Yarc, his girlfriend Princess, and their friend Stephen leave the comforts of Brooklyn NY to check into the sprawling Three Valley Chateau in the snowy mountains of British Columbia. Yarc is a devout believer in the paranormal, Princess is an adamant skeptic, and Stephen thinks there's "something" to be discovered, but doesn't have proof. All three are in for an adventure as the sprawling 200-room chateau is allegedly rife with paranormal activity. A creature that crawls along the bottom of the pool, and a shrieking woman that hovers over beds are just two of the ghosts allegedly in residence. Upon entry, they're immediately scared by an unsuspecting critter squatting in the hotel. For the sake of a good first night's sleep, they try to ignore sounds coming from the floor above but make sure to investigate the next night. Their search seems to point to Room 328, a dreaded guest room where the shrieking woman lurks. They're alarmed to find the room is in shambles but are even more terrified when Stephen's attempt to channel the woman garners a loud, unexplainable noise. Next, the trio explores the indoor swimming pool where everyone senses something in the pool with them (Princess feels something brush against her leg). When a fan turns on by itself, the group freaks. Just when Stephen and Yarc think they've finally made a believer of Princess, she debunks some potential evidence (she believes the fan is on a timer) and prides herself in outsmarting their superstition. Finally, on the last night, the group returns to Room 328. They plea for a sign from the spirits and get their wish in the form of the elevator carriage arriving on its own with an unseen rider. When they finally get back to the ground floor, they race to their bedroom and wait for morning to check out once and for all.

Katie, Zak, and James, three musician friends from Brooklyn, NY, drive up the coast to Newport, Rhode Island where they take up residence for five days in Seaview Terrace. The cavernous Gilded Age mansion was left behind by Edson Bradley, a late 19th-century whiskey mogul. While his ghost is believed to still be in residence, the opulent estate is reportedly lorded over by Bradley's late wife, Julia. Today, guests report drastic temperature changes, strange noises, and terrifying apparitions. Zak is a believer in the paranormal, James is a skeptic, and Katie is on the fence but eager to find proof of the unknown. The investigators arrive after nightfall and, finding the house without power, descend into the inky basement in search of a fuse. They're startled by inexplicable sounds in the darkness and retreat to Mrs. Bradley's master bedroom for the night. Zak talks in his sleep about a hat, which the team laughs off until later, when investigating the sound of footsteps, Zak finds a women's hat in the attic. While tinkling on the keys of a grand piano, the trio hears the sounds of disembodied footsteps on the floors above. Despite the plush canopy beds, claw-foot tubs, and roaring fireplaces, Katie, Zak and James quickly start to feel less like guests and more like intruders. They witness doors closing and opening on their own and watch in horror as an EMF detector seems to record a presence from the beyond. On the final night, Katie tries to relax with a bubble bath, but a storm sets all three friends on edge. When a set of locked double doors bursts open in front of them, they panic and begin to unravel. During their climactic final investigation, they hear what sounds like phantom organ music. When they later discover an organ, seemingly dismantled for years, they speculate that it may have been the lady of the manor at work (not to mention a ghost organ). Zak and Katie end their stay as devout believers and although James has his doubts, all three agree they've had enough scares to last a lifetime and they eagerly move out of the mansion forever.

Katye, her aunt Heather, and her late sister's boyfriend Dillon leave Ft. Worth to be admitted to the abandoned Yorktown Memorial Hospital in Southern Texas. The hospital is reportedly said to house a nun that haunts the chapel, apparitions that touch intruders, and a demon-like entity lurking in the basement. Katye and Heather believe they will encounter the paranormal, while Dillon is skeptical. The team settles into the grimy hospital and pulls three rusty wire cots together to sleep on. Untraceable sounds come from every direction and lead the team out of the chapel to a hallway where Katye feels her camera being violently grabbed out of her hands. Hoping the basement holds answers, they plunge into the hospital's underbelly and make disturbing discoveries. The team finds a former caretaker's apartment and tackles her unfinished tasks to bring peace to restless spirits. Heather suspects one such spirit might reveal himself in photographs, and is stunned to find several pictures that may be from the other side. After the hospital floods in a terrible rainstorm, their final investigation leads them to the basement to face off with the building's most potent spirit. Booming noises from nowhere splinter the group and send them scrambling for the yard. Katye, Dillon and Heather discharge themselves the next morning with compelling evidence and a new respect for the paranormal.

