Once underpaid in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor has now gone ahead and created history with his production company ‘Billy17.’ Tom Holland’s company has signed a deal with Sony Pictures, something which no Spider-Man actor has done before.

The news comes in the wake of the Culver City lot dating their fourth Holland Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man movie for July 24, 2026, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.

Bradley Cooper almost bowed out of “The Place Beyond the Pines.”

Writer/director Derek Cianfrance, who co-wrote the feature with future “Sound of Metal” director Darius Marder, revealed during IndieWire’s Screen Talk live at the New Directors/New Films festival that Academy Award-nominated Cooper wavered after receiving an updated script.

Cianfrance brought writer Marder onboard to help rewrite “every word” of “The Place Beyond the Pines” shortly before shooting began. According to Cianfrance, actor Cooper was less than pleased with the updates to his character, a police officer who kills an empathetic thief (Ryan Gosling) midway through the decade-spanning 2013 film.

“I had given [Darius Marder] the script and he had a lot of notes for it, and I kind of agreed with a lot of what he was saying. And so we rewrote every word from 10 weeks to six weeks,” Cianfrance said during Screen Talk live, co-hosted by Anne Thompson and Ryan Lattanzio.

Critics praised Boseman's acting in 21 Bridges, despite mixed reviews of the repetitive storyline. The film received a 54% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes but an impressive 91% from audiences. 21 Bridges was Chadwick Boseman's last film before his death in August 2020, highlighting his talent.

The 2019 action thriller 21 Bridges includes a well-rounded cast of established film and television actors who help bring life into the drama. The film follows Andre Davis, an NYPD detective, as he orders the police to shut down the 21 river crossing bridges of Manhattan to find two cop killers. Along for the ride is narcotics detective Frankie Burns, who has an ulterior motive in helping Davis and a team of hundreds as they search for the cop killers.

Despite mixed reviews due to the repetitive storyline, critics praised Boseman's acting in the movie. 21 Bridges got a 54% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes but an impressive 91% from audiences.

Exclusive: Raúl Castillo (Cassandro), Jamie McShane (Wednesday) and Sam Keeley (Burnt) have joined the cast of HBO‘s Mark Ruffalo-led series, the Untitled Brad Ingelsby Task Force Project (w/t), currently in pre-production.

Castillo plays Cliff, Robbie’s lifelong best friend and devout cynic; McShane plays Perry, a feared and respected man who’s made a career out of mayhem; Keeley plays Jayson, the leader of a local crime organization.

The series is set in the working-class suburbs outside of Philadelphia and follows an FBI agent who heads a Task Force. His goal is to put an end to a string of drug-house robberies led by an unsuspecting family man. The Untitled Task Force project is based on an original idea by the creator of Mare of Easttown, Brad Ingelsby.

The trio joins the previously announced cast including Mark Ruffalo, Tom Pelphrey, Emilia Jones and Thuso Mbedu.

Bradley Cooper was supposed to team up with Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan briefly for this 2015 drama. But it was a collaboration that never came to be.

In the same year audiences saw him star in Fifty Shades of Grey, Dornan almost appeared in one of Cooper’s quieter films. In 2015, The Star Is Born actor played a tormented chef looking for redemption in the drama Burnt. The feature boasted an ensemble cast that included Daniel Bruhl, Alicia Vikander, and Uma Thurman. Dornan was initially recruited to be a part of the ensemble.

But Dornan’s scenes were soon cut from the feature, which led to a lot of speculation. In a 2015 interview with Entertainment Weekly (via Cinemablend), Burnt director John Wells cleared the air about Dornan’s lost scene.

It has been a full 20 years since Oscar-winner Kevin Costner directed a movie but he is finally back for his first turn behind the camera since 2003's "Open Range." Not only that, but Costner decided to go ahead and tackle an ambitious two-part cinematic event that will arrive in theaters next summer in the form of "Horizon: An American Saga." Chapter 1 is due to arrive in June of next year, followed by Chapter 2 in August, making for a pretty interesting experiment on the part of Warner Bros.

Now, we have our first glimpse at the experiment with a brief teaser trailer. For those who have enjoyed Costner's work in recent years on the hit TV series "Yellowstone," this is likely to serve as a treat as he's on horseback in an old-school Western shooting his rifle and rocking one heck of a mustache. This looks like the dad movie event of the decade.

The first Star Wars film since The Rise of Skywalker has a brand new writer attached.

