Another Chinese series got me hooked on after watching the first episode. Yes, to be honest, I simply got butterflies in my stomach while watching 'When I Fly Towards You' and that's purely because of the two main leads. Let me tell you all, I was completely in love with them. Though they are both still young, they manage to convince me as an audience with their amazing act here. I honestly believe Zhang Miao Yi (Su Zai Zai) and Zhou Yi Ran (Zhang Lu Rang) will be the next queen and king of great chemistry in the future. Frankly speaking, I have never seen their previous work before, however, after watching this one I strongly recommend you all to watch it as quickly as possible.
Genuinely, I am not really into teen-romance love stories kind of thing. But, 'When I Fly Towards You' hits me differently. The simplicity and purity of the relationship between the two main leads/characters make the series outstanding as well as exceptional. Well, without further ado, I suggest you all to go watch it right away. Thumbs up!! Love it very much!!

Its a very simple, fun and an adorable representation of sweet love and friendships. I loved this cdrama and the onyl reason for the 8/10 is due to my liking for some more action and some form of conflict.
It was super cute and perfect for when you don't wanna watch anything heavy.
Plus, the cinematography, wardrobe and aesthetics of this drama was top tier. They clearly put a lot of thought into how they represented each character.
If you aren't a huge fan of stories without conflict and some sort of drama, this brilliance is unfortunately not for you, BUT don't let that stop you from giving it a try. Perhaps you may actually enjoy something different and light hearted.

When I Fly Towards You manages to capture the fleeting moment in life when possibilities are endless. Back when we say goodbye to childhood and we become young adults going out into the world to expand our understanding as we discover ourselves through others.
On a technical aspect the cdrama is shot digitally but there are snippets filmed with an analog camera, visually making you understand you are being told this story from the POV of someone remembering. This adds a layer of nostalgia. Smart and beautiful to watch.
The acting is what I expect from a youth drama that understands itself: good natured, solid and well-rounded performances of characters growing up as we see them going through different every day experiences involving school, friends, family and love.
Overall, I fully enjoyed this cdrama that features an easy to cheer for characters, with good chemistry, learning about life and themselves. This is why I love youth dramas, they can be a source of joy and energy.

Man oh man did I enjoy this series. Not gonna lie though the first 3/4 episodes almost made me drop the series because the 2nd hand embarrassment was killing me, but boy am I glad I stuck around. This is a feel good type of drama there are no love triangles, no unnecessary misunderstandings, just a beautifully written story about love and friendships. I loooved their friendship, it was so beautiful to watch grow and develop. Normally by the 12th episode I get frustrated when the romantic side of the drama is not progressing fast enough but with this one I did not feel like that because of the friendship they had as a group. I was a bit scared that once they eventually get together the cuteness would dissappear like I felt with HL, but here even after they got together it still felt wholesome and cute. If you're someone that likes drama, I don't think you'll enjoy this one. This is just a simple, wholesome, straightforward and beautifully written story about love, friendship and uplifting one another. Loved it.

I thought 24 episodes of this CDrama were going to be too much but this sweet, uncomplicated but funny love story hit all the right notes and didn't outstay its welcome. Compared to KDramas not much happens, there are no villains, no cheating, no bullying, no awful parents and few disasters at work. Here is modern China, confident, hard working, independent, charming and working towards the goals of young love. Nothing felt forced, shoe horned or fake, I really enjoyed watching these kids grow up and embrace adulthood without endless petty drama.
I laughed out loud so many times watching this and as much as I love KDramas, not many were as clever and amusing as this one. More like this please.

It was such a sweet and cute drama. Really worth watching. This drama was just very smooth and Lovable. Lead actors are very young yet they played a very good role. I was just Zhang Lurang. The way he talks and his cute little smile the way he shows his love towards her it's really lovable. Zhang Lurang, Su Zaizai their names will be remembered for a life tym. Hope they all will be successful in their real lives also. In the final episode I was just cried it was very emotional and also a very happy ending. I miss my good old days. I'll definitely recommend this drama to watch.people will definitely like this drama.

