Kenneth Branagh is a theater man at heart. So his spanking new version of the 1934 Dame Agatha Christie chestnut Murder on the Orient Express – Branagh directs and stars as world-famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot – feels more like an all-star, theatrically confined stage piece than something freshly reimagined for the screen. Its delights, including dazzling production design and period costumers, are decidedly retro, as is the plot: A man is murdered on the Orient Express. Poirot must interrogates a dozen strangers on the train, each a suspect in the bloody homicide.

Just like her hit TV shows, the news that executive producer Shonda Rhimes will depart ABC for Netflix has shaken Twitter.
“Can’t wait to see what shonda rhimes does with the creative freedom and latitude at netflix — but, uh, does this mean grey’s is ending?” one fan wrote Monday.
While Grey’s Anatomy — along with other Rhimes-produced series Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder and midseason debut For the People — will continue to air on ABC as planned, others still feared for the consequences the move to a limitless streaming platform will have on their free time.

For Parks and Recreation showrunner Mike Schur, Thursday’s Emmy nominations were as relaxed as a day at the spa.
After all, he’s been through more nerve-wracking situations — crafting the series finale for his beloved NBC comedy, for example.
“People in America have a real thing about finales,” Schur tells TVLine. “Everyone’s like, ‘What’s going to happen in the finale? Is the finale going to be good or bad?’ And there’s this feeling that if the finale’s bad, then the entire amount of time that you devoted to watching a show over seven years is totally ruined.

Besides the major clash of Salman Khan's Sultan Vs Shah Rukh Khan's Raees (in Eid) that has been hitting the headlines, 2016 will witness yet another box-office war as two of the much-touted projects are set to release on the same day.
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mirzya will clash with Anthony D'souza's Azhar, a biopic on former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. Both the films have been blocked for May 13, 2016.
Both the projects are significant and look promising. While Mirzya marks the debut of Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher (which is held as the biggest launch pad), actor Emraan Hashmi is doing a biopic for the first time. Mirzya is director Rakeysh Mehra's first love story and his next after the super successful film, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. It is a contemporary love story set in Rajasthan. Finally bringing the convoluted and muddled story of The Evil Within to a close with yet another bang, The Consequence finds Juli Kidman squaring off with her bosses at Mobius while escaping the twisted Stem landscape for good. While it’s not quite the pleasant surprise that last month’s The Assignment was, this finale is still more than satisfying, adding much more detail to the game’s mythology and featuring more than a few hair-raising scenes.
Picking up immediately where The Assignment left off, Kidman continues to wander throughout Ruvik’s dreamscape in search of Leslie. While many of the revelations thrown at players this time around are retreads of plot points already hit on in The Evil Within, the ending still packs a punch as well as a genuinely surprising and decently believable twist that hints at a spectacular sequel if it’s handled correctly.

As much as I loved Shinji Mikami’s last entry in his venerable series of horror games, The Evil Within left me wanting more closure from its convoluted and gap-filled story. Any plot details that were given weren’t terribly straightforward, the ending was left way too open and just about nothing was explained in regards to how Juli Kidman, Sebastian’s partner, knew as much as she did about what was going on. Thankfully, the first episode of Dlc, The Assignment, remedies this by offering a story-driven look into Kidman’s role in the proceedings.
Stepping into Kidman’s shoes this time around, The Assignment follows the shady double agent as she tries to track down Leslie, the psycho-savant who could get her out of the Stem’s nightmare world. Working for Mobius, she is told that she will be given a way into the system that will make...

Actor Salman Khan celebrates his 49th birthday today. Ever since the flamboyant ‘bad boy’ of Hindi Cinema made his debut in 1988 with the film Biwi Ho To Aisi, he has always maintained a good balance between his work as a entertainer and his work as a humanitarian.
Khan is one of the biggest stars in the Hindi film industry. After his debut he impressed with his roles in films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Saajan, Karan Arjun, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Phir Milenge, Tere Naam and Khamoshi. While he had a loverboy image in the nineties, he completely transformed into an action hero in recent years.

Whichever way you look at Action Jackson, the puns, the slapstick and the lack of plates for everyone to eat on in beginning is all synonymous with a particular kind comedy action masala. The little touches of style maybe what Prabhudheva is famous for and the leading ladies Sonakshi Sinha and Yami Gautham might add eye candy, but there is nothing new nor entertaining for this Ajay Devgn starrer. Besides Ajay of course.
In most cases, you would start with a story. Two guys, Aj and Vishy (Ajay Devgn) both look alike, no relation. One is a small time yet high powered thug. The other doing a runner from his Mafia Boss. Between Nick Offerman, Ron Swanson and Duke Silver, it can be hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.
The 44-year-old actor declares his undying love for whiskey in a new music video courtesy of Elite Daily. This video has it all: an acoustic performance, horseback riding, sheep-herding, woodworking and a rowboat.

