and needs more attention than that, and readers of the manga say that the fifth season will be the strongest season and frankly I I am excited about him, especially with the new and bloody drawing that is coming from the studio itself. Awesome work and great music. I hope the work continues and doesn't stop.
This is one of the greatest anime in the world season 1 and 2 had a little animation problems but still managed to blow my mind and season 3 animation was good which is also one of the best season in the history of anime right now.

I would definitely recommend this show to everyone interested in China's Warring States period, as well as anyone who loves history (which would be me). Both manga and the show are very good, the manga author has done a great deal of research in history, and that historic research and detail is shown in anime as well.
With all it's historic seriousness, the main hero's clumsiness was like a comical relief to me and I kept laughing at his antics.
Just like the other reviewers mentioned, the animation itself needs a lot of improvement in the beginning: some reviewers mention mistakes in season 1 only, I noticed some very glaring animation errors in season 2. But I am willing to forgive the poor early animation, since the storyline and voice acting are excellent.
One reviewer was complaining about bad English dubbing.
I watch anime in sub only and the VA's are excellent, my favorites are Masakazu Morita and Hosoya Yoshimasa in this show.
Please give this show a try: you won't be disappointed. While you are at it, read the manga as well!

Stumbled across this one, and I'm kinda glad I did, the first 3 episodes the animation was kinda wonky 🤔 like a low-budget CGI or something, but after that it cleans up really well because they ditched the cheap CGI
The story, although fictional itself, is based off an actual time period and a way of life, and some characters are based off real people
Give it a shot you'll probably like it, I tend to throw it on when I'm eating a quick meal, or just about a hour before I turn in for the night
At least watch the first 10 episodes to get a feel for it, upon writing this review that's where I am.

The cgi is absolutely horrid like clunky Playstation 1 bad and for the love of God don't try to watch the English version it's all monotone pause mid sentence and it just sounds like people reading out loud without any real emotion absolute worst voice acting ever.
As for people claiming it's one of the greatest animes of all time..not a chance there's a extremely strong dislike for this show.
But The show is likeable but I could miss parts and not care at all it's not like I'm glued to the screen waiting to see what happens next it's just alright like something I might watch if I'm bored and have nothing else to watch or something to put on when I'm ready to fall asleep but want something on in the background.

The Kingdom anime is the best war anime I have ever seen. Its story tells of a young man named Shin and Hyo, two brothers who aspire to become generals.
The story is fabulous and wonderful in all respects, from the amazing strategies carried out by the generals, as well as the internal conflicts that exist in the Kingdom of Qin, and the change in events and others.
What I didn't like about Kingdom is the drawing of the first season, but regardless of the drawing of the first season, the anime is great.
I recommend that you watch it, as it is fun and even the manga is better than the anime itself.