The all main characters got their time in series. The story is about first crush to love, friendship and bond they share with different people. Each bond in series depicts a different aspect of love.
The story is non toxic without any misunderstanding, maximum any misunderstanding last for one and half episode. It's best drama so far.
The series shows perfectly how communication is the key in any relation. The way zaizai pursue the rang with dignity and right way, just love it. The bond between fang and his grandmother is heartwarming. The chemistry shared between gu ran and jia is awesome. The friendship of this group is worth watching..

If you have been weighed down by deep, thought provoking dramas, that swing you from giddy laughter to sobbing at the ceiling, then piece of cotton candy is made for you.
You will get nothing but sweets for all 24 episodes. Even when there is a slight flicker of drama, the writer quickly douses that flame with a milkshake.
The lead actress cries out her love interests name "Rangrang" in the same baby voice from beginning to end. From 16 to adulthood, not a single argument ever. What a perfect love story. It only took them 3 years of her throwing herself at him for them to finally "DATE".
The best part was how when they are already in the type of relationship adults progress to after years of dating, little miss bright eyes still acts like shes14 and kissing a boy under the bleachers....
Anyway. There's no way the male character would like this girl in real life. Good thing its just tv.
Seriously, only watch if want to feel the blandest of emotions :)

I am attempting to review this series - the only problem is there is nothing much to review.
Highschool friends take endless photographs of them having a good time - at amusement arcades - the beach - the aquarium - camping - etc. Zaizai falls for Rangrang - and pursues him relentlessly throughout. Her best friend falls for another student who doesn't return her feelings and is soon gone from the plot. The two female leads seem to share the same amount of screen time which is strange.
The constant bright eyed saccharin smile of ZaiZai got on my nerves - it seemed at times that it had been glued onto her face. There was an attempt at drama with Rang Rang's hateful mother who constantly put him down in favour of his younger brother.
A very brief feminist interaction got the product placement achieved.
There was another feeble attempt at a love rival who desired Rang Rang but it went nowhere.
In fact nothing went anywhere. The kisses - when they eventually turned up were very lack lustre.
The schoolmate Fang - couldn't keep his hands off the other boys - and never ended up with a girlfriend - what we are supposed to make of that I don't know.
This was about 14 episodes too long - and in need of a strong writer. It felt like it was written and directed by a teenager, If you are an adult - be warned.

It is quite uncommon to come across a love story that doesn't have twists and turns, misunderstandings, villains, conniving ex's, and other common tropes. The story was beautiful from the word go, the FL was too pretty and charming, she behaved like a kid at times but I guess it suited her, it was refreshing to see that she did not try to hide her feelings even when the ML was slow to recognise and respond. I had seen the ML in Falling into your smile and liked him there as well. I chose to watch this series because I recognised the ML, but the five friends were all too lovable, I loved their friendship, and I loved that there were no serious love triangles. Apart from their friendship as a group, the individual friendships of the two girls and the three boys was very beautiful. I generally avoid watching high school romances since they don't appeal to me, me being in my forties already, but this one was a very refreshing, swoon worthy and beautiful series. I highly recommend it!!

Great to watch. It is a feel-good love story. I have watched the show countless times and currently re-watching, and every time it leaves me feeling warm and feeling happy. That is how much I loved it. Her persistence, endurance, happiness, and wittiness were infectious. Seeing Lu Rang becoming more expressive in showing emotions and love for her was incredible. Wishing for all teens out there falling in love for the first time to have such an amazing long-lasting relationship. This is what your first love should be like. I agree with the comment(June 30), watch it as soon as you can. Love it!
Love from India 🇮🇳😍😊 What an amazing acting they had portrayed it's not an acting it's they were in live real so that it outcome is really fantabulous. And daily I'm watching this drama I'm addicted to this. The way zhai yiran role performed as Zhang lu rang it's wow 🙀 his acting skills are very natural in this the way he was deeply in love su zai zai n expressed in eyes with cute smile, I really liked it. And miao yi Zhang is also performed really well n also everyone. If I will get a chance to meet them but don't know. And I can say only one thing everyone must watch I thoroughly recommended too if can't u will gonna missed this beautiful drama 💯 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

