As the star of everything from “Swingers” to “Brawl in Cell Block 99,” “Wedding Crashers” to “Freaky,” Vince Vaughn has made an impression on moviegoers that looms even larger than his 6’5” frame. Be it comedy or horror, on the big screen or small, his performances often feel oversized but always exude a lived-in authenticity, which is why so many of them have endured as stand-outs and staples of the genres he’s explored. And yet, when facing an honor commensurate with his impact on the entertainment industry, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Vaughn reacts a bit more like a shrinking violet than you might expect.
“I get shy somewhat with these things,” Vaughn tells Variety. “I was fortunate years ago to be included in a Mann’s Chinese [handprint ceremony] and that was out of nowhere — and very nice as well. But it’s definitely something that is nice...

Netflix subscribers only have until the end of February to watch Harrison Ford’s U.S. president tell Gary Oldman’s terrorist to “get off my plane!”
Wolfgang Petersen’s Air Force One, which also stars Glenn Close, is set to depart the streaming service at the end of the month.
Also leaving on Feb. 28, is Scream 4, less than two weeks before Hayden Panettiere’s Kirby Reed returns to the horror franchise in Scream 6.
And March 1 will see Netflix lose acclaimed indies Sorry to Bother You, written and directed by Boots Riley and starring Lakeith Stanfield as a telemarketer; the Wall Street drama Margin Call; and Jennifer Aniston starrer Cake.
Earlier this month, Netflix will drop the 2015 action rom-com Mr. Right, starring Sam Rockwell as an assassin and Anna Kendrick as the woman who falls for him.
The streamer is also saying goodbye to stand-up specials from Zach Galifianakis and Bert Kreischer.

Minds have been blown across the internet over the last week following a discovery that has been hiding in plain sight for 15 years: Peter Billingsley, the actor behind the iconic role of Ralphie in “A Christmas Story,” also appears in the Christmas movie classic “Elf.” Not only that, but he also appears in the Christmas film “Four Christmases,” starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn.
The discovery went viral after a tweet announced Billingsley’s “Elf” role to the world, which was followed by the viral Buzzfeed article, “I Was Today Years Old When I Realized ‘Ralphie’ Was That Actor In ‘Elf.'” Of course, Billingsley hasn’t been hiding his career and anyone who found themselves on the actor’s Wikipedia page or IMDb page would’ve seen he’s been a presence in numerous Christmas films over the years.
More surprising, Billingsley is listed as an executive producer on “Iron Man,...

Oh no! Sad news to report on Oscar Sunday. Actor Bill Paxton, known for his iconic suppoting roles in James Cameron movies, has died at age 61. Variety and People have confirmed the news, only saying that he has died due to "complication from surgery" (that's all we know). Paxton last appeared in the films Mean Dreams, Term Life, Nightcrawler, and Edge of Tomorrow. He also plays a part in The Circle adaptation, coming out in the next few months. He never received any Oscar nominations. Paxton's family released this statement: "Bill's passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable." This is a tough one, as Paxton still seemed to be working often and was appreciated by many. Bill Paxton was born William Paxton on May 17th, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas. He moved to Los Angeles at age 18, where he...

Jon Favreau is jumping back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe! He will be reprising his role as Happy Hogan from the Iron Man films in Spider-Man: Homecoming! How awesome is that!? I was wondering if we'd ever see Favreau in the role of Happy again, and it's great to know that he's coming back! This is such a pleasant, exciting, and unexpected surprise.
There's no word on how big of a part he will play in the story, but whether it's big or small it will be great to see Favreau back in the McU. We'll continue to keep you updated on any additional information regarding Happy or any other elements from the film as they come in.
Favreau will next be seen on the big screen starring opposite his long time friend Vince Vaughn in the film Term Life.

Peter Billingsly's Term Life opened in U.S. cinemas this past Friday. Vince Vaughan plays Nick Barrow, a guy wanted around town by various hit men who hopes to stay alive long enough for his life insurance policy to kick in and pay out for his estranged daughter. The estranged daughter in question is played by Hailee Stanfield, the plucky young actress who broke out in the Coen brothers’ film True Grit. We thought it would be fun to look back on some of the early films of some of the cast of the film. In some cases we are going back very, very far, before Stanfield was born. Even further in fact. Some of these films you may know, either by reputation or you...

