- Teacher Julia was sentenced for murdering a student. Upon her release, she tries to get her life back. She remains silent on her case though. Then, inspector Kauth comes across conflicts, lies and secrets which not even Julia knows about.
- Episode 1:Finally free. Julia had to live with an unbearable injustice for five years: the teacher was convicted of the murder of her 16-year-old student Felix, which she supposedly did not commit. But then real proof of her innocence emerges. A shock for Felix's parents, who are convinced of Julia's guilt. Her ex-husband Jan also reacts cautiously: he has built a new life for himself and wants to get married soon. Only her friend Meike, who fought tirelessly for the acquittal, is on Julia's side. Although Julia is bullied by residents of her hometown, she wants to fight for her reputation and her old job as a teacher. Meanwhile, Chief Inspector Kauth reopens the case. Unlike his predecessors, he concentrates on the victim and his environment. He soon comes across inconsistencies: false witness statements in a web of lies, conflicts and secrets. Julia doesn't make it easy for Kauth either: she stubbornly remains silent about what happened between her and Felix.Episode 2:Against all odds, Julia manages to get a job as a teacher at her old school again. She also wants to win back her ex-husband Jan, even though he abandoned her after her arrest. She is not intimidated by his fiancée Katrin or her socially problematic daughter Betty. After years in prison, Julia is relentlessly tough on herself - and others. The 35-year-old wants to start anew and leave everything behind her, including the unsolved murder case that threw her life off track. Meanwhile, Inspector Kauth continues to penetrate the web of lies told by relatives and witnesses about Felix's death. What role did it play that the teenager found out who his biological father was? The investigator increasingly realizes why the devious Puck in Julia's school production of Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream" was a star role for Felix: Felix could be charismatic, but also hurtful and destructive. This increases the circle of murder suspects - but who committed the brutal act?—ADR Das Erste