Jeff, his girlfriend Shannon, and friend Tommy drive from their hometown of Philadelphia, PA into the backwoods of New York to investigate paranormal reports at a historic mansion. Unlike his companions, Jeff is a resolute skeptic who thinks there's no such thing as ghosts. Their destination is Burn Brae Manor, a stately house and wedding gift from the President of the Singer Sewing Machine Company to his daughter, Margaret Ellis. Unfortunately, her stay was short-lived. After losing her infant son, she hanged herself from a tree in the yard. To this day, her ghost is reported to haunt the halls, and the sounds of children are said to echo through the house. For five days, the group will investigate these reports by living alone inside the manor. They arrive after dark and set up camp in Margaret's former bedroom, where they try to make themselves at home. But things inside the house are anything but peaceful. In search of a hot water heater, the team explores the pitch-black basement, where relics from Burn Brae's past set Shannon on edge. At dinner, a surveillance camera mysteriously malfunctions, and inexplicable noises nearly have Tommy fleeing the house altogether. The group is terrified to hear what sounds like a child crying, and they nervously head to the mansion's creaky attic to pinpoint the source of the noise. Soon after, objects seem to take on a life of their own, and a fleeting glance at a ghostly hand causes Shannon to begin an emotional downward spiral. The next day, Tommy believes a figure is watching them from the upstairs window, and that night, a trip through the forest to the family's overgrown graveyard leads to terrifying realizations. As tensions rise in Shannon and Jeff's relationship, events in the house continue to escalate. They detect unnerving EMF readings, lights flicker on and off, and on the last night, a phantom noise beckons the team back to the basement. Shannon has a complete meltdown and screams for Jeff to return. After a shocking final investigation, Jeff, Shannon and Tommy leave the mansion the next morning, all thoroughly convinced that they have just survived a week in a legitimately haunted house.

Tyler, a former police officer, his sister Amber, and her husband Chris, drive from Southern Ohio to Moundsville, WV, where they lock themselves up in the notorious West Virginia State Penitentiary. In its heyday, the now-closed prison was the scene of incalculable abuse, violence, and murders. Today, it is in a state of advanced decay and is allegedly haunted by the tortured and vengeful spirits of former prisoners. Chris is a true believer who wants to prove to his skeptical brother-in-law and questioning wife that the paranormal does exist. The group enters the compound through a revolving iron gate once used to hold back prisoners. They set up for a five-day sentence in the only cell big enough for three people to sleep in, making do with hard beds and prison sheets. The next morning, Tyler notices that the revolving gate has seemingly moved on its own and motivates the group to find the controls in the basement below. While exploring the bottom floor, a painful kick in Tyler's foot and a whisper in Amber's ear is enough to make the team flee. When reviewing an EVP recording of the whisper, the team is disturbed to hear what sounds like a voice saying, "Behind you." Tyler spots a rapidly vanishing figure with the FLIR thermal imager and gives chase to the psych ward where an experience in the isolation cells makes him lose his composure. The next day, he is stunned again when he asks any spirits to turn on a light in the room if they are present - and they do! Next, they head to the prison's infamous subterranean rec room where Amber discovers the physical power of the paranormal as ghostly fingers seem to grab her throat. Meanwhile, Tyler and Chris are so affected by the negative energy they seem to take on the roles of feuding inmates and nearly come to blows. The group saves the infamous North Hall, home to only the worst prisoners, for their final investigation but quickly evacuate when they hear a massive, unexplainable sound.

In the Stranded series premiere, Philadelphia natives Sara, her ex-boyfriend Sean, and their friend Xand catch a boat to the historic Oceanic Hotel on the remote and fog-shrouded Star Island off the coast of New Hampshire. Sara is the group's paranormal enthusiast, while Sean is yet to be convinced, and Xand is a cynic who's looking for adventure. The group steps onto the island and quickly discover reports of disembodied voices, faces peeking in windows, and of furniture that seems to have a life of its own. Their first dinner in the hotel is disturbed by a slamming noise that may or may not have been a coincidence and the girls share a bedroom since Sara's strong beliefs scare her out of sleeping alone. A window that seems to shut itself leads the group to the fourth floor where they suspect ghosts from long-dead hotel staff may be residing. Rumors of a child spirit keep the team on their toes while they explore the nursery and record a hair raising EVP. During their stay, the team explores the farthest corner of the island and discovers a graveyard that could hold clues to the mysterious spirit's identity. With a new lead, they hatch a plan and spring a trap to catch the spirit in action - they tie a number of dolls to the doors in a hallway, hoping to confirm a spirit's presence if any of the doors have opened (and thus the dolls move). No action occurs, but the gang is still spooked. On their last night in the hotel, they decide they should split up for one last investigation. Alone and scared, Xand begs her friends to reunite and they take on the fourth floor together. Here, at the epicenter of the paranormal activity, the team demands the spirit show themselves. One really large, scary crash later, and Sean is determined to face any forces at the hotel, but Xand and Sara convince him to back off. The three leave the island, with skeptics Xand and Sean certainly more convinced than when he arrived about the validity of paranormal forces.