Three new releases hit theaters this weekend as the "official" start of the summer movie season is now just one week away. This year, however, has had more than its share of box office blockbusters ahead of the summer movie season with three films already topping $300 million domestically and a fourth well on its way to doing that same. The fourth film is, of course, Disney's The Jungle Book, which will be unfazed by this week's new offerings as it will maintain the #1 position at the box office for a third straight week in a row. Said new titles vying for a position in the top ten include Warner's comedy Keanu, Open Road's Mother's Day and Gramercy's animated release Ratchet & Clank. Meanwhile, Captain America: Civil War began its international debut just yesterday and is off to a great start, banking $14.9 million from 15 territories, just behind the performance of Avengers: Age of Ultron last year.

Vince Vaughn is continuing to try and move hard away from the comedy work that has been the bread and butter of his career. He takes out a life insurance policy on himself with his daughter as the beneficiary, just in case, while being forced to take his daughter on the run, and keeping them both alive, until the insurance policy becomes active in 3 weeks. When I first saw this trailer for Term Life, I wondered why Vince Vaughn would star in something like this. Then I saw it was directed by Peter Billingsley (Couples Retreat), a long-time friend of Vaughn's (who also happens to be the kid from A Christmas Story). So I guess that explains that.
Term Life actually has a terrific cast that includes Vaughn, Hailee Steinfeld, Bill Paxton, Terrence Howard, Shea Whigham, Mike Epps, Taraji P. Hensen, and Jon Favreau, but this looks like one of those direct-to-dvd movies that used to litter the shelves of Blockbuster Video, something you'd stumble across and say, "Wait, Those people are in This?"
The movie hits theaters on April 8th, but is going to be available on VOD starting March 1st.

Term Life follows a heist man (Vince Vaughn) who goes on the run with his daughter (America’s sweetheart Hailee Steinfeld) after a job goes sour. Also, he takes out a massive life insurance policy on himself and has to stay alive until it kicks in — this doesn't come up in the trailer, but it seems like a crucial part of the film’s synopsis. Breaking Bad’s Jonathan Banks, Vince Vaughn’s buddy Jon Favreau, and Terrence Howard (yes, really) also appear.

"No one can connect us to any of this." Focus World has unveiled a trailer for the film Term Life, a crime drama starring Vince Vaughn as a man being hunted by hitmen trying to extended his life in hopes that his insurance policy will kick in just in time to pay out to his estranged daughter. Hailee Steinfeld co-stars as his daughter, and the cast features Taraji P. Henson, Jon Favreau (in some kind of role), Terrence Howard, Annabeth Gish, Bill Paxton, Mike Epps and Jordi Mollà. True Detective season 2 may have stooped far below the bar of expectations set by its predecessor, but Vince Vaughn has still caught the action-thriller bug, as today’s thrilling first trailer for Peter Billingsley’s (Couples Retreat) Term Life attests.
While Vaughn headlines the drama as Nick Barrow, Pitch Perfect 2 and True Grit actress Hailee Steinfeld is on board to complete the father-daughter duo. Term Life will push the pair to the brink, too, given that Vaughn’s character, upon receiving umpteen threats against his life, takes out a comprehensive life insurance policy to carve out a healthy sum to leave to his estranged daughter.
There’s a hitch to that plan, though; said policy doesn’t take into affect for a full 21 days, forcing Nick and his daughter to become fugitives for three weeks in order to shake that looming price on his head. It’s all very ridiculous and over-the-top,...

If there's anything worse than being chased by a drug lord, it might be going on the lam with your petulant teenage daughter.
In this trailer for "Term Life," that's what Vince Vaughn has to do when a heist goes terribly wrong. He plays Nick, a thief who's framed for murdering the son of a cartel boss. Nick wants to take financial care of his estranged daughter (Hailee Steinfeld), so he takes out a life insurance policy. All he has to do is survive for 21 days, so father and unwilling daughter go on the run.
It's a bit of a convoluted premise, and the trailer is a bit scattered, veering from a heist movie to an action thriller to a buddy road flick. Still, Vaughn delivers his lines with a snap, and the cast also boasts Jonathan Banks, Bill Paxton, and Jon Favreau.

Last summer, Vince Vaughn showed off his "serious" acting chops, brooding through the second season of "True Detective." If True Detective was Vince Vaughn‘s return to drama, the actor is now testing his action-thriller skills with a new film this spring, Term Life. Teaming with True Grit‘s Hailee Steinfeld, the film follows the two as a father-daughter duo who go on the run, with Vaughn’s wanted character having to live for at least 21 days in order to take out a life insurance policy for his daughter.

Henson, Annabeth Gish, Terrence Howard, and Cain Velasquez, check out the trailer and poster below.