Fans of Parks and Recreation know Offerman as breakfast-loving, woodworking, anti-government employee Ron Swanson, who moonlights as popular-with-the-middle-aged-housewives saxophone player Duke Silver. In this new video, Offerman shows off his musical talents and love of woodwork.
Offerman has been busy promoting the final season of Parks and Recreation, which kicks off Tuesday, Jan. 13, with back-to-back episodes on NBC. Just last month, he appeared in a sketch on Conan shilling hand-carved wooden emojis. You know, for a heavier and more rustic form of communication.

Wow. Wow, wow, wow, wow. If last week's Saturday Night Live with Woody Harrelson was what Season 40 looks like when it's on fire (which, yes, spoiler alert, it was, and it totally did), this week's Cameron Diaz episode is what the show looks like when it's coming as close to perfection as an episode of SNL can. Hyperbole? Nah. Subjective to taste? Sure. Dependent on an affinity for/longstanding appreciation Diaz? Nope. Just like Woody did, Cameron showed up, made herself a temporary, inexpendable part of the cast, and killed.

Rohit Shetty’s Singham Returns sees Ajay Devgan reprise his much-applauded role of D.C.P Bajirao Singham.
For an action thriller, Singham featured a short yet well composed soundtrack by national award-winners Ajay-Atul and lyrics by the incorrigible Swanand Kirkire. Shetty has opted for another short album again, comprising of five tracks composed by Yo Yo Honey Singh (‘Lungi Dance’ – Chennai Express), Jeet Ganguly (Aashiqui 2), Ankit Tiwari (Ek Villain) and Meet Bros Anjan (Kick). Vocal talents featured in the album are that of Mamta Sharma (‘Munni Badnaam’ – Dabangg), Arjit Singh (‘Muskurane’ – Citylights), Ankit Tiwari (‘Galliyaan’ – Ek Villain) and Mika Singh (‘Jhumme Ki Raat’ – Kick).
The album opens with Aaja Mata Satakli. If you are not tiresome of the overuse of Yo Yo Honey Singh in Bollywood yet, then ‘Aaja Mata Satakli’ just might be impressive or the push you needed to feel otherwise. It is a typical Yo Yo fare,...

When it came to the character of lawyer Abdullah Sheikh in upcoming comedy flick Entertainment, for directors Sajid and Farhad only one name popped into their minds, Johnny Lever. Director Sajid says, “Having written films like All The Best, Boss, Golmaal Returns and Housefull 2 and getting to interact with him closely, Johnny Lever was the natural choice for the role of lawyer Abdullah Sheikh in Entertainment.”
Farhad adds that there’s much more to the character than what has been seen of Johnny Lever so far onscreen. ”Unlike other films where Johnny Lever has been seen doing comedy, here he’s seen expressing a gamut of emotions. The actor has shown that he is indeed a versatile actor,” says Farhad.
Why Johnny Lever was the natural choice to play Abdullah in Entertainment is a post from: BollySpice

Towards the end of June, Sonakshi Sinha, who is riding high on the success of her last release Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty, was snapped on holiday in Malibu where she met up with rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh. In fact Honey Singh also posted a selfie saying, "Having fun with some Angels and Demons at Malibu.@sonakshisinha @NeeshaBadAss #summers #California." Now we hear that Sonakshi is all set to feature in Honey Singh's international music video. Apparently, Singh wanted a sexy and glamorous Indian face for his next international music video, and since Sonakshi had done the video of 'Party All Night' with him for the film Boss, he requested her to feature in his next video as well. While the details of the music video are yet to be finalized, Sonakshi will apparently join the crew later to shoot the video. Currently the actress is...

This week’s Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, started on a “short”, sad note as host Ranvir Shorey read out a humorous letter from host Drashti Dhami explaining why she has left the show. Ranvir even joked that he wished she hadn’t left him as he now has to do all the work himself! Of course, thankfully, Drashti has been replaced and it is by none other than Manish Paul who was one of the original hosts during the earlier seasons of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. All the judges and contestants welcomed him warmly, and the show was filled with his usual hilarious antics and natural flirty behaviour with the ladies!
This week’s theme of Jhalak was ‘Judges Demand’ and this meant that the judges had chosen the specific dance style and that each contestant was to perform. Only how they did it, would remain entirely their choice.

In the world of videogames bosses aren't the kind of authority figures that'll give you a last minute report to do, or delegate to you tasks they simply can't be bothered doing. No, these bosses would rather take that report, roll it up into a ball, set fire to it, and throw it at your face. The only delegation they're interested in is getting you to test the sharpness of their axe, or the effectiveness of a new spell.
The end level boss is almost as old as videogaming itself, and many genres have some form of superior foes awaiting you at the end of a level, area or mission. These bosses are often large, overpowered beasts that make the foes you've faced thus far seem tame in comparison,...