The plot, reminiscent of a typical Chinese campus drama, brings to mind the once-popular "Love O2O." However, compared to that, the initial episodes (1-9) of this series feel somewhat awkward, making the actors' performances seem forced, as the script initially portrays the female lead as a pure "green tea bitch." From episode ten, the series begins to explore themes of rebellion, the atmosphere of Chinese New Year, and later highlights conflicts arising from the Chinese educational system, such as parents' excessive expectations, early romance, and favoritism among siblings, which are all presented in a refreshingly novel way. The latter part of the series warmly depicts life after graduation, especially the memories of marriage and the male lead's sense of responsibility. The best-written parts of the script are undoubtedly the deeply emotional dialogues, lol.
Director Cat's Tree, starting from micro-films, accurately captures the essence of youth, but it seems influenced by the short dramas popular on KuaiShou in those years, leading to some cringeworthy plot points.
In terms of production, many sound effects feel overly deliberate, such as a particular "what" sound effect, and numerous instances of audio not syncing with the visuals, including awkward guitar strumming scenes. Each episode ends with VFX that use filters reminiscent of 2010s DV cameras, and the narrated sentences at the beginning and end are quite interesting.
The lighting is generally impressive, and the color grading is surprisingly good, maintaining a vibrant campus vibe without resorting to desaturated tones. The series has a unique way of filming trees, capturing their youth and glory impressively. However, there are moments when the lighting feels out of place, such as during a military training night scene where the lighting is so intense that searching for flashlights becomes comical. This scene, like the original work, is quite distinctive (reminiscent of "In the Heat of the Sun").
In summary, didn't overthink the logic in this drama . It's a sweet little series to watch when you're feeling down, and Zhang Miaoyi's infectious smile indeed adds a bit of joy to life.

I started watching this drama because of the hype. In the beginning, it was cute but then it became boring ( the plot was too kiddish: Female lead acts stupid in love and the male lead barely says anything). The whole storyline seemed to be for teens (dumb and lazy), I skipped through most of the episodes from 3-18 but then boom.
From episode 19, it became so sweet, cute, romantic and beautiful. It gave vibes of drama : Hidden Love. As time passes by, they go to college and then jobs. The female lead also acts a little mature. The male lead starts expressing himself fully ( he has an amazing voice) and his dimples are so cute. Unfortunately there are only 24 episodes, so we don't get to see more this mature concept.
I think this would have been a great drama overall if they didn't drag the school kiddish things in the beginning episodes ( the last few episodes were epic).

