I love Marilyn Milan. She was my favorite judge on TV when she was on People's Court. Her new show has some interesting cases on it, but she doesn't act like the same, level-headed judge. She seems short tempered and overdramatic at times. Her verdicts are OK still at least, but I really used to like how assertive she was without being insulting. I just don't see that here on the show.
As much as I hate to say this, I wish she would get a contract with Judge Judy's production company instead of the one that she's on right now. What am I saying, I just really wish the People's Court was never canceled.

Really? Really Judge Milian. This is nothing like her other show that everyone loved and was loyal to. I don't know why they canceled it. Please go to another network. Pluto, Netflix, Hulu, anything is better. I don't think she will last on this. And where is Douglas? It's so weird without him. Together they made a team that made the show. I feel really bad for Judge Milian as she can do so much better. I don't know for sure, but this does seem scripted. Where is the old Judge Milian? Please, please don't continue on this platform. If your in a contract I understand, but as soon as it's over, get out.

Judge Milian is okay, though not as "legal" as in The People's Court (she voices a lot more personal experience and opinion than in the previous show). But the litigants are so over the top and the acting so unbelievable that it occasionally makes me laugh out loud. And as others have mentioned, the set looks like it's made of cardboard. It is somewhat entertaining, so I gave it 4 stars. But I still watch the original People's Court reruns, especially those I've not seen before or forgotten about. Hopefully, Ms. Milian will have future opportunities to host a more realistic show and forget about this scripted nonsense.

I'm so disappointed with this show. It is neither educational nor entertaining. It is scripted with very poor actors and by allowing the back and forth exchanges between the "litigants" is ridiculous. That behavior is not acceptable in a real courtroom and cheapens the show. The set is cold and cheap looking as is the sound. Even the closing music is annoying! It is much like fingernails on a blackboard. I have been a dedicated fan of Judge Marilyn Milan since she joined The People's Court. I recorded and watched daily episodes of that program. This show however, I'm not a fan and cannot watch.

I watched The People's Court for at least 15 years. The last episode was incredible. This thing is terrible. Unwatchable. Makes me sad to see Marilyn stooping to this level for a show. I learned so much from the People's Court over the years. Why you sign a contract, how to deal with home improvement projects, getting receipts for things. Real life stuff that isn't taught in school. I got through about 4 episodes of this before I pulled the plug. Completely scripted with actors instead of litigants. Don't even waste your time on it. At least Judy Justice is still real. This thing is pure garbage. Bring back what people want, the REAL People's Court!

I have to agree with everyone else, this new show is horrible. I loved the people's court, and still watch the reruns now. The PC used real people, who had real cases. It was genuine-with some added entertainment. Judge Milian has completely sold out for money. Her new show is so fake, scripted, and the actors are just horrible. The set feels cold, uninteresting and uninviting. If I am not mistaken, I think she shares her set with Judge Mathis, and the newer Judge Ebony. I use to look up to Judge Milian right behind Judge Judy-two judges who took their cases seriously. The new show is produced under Allen Media Group, and it makes me wonder if they think the viewing audience is this stupid.

I wanted to watch Judge Milian's new show and realized about 2 minutes in that this is scripted. I then came here to IMDB and sure enough, it lists the actors!!
First clue: the preamble announcing they don't use actors and these are real cases is gone Second clue: the set Third: the dirty looks from the "litigants" before the hearing started.
My local station airs TPC right after this new show. It allows one to see all the differences between the two show formats. Big difference.
And then I saw that this is a Byron Allen Production. That company produces Judge Mathis, Judge Mablean and the other scripted shows. There must be an audience for this but I'm not it.

I was a huge fan of The People's Court. When Judge Millian was put in this new show Justice for the People, I watched a few episodes and then quit. This is a poor substitute for what Judge Marilyn Millian had on The People's Court. Not only is the content poor, the screen format is awful. I'm really disappointed.
The cases are scripted and unlike The People's Court which had real cases with real litigants. That kept it interesting because it was different every time and unpredictable.
The set feels cheap and the overall production feels so amateurish. It almost feels as if Byron Allen was snubbing his nose at Judge Millian's talent and putting her in a position to have her show fail. He replaced her show with some less-than-spectacular judge shows that I can't even watch.