Mumbai, April 4: In Subhash Kapoor's "Guddu Rangeela", Ronit Roy plays an out-and-out villain, a man so despicable that he makes Gabbar Singh look like a cartoon character. He says he has to beef up considerbly for the part.
"I'd be a far more powerful villain than the one I played in 'Boss'. He is much larger much more powerful," said Ronit.
In the movie, he plays the head of a Khap panchayat, and there's a lot that needs to be done to perfect the Haryanvi character.
"There is a lot of preparation required since I play a head of the Khap panchayat. I've tried to understand why he behaves the way he does. I.

For those who are used to seeing Akshay Kumar on the big screen at regular intervals, it is turning out to be a case of withdrawal anxiety for his hardcore fans and followers. It is three months since the release of Boss and for an actor who releases an average of four movies every year, it is pretty much about time that he is seen on the big screen. However, with Holiday moved further away from the month of May to June, the gap has only been widened as it would now be eight m...

Call him Boss, call him Rowdy Rathore or even Joker but for most of us, he still remains the only Khiladi the industry has and probably will ever have. Koffee with Karan Season 4 added yet another new A-lister who has never been on the show before and made the season even more memorable. Akshay Kumar finally made it to this couch for a coffee with one of the biggest directors of the industry who hasn’t signed him yet (He made sure he points that out!)
About not being on the show before, he says that he doesn’t want to create any controversy by saying something about someone. Simple and straight. When it comes to Akshay’s style, we all know it is unique. The man is self-made and has no qualms showing it outright. He pointed out the fact that he has done most of his films with...

2013 saw legends, established celebrities, and newcomers alike try their hands (and hips!) at item numbers. As usual, the BollySpice team enjoyed watching all our favorite actors and actresses shake a leg on the big screen but a select few stood out the most.
5. Sonakshi Sinha – “Thank God It’s Friday” (Himmatwala), “Party All Night” (Boss)
Sure, “Thank God It’s Friday” was probably one of the most annoying songs of the year, but we have to hand it to Sonakshi for finally making an effort to shed that Desi damsel image with some impressive club hits this year. Sonakshi handled “Thank God It’s Friday” all on her own and her appearance in “Party All Night” (a true club-dance number featuring Honey Singh) was a treat. Here’s to seeing more sides of Sonakshi in 2014!

Mumbai, Dec 17: After ripping open Bollywood charts throughout 2013 with nifty numbers like "Thalaiva tribute (Lungi dance)" in "Chennai Express" and "Party all night" in "Boss", rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has recorded a song written by veteran lyricist Gulzar for "Dedh Ishqiya".
The song entitled "Horn okay please" will be filmed on Arshad Warsi's character of Babban in "Dedh Ishqiya". The collaboration was planned and perpetrated by the film's producer and music composer Vishal Bhardwaj.
According to a source close to Honey Singh, when the rapper received a call from Bhardwaj, he thought it was a prank, more so when he.

Bollywood’s very own action hero Akshay Kumar proved he is not just all brawn when he attended a specially convened road safety rally in Mumbai, India, this week. The generous star, responsible for some of Bollywood’s biggest recent box office smashes, including Omg (Oh My God), Boss and Special Chabbis, gave up his free time to promote the important message to motorcyclists of road awareness and riding safely on Mumbai’s super busy roads.
The ‘Ride for Safety’ rally flagged off from Bandra-Kurla Complex (Bkc) and was organised by the diligent Mumbai Police Department, who have previously worked with Akshay Kumar on other public awareness-raising projects. The rally saw more than 2,000 two-wheelers take part in the event, which covered a route from Bandra-Kurla Complex to the Hajji Ali Mosque, some 20 kilometers in about 50 minutes.

After a super busy 18 odd months that saw as many as 8 films releasing in theatres, Akshay Kumar would be off the screens for some time to come now. Though the actor has already finished two films and is in the process of starting his third, he would be on a mini break of sorts before arriving with a release of his. Holiday, remake of Thuppakki, is his next release and it would be arriving on 1st May. This would be a little over six months since his last release Boss," informs a source. Not that it was planned this way. Initially, the film was supposed to arrive in the month of March. However, with Reliance finding 1st May as the better date for the film's release and deciding to push Holiday ahead by a few weeks, there is a time gap that has come in for next release of Akshay's.

Censor Board, which has currently imposed strict laws for songs and films that may be too titillating for the small screen, has raised an objection over one of the songs of Singh Saab The Great. Recently, a similar issue was faced by Akshay Kumar starrer Boss for their song 'Party All Night' where a few words of the song were considered offensive. Now, Singh Saab The Great is facing similar trouble over its song 'Palang Thod'. Apparently, according to the directive, the song is not suitable for national television viewing. The lyrics of the song go something like, 'Khaike palang tod paan, Tune le li meri jaan, Haari haari main haari, Chal hat beimaan'. It is a special dance number picturised on Sunny Deol, Simran Khan and Prakash Raj. Director of Singh Saab The Great is miffed with the Board's decision since the filmmaker was not allowed to release this...
