Fortunato's Fatal Misfortune Audio Drama Starring Mark Redfield and Chris Pfingsten Based on "The Cask Of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe. Recorded before a live audience at the Baltimore Theatre Project, "FORTUNATO'S FATAL MISFORTUNE" stars Mark Redfield as "Montresor" and Chris Pfingsten as "Fortunato". The play was adapted from Poe's short story "The Cask Of Amontillado" and directed by Tony Tsendeas. Mike Moran created the live sound effects and Dave Crandall created the electronic ambiance. Music by Jennfer Rouse and the audio engineer is Bill Dickson of Drat Productions. Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado" was published in November 1846, in Godey's Lady's Book. The evil, vengeful Montressor leads the inebriated and prideful Fortunato to his doom, walling him up in Montressor's wine cellar and family tomb.