Adapted from the novel, "She's a Little Crazy", WIFTY is as cute as cute gets. Zhang Miao Yi (Exclusive Fairytale) plays FL Su Zai Zai. She might be alittle crazy, but she's also like sunshine. Crazy, in this case, means an uninhibited, hyper-focused go-getter. She's gonna go get herself Zhang Lu Rang (Zhou Yi Ran from The Legend of Zhuohua, Falling into Your Smile-5.7). He's gloomy and more like the moon, but he likes sunflowers. Lu Rang is good at every subject but English. Languages are a snap for Zai Zai, but she struggles with everything else. They end up tutoring eachother. After you meet Lu Rang's mother, it makes sense that he likes Su Zai Zai.
WIFTY is a 2023 release that is rated a high-flying 9 on MDL. (Romance fans love it, yo). It is 1 season consisting of 24 cuddly 35-minute episodes. They fly by quickly. Jiang Zhi Nan (The Best Day of My Life) as Jiang Jia & Bian Tian Yang (Bright Time, Song of Youth-7.2) as Gu Ran round out the 2ndary couple. They are fun. ("As dumb@$$ he is, he actually didn't fall for my trick. This is so odd. What's more, how does he manage to be so obnoxious?"). Actor, Bian Tian Yang, and his part, are adorable. The director is Mao De Shu (Lovely Us) and the screenwriters are Yue An & Tao Kai Xin who also collaborated on Let's Meet Now.
The original creator is Zhu Yi of the wildly popular show, Hidden Love-7.8. Consequently, WIFTY and HL are very similar. They are both low drama ride-alongs. The viewer hangs out with these simple characters throughout several years of their simple lives, but not much happens. That isn't to say that WIFTY isn't lovely. It is absolutely darling. WIFTY and HL are low on complexity, shade and tension, but they are high on romantic charm and the Prozac effect. They both include likable characters with some growing up to do. They both feature a FL who suffers from an instant crush that lasts for (presumably) a lifetime. Both cover from middle school to first post-grad positions. And both promote relaxation and tranquility. The viewer is unlikely to cry, will probably smile but not laugh, won't experience much angst or frustration, and will feel at peace. There will always be a place for such entertainment. To be fair, I will rewatch a feature that is of sub-standard quality yet it touches the heart before a piece that is intelligent and technically perfect but emotionally flat; but when it comes to rating a show, technical skill and the way it moves the heart are both important. A low degree of difficulty does lower the maximum potential score.
What they do in WIFTY they do well. The music is solid. They play a snippet from Brit rockers, Queen, for a hot 5 seconds. It was amusing and quite unexpected. Before, by Zeyué is Shazam-worthy. The acting is excellent. The protagonists are engaging and there's some great dialogue. Long before they become a couple, our couple works on English prepositions and contrapositions together.
"If I exist, my love for you exists."
"If I don't like you anymore, that I would no longer be me."
It's a sweet scene.
"You don't necessarily have to become the sun. If you're willing to, you could be a star, a street light, or a firefly. They're all capable of shining when they want to shine. When they don't feel like shining they can slack off," we hear in a challenge to shine as brightly as possible,
WIFTY shines as brightly as possible. Su Zai Zai is as unforgettable as she is adorable. While it's unlikely to appeal to anyone who isn't a serious romance fan, the show is simply delightful from one end to the other. If romance is your thing, make sure to exult in its warmth.

A drama that will always make you smile and bring hope in your life. We will think for a second about the good things that are hidden in our life and hope that it will soon become visible.
It made me believe in love again. It showed me that there is still hope in my life with friendship, bravery and happiness.
The actors have a done a good job in making us believe that the story is real and it is really happening in our world right now.
Most dramas will have some point where something unpredictable or disastrous thing happen and force us to pity on the male and female lead. But this drama gives us pure hope by showing everything will work out by believing in the invisible hope that is always present our life.(PS: If only you try to turn on the lights.)

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! I am an EXTREMELY picky rater and yet i give this 10/10. I am someone who dislikes teen/school romances and yet this drama just did it for me. Literally has everything in it. The pacing in it is phenomenal. Its like all my needs were statisfied with this one drama. Everytime I finish watching it.. i cry. BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO LEAVE THE CHARATCERS. Each character is beautifully developed and yes it might be slow but its pure and wholesome and the best kind of love. This review is not eloquent however I hope it conveyed my pure excitement and love for this drama. I need a su zaizai and zhang lurang in my life ASAP. This drama >>>>

No jealousy, no fraud, no controversy, no negativity, only positiveness. What an amazing series it was. It was by far one of the most beautiful series i watched. Loved it. I think, this drama presents only positiveness and it's a lesson for every teen boys and girls about many things. The young actress was by far the most cute character of the drama. Side teen actors just amazing in every single way. Modern teen romcom dramas should idealize this drama and follow this drama's footsteps. Hope to see more dramas like this but i doubt , will there be any like this particular one. Thank you so much for spreading positiveness and love.

It is one of the best C drama's i have watched. I really like the actors and their acting. It was funny and romantic. You wont regret watching this. I wished if they would have started dating soon. They started dating at episode 19 and there is only 24 episode each episode is 30 min. I really like the main lead he was really good and i wished it was little longer. The shooting was good and the story line was also really good. It was a sweet romantic drama if you really like romantic and comedy drama i would really recommend you guys to watch it. If you are watching C drama for the first time make sure to give it a shot it was a really good and heartwarming. DONT MISS OUT.
