FX just keeps rolling out the good news for its marquee anthology series, with American Horror Story and now the critically-adorned crime drama Fargo primed to return in 2016.
News of the latter’s renewal arrived earlier today, and though no cast or premiere dates were locked down, series creator Noah Hawley, John Cameron, Warren Littlefield, along with Joel and Ethan Coen are confirmed to executive produce the next outing.
“Year two of Fargo is an extraordinary achievement and, given Noah Hawley’s masterful storytelling, we can’t wait to see where the third, all-new version of Fargo takes us,” Schrier said along with FX Networks and FX Productions president of programming Eric Schrier, who announced the pickup alongside fellow president Nick Grad. “Our thanks to Noah, Warren, Joel and Ethan, John and our partners at MGM Television for making Fargo such a memorable and rewarding journey.”

'Fargo' producers talk Season 2 pressure and challenges Calgary, Alberta. Success has not bred comfort for the creative team behind FX's "Fargo." It's early April at one of the vast stages housing props and interior sets for "Fargo." Just one day earlier, it was announced that "Fargo" was receiving a prestigious Peabody Award, an honor that capped off a Season 1 haul that included a Golden Globe, several Emmys and perhaps the best reviews for any 2014 television series. Not bad for a show that met with many raised eyebrows when FX announced it was bringing the Coen Brothers' Oscar-winning favorite to TV, only without any of the same actors or characters and with only the tacit blessing of its original creators. Noah Hawley, creator of FX's "Fargo," was initially cagey regarding what a second "Fargo" installment might even look like, only to reveal later that the 1979 Sioux Falls...

Chicago – The opening night of the 2015 Midwest Independent Film Festival is on its usual First Tuesday of the month, February 3rd, and what better way to kick it off then to have Chicagoland native Alex Beh come back to present the Windy City premiere of his first feature film, “Warren.” Beh wrote, directed and performed as the title character in this slice-of-life romance about staying true to a life’s path, and everything that happens in spite of that hope.
Alex Beh was born in Chicago, and grew up in nearby Winnetka. He trained locally in acting and improvisation through The Second City, iO Theater and the Piven Workshop. Now based in Los Angeles, he continues to work as an actor, writer and director, with seven short films to his credit and a number of TV and independent film appearances. In “Warren,” he cast veteran actors John Heard and Jean Smart...

Warren screens at Landmark’s Plaza Frontenac Cinemas on Tuesday, November 18 at 6:15 Pm as part of the 23rd Annual Whitaker St. Louis International Film Festival. Get ticket information here
From the concrete canyons of the Windy City comes this intimate tale of a post college twenty-something at a crossroads while dealing with an unraveling family and the return of a lost love. When we first meet Warren (writer/director Alex Beh), he’s rummaging through his mementos in the basement of his soon-to-be-demolished suburban childhood home. His grizzled Pop (John Heard) is living on booze and quickly fading memories while Mom (Jean Smart) has moved on and out, now living, along with Warren’s out-of-control kid brother, with a new beau. But Warren’s got his own life in the “city of broad shoulders”. He’s thrown in the towel on his acting dreams, but still occasionally joins two...

On Wednesday, Feb. 26, ABC premieres "Mixology," a comedy set in one night in one bar -- high-end Manhattan watering hole Mix -- as 10 single people try to find love, or at least lust.
Blake Lee stars as Tom, a man recently dumped by his fiancee, whose friends -- confident Cal (Craig Frank) and fast-talking Bruce (Andrew Santino) -- are tossing him into the singles pool after a decade off the market. First, he meets beautiful but brutal attorney Maya (Ginger Gonzaga), which leaves him in tears. It gets worse after that.
"Cal is the more levelheaded, clear-thinking man," Santino tells Zap2it, "and Tom is very impulsive and nervous and riddled with anxiety, and Bruce is the devil on his shoulder, if you will. I'm trying to get Tom to do something he's not used to. Instead of putting his feet in the water, I tell him to jump all...

Alex Beh's indie rom-com "Warren" is the kind of indie festival hit that, with the right distributor, could go far. Set in and around the improv comedy scene in Chicago, the film follows its ambling title character (played by writer/director Beh), a late-20something comedian who moonlights as a barista. He's caught in the polar vortex between his divorcing parents (played by great character actors John Heard and Jean Smart). Meanwhile, an old flame (Sarah Habel), now engaged, shows up in town. Over the course of a few days, Warren and his ex Emma reconnect, and Warren begins to find his own groove. I sat down with Beh at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival after-party for the premiere screening. Dapper and charismatic, he's young and optimistic about the future, but not overly idealistic. After a bevy of short films (check out his wonderful "Coffees" below) and a few TV and screen appearances,...

Going back home when you're older is never easy, but sometimes that onset of maturity allows you to view your life through a whole new lens. And that seems to be the texture that's part of Alex Beh's upcoming drama "Warren." The director, writer and star of the film tells the tale of young comedian who returns to his hometown, after giving up on making it in the Chicago improv scene. However, it gives him the chance to reconnect with a former flame, and soon he must decide whether to pursue love, or give his career a second chance. And in this exclusive clip from the film, the young man learns how a snowstorm and happenstance brought his mother and father together.Co-starring Sarah Habel, John Heard, Jean Smart, Andrew Santino, Joseph A. Nuñez, Austin Stowell, Greg Hollimon and Bruce Jarchow, "Warren" will have its world premiere at the...

At ABC‘s upfront, there were a few things that the network wanted to make sure you knew. 1) They are really impressed with the idea that people are going to watch Rebel Wilson do just about anything, and 2) There isn’t anything they’re happier about than bringing you more episodes of television created by Shonda Rhimes.
On these notes, the network would love for you to know that more Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal are coming your way. These, ABC would like to impress upon you (as advertisers) are really good shows. Because… hellllooo… so many people watch them that we’re bringing them back. But wait, don’t think that you’re as excited as you can get yet, because if those are your favorite shows, then we have a new one for you to fall in love with, Betrayal.
Also on the agenda, and actually looking like they might be interesting,...

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the third announced earlier today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on ABC.
The network is changing up some of its serialized dramas - removing random repeats in favor of two "uninterrupted runs" of twelve episodes each (one in the fall, one in the spring) for shows like "Once Upon A Time," "Grey’s Anatomy," "Scandal" and "Revenge". The large gaps between the two half-seasons will be bridged by "limited series" designed around only 12-13 episode seasons.
Several other pilots didn't make the final cut and won't be seen including the high-profile "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" rip-off "Gothica", McG's rip-off of Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo + Juliet" entitled "Westside", the series based on Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain ride, the Annie Potts-led "Murder in Manhattan" about...

Great news from ABC: The network has ordered additional seasons of its soapy dramas Nashville, Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy, as well as another year of Castle.
The network also rounded out its drama orders by renewing Revenge and Once Upon A Time. On the comedy side, it’s bringing back Modern Family (no duh), The Middle, Suburgatory, Last Man Standing, and The Neighbors.
As for new shows, ABC announced the pickup of comedy Super Fun Night, a Rebel Wilson starrer about a junior attorney and her two best friends, who have a standing date every Friday night for the last 13 years.