I absolutely love love LOVE Judge Marilyn Milian. I need to file a civil lawsuit (just haven't gotten around to it yet) and was hoping to have her preside over my case on the People's Court. Out of all the Judges on TV, I can't think of one case she's presided over where I've disagreed with the verdict. In my opinion, she's the most down-to-earth judge/person on the planet - that's how much I think of her. Just now I googled how to appear on the People's Court and found she now has her own show. So now, I googled how to have my case heard by her, and found the episodes are all scripted. Not only am I surprised they're scripted, but extremely disappointed. I'm really hoping she will change this and hear real cases instead of having actors. 😢
Attn: Judge Millian,
I have been a fan of your shows since the beginning.
The new show, Justice for the People, has an introduction story that is too long with unnecessary info and contradictory facts.
When at the question: "Have you cheated," his answer is "Yes," you continue with the word "OK." The conclusion is that cheating is OK???
If you would just consider making that long story short with few words: "Justice with Judge Millian," it will be awesome.
Nothing more, nothing less.
We like you the way you are: Beautiful, Intelligent, Classy, and Charismatic.
May God Bless You and continue with your great job.
Pauline.

I'm a HUGE fan of Judge Milian. Watched her for years on The People's Court and absolutely loved her. She's super smart, knowledgeable, funny, compassionate and utterly entertaining. Like Judge Judy (another fave), she did not brook litigants' nonsense and lies. I loved when she threw the book at liars, fraudsters and idiots. I understand that The People's Court was cancelled, although I don't know why. Nevertheless, I'm very disappointed that Judge Milian has resorted to participating in a *scripted* court show. I presume it's about the money$. Justice for the People is truly awful. It's as if they've muzzled Judge Milian. And the actors/litigants are awful, too. But at least I can still watch the *real* Judge Milian on reruns of The People's Court. It's a thousand times better than this fake courtroom show. SMDH!
Justice for the people judge, Marilyn Milian is definitely not nearly as good as people's court, Peoples court had real litigants and they were not actors. I live in Connecticut where it was filmed & I only live 20 minutes from where it was filmed.
I went to see people score live at least 20 times and it's sad that her new show justice for the people are actors, and I'm really surprised that she agreed to that, considering how they emphasised on peoples court that they were not actors.
I like justice for the people But people's court was superior to her new show & I miss seeing Douglas as well. I got to meet him a couple times and took a picture with him. He is so nice in person.
Judge Milan used to take pictures but at one point when she was taking a picture with somebody, they grabbed her breast.
I found this out from the people that worked at the peoples court because my very first time going to see the taping, I asked the if judge me would take a picture with me, and she explained to me what happened & why the judge will no longer take pics & the girl who explain this to me was so nice and she brought me into the court room before anybody was in there.
She let me take pictures and she took pictures of me standing in front of the bench with the people's court sign, and then she even let me sit in the sat in and take a picture of me behind the bench it was so fun.
I really wish justice for the people with judge Marilyn Milian would go back to using some real litigants, but I still love watching the show.

The show is not transparent about this being scripted with actors. The first times that I watched it something felt off with the way the litigants interact with each other and the dramatic tabloid style "cases" presented, It would be more tolerable if the actors were any good. The production feels amateurish with a cheap looking set and an echo when anyone talks.
This is a huge step down from The People's Court which had real cases with real litigants and was a good teaching tool for basic law. The fact that nothing is mentioned about this being a scripted show is a slap in the face for any of Jude Milian's fans. I expected better from her. There are other far better court programs offered with real litigants and real cases. I will no longer watch.

Not much to say except absolutely dreadful. There's just no point in this new version. Awful!!!!! The way the "litigants" eyeball each other out in the intones excruciatingly embarrassing. Just fake and probably would stand bettter on a kids channel. I just can't believe how bad JFTP is. The introduction in the beginning is also so embarrassingly cringey. Think this has turned into a bad comedy show. Bring back Douglas too. Did try watching a couple of these new episodes but no longer will continue with the torture of watching. If I was ever in trouble then I need to go on to a show like this, I'd get away with murder. Just ditch this show! Get rid and bring back the proper show.

I am so disappointed and sad!!! I have loved Marily Milian on the People's Court. After leading an award winning show, People's Court, Judge Milian has chosen to have actors in place of real litigants in her new show, Justice for the People with Judge Milian. The actors for the most part are terrible. They are overly and unrealisticly dramatic in their portrayals of the litigants.
PLEASE RETURN TO USING ACTUAL LITIGANTS. I used to record all segments of the People's Court. Now I delete the new shows. They are not worth watching. As someone else mentioned, I watch the old shows. They are very enjoyable and entertaining.

So disappointed. I was hoping this would be another People's Court. It's not. Scripted with terrible actors. It is hard to watch. The set is cold and unbelievable. I watched a few episodes before I finally gave up. Can not stand to see a judge, that I've loved watching for many, many years, doing such garbage. I hate these fake shows Judge Milan please leave this embarrassing show. No body is buying into it. Everyone can see that it is beneath you. That is all I have to say about this. I am just continuing so I can have enough characters to be able to leave this review, which is not easy to do. ...