Damon Lindelof, the writer behind Lost, The Leftovers and Watchmen, was originally hired to co-write the forthcoming release alongside Justin Britt-Gibson. However, it was reported that the pair left the project in February.

Instead, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight will now write the film.

Variety reports that the film will be announced at Star Wars Celebration in London this April.

Knight’s previous acclaimed credits include Eastern Promises, Locke and Spencer.

MrBeast received top creator honors for the second year in a row at the 2022 YouTube Streamy Awards.

The evening was hosted by YouTube creator Eric Decker, best known as Airrack, and featured a performance from the rapper Yung Gravy.

Heading into the awards ceremony, which took place Dec. 4, Jimmy Donaldson — the massively popular YouTube creator known as MrBeast — topped the nominee list for the second consecutive year with a total of seven nominations. He was joined by Addison Rae, Airrack, Blogilates, Charli D’Amelio, Dream, JiDion, Logan Paul, Mark Rober and MrBallen in the top creator of the year category.

This year’s Streamy Awards also included new categories recognizing top gaming streamers and virtual YouTubers, also known as VTubers.

Putative Twitter purchaser Elon Musk has begun hawking a perfume called Burnt Hair via his tunneling firm The Boring Company, and has encouraged folks to pony up so he can acquire the social media platform.

On Wednesday, the Tesla CEO tweeted, “Please buy my perfume, so I can buy Twitter.” Musk also noted sales have now exceeded 1 million for the scent and changed his Twitter profile to read “Perfume Salesman.”

Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent isn’t ready to let go of her past mistakes with ex-fiance Randall Emmett just yet.

After their disastrous breakup in October 2021, Lala has worked to rebuild her life as a single mom without the comfort of having a partner around.

Their relationship imploded after rumors of infidelity hit the internet. Pictures of the alleged incident surfaced that seemingly showed Randall out for a night on the town with two anonymous women. Lala was at the couple’s home in California expecting their first child together at the time.

Fantastic Fest will be making its long-awaited return to in-person festival events in Austin this September, and per usual, the lineup is heavy on delightfully bizarre horror films from around the world.

In addition to the impeccable selection of genre fare the festival has come to be known for, the lineup also features several Cannes favorites that are sure to be players throughout the fall festival season. Ruben Östlund’s Palme d’Or winning “Triangle of Sadness” will make its U.S. premiere, closing out the festival. The U.S. premiere of Park Chan-wook’s “Decision to Leave” is also headed to Fantastic Fest, and the director will be in attendance to accept a lifetime achievement award for his mind-bending body of work, which includes films like “Oldboy” and “The Handmaiden.”

The series is premiering as a four-day event, with double features dropping each night, all hosted by the Oscar-winning “Pan’s Labyrinth” director.

Each episode is helmed by a different acclaimed horror director, including “The Babadook” director Jennifer Kent, “Splice” director Vincenzo Natali and more.

Netflix and Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Blade 2, Hellboy) have teamed up for new anthology series “Cabinet of Curiosities,” a collection of live-action stories that Netflix says “is meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror.”

“From macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy, the eight sinister tales — including two original works by del Toro — will be brought to life by a team of writers and directors personally chosen by the Shape of Water filmmaker.”

Netflix has announced today that the series will debut Tuesday, October 25, launching a special four day, double episode Netflix & Chills Halloween event. Two all-new “Cabinet of Curiosities” tales will debut daily through Friday, October 28, when the entire collection of eight stories will be available to Netflix members around the world.

After 12 grueling weeks in Houston, “Top Chef” Season 19 has finally come to an end, with a brand new contestant awarded the title of Top Chef.

The finale came down to three chefs: Houston native Evelyn Garcia, “Last Chance Kitchen” powerhouse Sarah Welch, and New York-based Australian chef Buddha Lo.

Not content to let Netflix’s Stranger Things or Prime Video’s The Boys to dominate the summer TV landscape, HBO is coming through with a new season of one of its big hits. Westworld season 4 is set to premiere June 26 on both HBO and HBO Max. What will this season of the increasingly confusing sci-fi drama be about? Per HBO’s synopsis it will be “A dark odyssey about the fate of sentient life on earth.” So you know, only that.

In “Freedmen’s Town,” he and his fellow chefs made dishes that fed their souls, but Kolpin’s meatloaf fell just short of his competitors in an especially strong challenge where no one made a bad dish.