Although primarily known for his comedic roles over the last two decades, Vince Vaughn has experienced a long career that has spanned numerous genres. He has done comedy, action, and even horror . but the less we say about Gus Van Sant.s Psycho the better. Despite having such a diverse resume, he has never really been known to change his appearance too much for a movie . until now. The first images from his new film, Term Life, have just been made available to us, and there.s something we really need to sit down and discuss. Check out the poster below. As you can see, the poster features Vaughn, accompanied by co-star Hailee Steinfeld, brandishing a gun against a dreary, neo-noir urban landscape. As he heads towards True Detective season 2, it may be that the age of the weak Vince Vaughn comedy is at an end...
Vince Vaughn may finally get his career back on track later this month, as he takes one of the lead roles in True Detective season 2. It'll hopefully end a chapter that's seen him head to comedy movie jail with Adam Sandler. In Vaughn's case, his box office has dwindled at a faster rate.
With his latest movie, Unfinished Business, attracting some of the stinkiest reviews of the year, it seems that the message has got through to Vaughn. After all, he's a man not without talent, and chatting to GQ he's admitted that he's been making "assembly-line" comedies.

Expect to see a lot of premature eulogies for Vince Vaughn's career today, after the disastrous opening of "Unfinished Business," just like you saw a lot of premature obituaries last week for Will Smith's career after the lackluster debut of "Focus."
True, "Business" was an especially spectacular flop, premiering in 10th place with only an estimated $4.8 million, less than half of the already modest $10 million pundits were predicting. That the movie is only the latest in a string of Vaughn flops (including "The Watch," "The Dilemma," "The Internship," and "Delivery Man") seems reason enough for pundits to start measuring the coffin.

First it was Jennifer Lawrence, then Shailene Woodley. Now it seems like another up-and-coming actress is set to join the world of young adult adaptations with the latest movie, Carrie Pilby.
Hailee Steinfeld, known for her Oscar-nominated turn in True Grit, is set to star in the adaptation of the popular book. The book centers on a 19-year-old wunderkind who has just graduated from Harvard and isn’t sure what to do with her life. Written by Caren Lissner, the coming-of-age novel finds Carrie attempting new things and searching for her place in a scary world with the aid of her therapist.
Steinfeld is the first cast member on the project with first-timer director Susan Johnson helming the film and Kara Holden writing the script.

It’s been a slow post-Oscar star for Hailee Steinfeld and writer-producer-director Dustin Lance Black. Not disastrous, but not the typical rise to prominence and slew of work that comes with the Academy Award touch. Steinfeld earned a nomination in 2011 for her work on the Coen Bros’ “True Grit.” Two years earlier, Black won a Best Original Screenplay Oscar for “Milk.” Since then, neither have tackled material that’s brought them back into the awards conversation. Their next project may not have the bravado to take them back to the ceremony, but it sounds like a step in the right direction. According to Deadline’s report out of the American Film Market in Santa Monica, Steinfeld is on board to star in Black’s adaptation of “The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight,” a young adult novel by Jennifer E. Smith. The film follows a whirlwind romance set in...

It has now emerged that he’s attached to Sony’s The Politician.Goon/What If director Michael Dowse is aboard to direct the film, which Seth Rogen is producing alongside Evan Goldberg. The script comes courtesy of Matthew Bass and Theodore Bressman, who cooked up the concept of a Washington, D.C. politician caught in a prostitution scandal.Nothing really new there, you might think, but the situation soon worsens when the dodgy politico and his less-than-competent cohort go on the run from drug dealers, the FBI and U.S. Marshals.Vaughn next has travel comedy Unfinished Business set to arrive, with a UK release date of March 6 next year. Matthew McConaughey turned his career around in epic fashion, going from leading forgettable rom-coms to starring in a series of excellent dramas. His McConaissance was made complete this year with the one-two punch of an Oscar win for Dallas Buyers Club and an Emmy nomination for his lead role in HBO’s game-changing True Detective. One of the aspects of the latter series that was so widely admired was its success in handing McConaughey an extremely complex and fascinating character to work with.

As "True Detective" season two comes together, the rumors have been flying back and forth. Last month we learned that Colin Farrell was in talks for one of the lead roles, with Taylor Kitsch and Garrett Hedlund up for key parts. But today, coming completely out of left field, comes news that would've left Rust Cohle blindsided. TVLine reports that Vince Vaughn —yes, the funnyman from "Wedding Crashers," "Swingers" and "Old School"— is in preliminary talks for a role in HBO's neo-noir drama. Now, before you say Wtf and Lolwut, you should note that Vaughn's recent movements behind the scenes makes this news not entirely surprising. While "Business Or Pleasure" –the kind of comedy you expect from Vaughn— is on the way, Vaughn has also wrapped on the crime drama "Term Life" co-starring Hailee Steinfeld. And at one point a year ago, he had been lining up several non-comedic projects including the.