I can't believe Judge Milan would attach her name to this train wreck. Fake cases, bad acting, even her reactions are over the top. A stark example of someone not knowing when to quit. They clearly spared every expense on this show. Cheap set.
Was she so short of cash she needed the income? She seemed like one of the more down to earth people in this genre. It really is baffling that she'd agree to being part of this. Why?
The show is unwatchable. I'll stick to the people's court. At least that had a whiff of being believable. Whatever acting school the acts went to, needs to be shutdown.
As if the show wasn't bad enough, they were already showing reruns the second week it aired. Time to put a fork in this one. To the Judge, you let the audience down. I can't believe you did the. No longer a fan.

I loved the People's Court and Judge Milian. It was my favourite court show and still watch it in reruns.
This new show is sooooo bad!!!! :(
Is she doing it just for the money?
The court room looks like it is made of cardboard, The sound is off maybe because it is filmed in a warehouse. The furniture is cheap and not worthy of being in a court show.
Her personality/attitude is not what it use to be. She appears to be bored and just going thru the motions.
She has no repour with her baliff.
In my opinion this show is scripted.
Will continue to watch reruns but the new show can be taken off air, no one will miss it.

I do not like this show. It is too fake. I don't know why Judge Milian would leave a beautiful wonderful show to go on something so fake. I do not look at it anymore because I cannot stand this fakeness and the other fake shows that are now coming on. It was ridiculous for them to take a nice show and turn it into something awful. I have to have 600 words so I guess I'll just keep going. Please bring back the real judge shows, like Judge, whom i love also. Please bring back the real other shows. Except for Judge Mathis I can't stand that show with his smart mouth anymore thank you I need 34 more words so hopefully these are the words that you need. Why you have to have 600 words I don't know.

Oof. Used to love Judge Millian until she sold her soul for a paycheck. Community theater acting. Painful. I get that The People's Court was cancelled and she needed a new gig....but this???!!! After watching a couple of episodes of this debacle, I had to cleanse my pallet with real court YouTube videos from real judges like Judge Simpson and Judge Boyd.
Our local affiliate plays the commercial for this train wreck ad nauseam which is bordering on Spinal Tap entertainment. I actually feel sad for her but I guess she knew what she was doing.
In the words of my former favorite TV judge, sometimes the cheap comes out expensive.

I absolutely love The People's Court and Judge Milian. I had high hopes for the integrity she says she wanted to carry forward, including some teachable moments and wisdom. Unfortunately, those are probably never going to be heard by those who need to hear them. I googled whether the show used actors in reenactments of cases, and it said they do. The drama and bad acting, in addition to no normal, everyday people being on like The People's Court, it is more than obvious. I'm not only highly disappointed in the show and the cheapness of it, but I'm disappointed Judge Milian would be a part of this hoax. If they are using real cases, they aren't being decided by her. They are already closed cases or they're filed cases where her verdict is meaningless. I won't be watching anymore.

She was the best on People's Court. Seemed genuine, level headed, sassy when needed but not disrespectful. I have completely lost respect for her with this new show. The moment I watched the first case I realized how it was no longer real. It was glaringly fake. I'm sure The People's Court was edited and had moments of fakeness but it never felt that way. And there were real people and real problems. She can't act (and the show shouldn't be fake anyway). The guests are bad actors. It is scripted. It's over the top. Over the top bad. Such a disappointment. Hope she can change course and get back to how it was on The People's court or some similar reiteration. She was my favorite. I cannot watch this.

I honestly loved watching The People's Court and especially liked that they used real cases but this newest fad of these judge shows using fake cases and actors is a shame to me.
I don't know how Milian can be apart of something like this. I couldn't ever foresee her taking on one of these fake shows that pretend to be real. I guess when you reach a certain level of wealth, it's hard to go back so selling out is the option she took. Very disappointed about this. Unfortunately, I won't be watching this even though I still really like Judge Milian.
It's strange how the cast isn't listed in the credits but at least they are listed here.

So excited to see Judge Milian again after I felt it so unjust that People's Court was canceled. I was so excited to see her again on this show, eager to learn more about law and see her judgements. But the show is so incredibly fake, poorly performed by the low-budget actors and Judge Milian appears to have lost her luster because she knows it's fake...no passion, teaching moments or authenticity. The intro to the show is too long and self-promoting in a not-so-authoritative way, so it appears to almost undermine the intentions the show promotes.... I hardly feel educated (as insinuated in the intro) as I'm completely distracted by the feigned emotion and laboriously spatted out dialogue. I'm broken hearted.
