Miss Night and Day is a terrific K-drama that balances comedy, drama, and a few thriller elements on one big weekend platter. The end of episode 4 certainly had me gasping and desperate for the next episode. Netflix sure knows what it’s doing when it comes to weekend K-dramas. After Doctor Slump and The Atypical Family, I have apparently become glued to my screen come Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Miss Night and Day has got to be the funniest of the lot, though. While Doctor Slump was hilarious too, it was a darker show overall, but for the moment, Miss Night and Day seems to mostly be giving us fun rather than anything emotional as of now. However, mark my words, I know this one’s going to be a tearjerker somewhere down the line. For now, though, let’s quickly dive into the major plot points of episode...

After bringing the Resident Evil 4 remake to Apple and iOS devices earlier this year, Capcom has now turned their attention to doing the same with Resident Evil 7 and the Resident Evil 2 remake. Resident Evil 7 will arrive on the App Store on July 2, 2024 for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and every iPad and Mac with the M1 chip or later, while Resident Evil 2 is still being developed.
Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 2 will provide “console quality experiences” running natively on Apple devices, utilizing Apple’s MetalFX Upscaling technology to “deliver impressive visuals and remarkable performance on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.”
Much like what Capcom did with RE4, players will be able to try a portion of each game at launch with a free download before accessing the full experience with a single purchase. Both titles will also offer Universal Purchase and cross progression between iPhone, iPad, and Mac,...

I’ve got to admit that The Atypical Family‘s ending episode is quite a healing escape. Despite the high-stakes situation, I found the episode quite soothing, and we get to see both Gwi-Ju and Da-Hae’s families enjoying themselves for once rather than being at each other’s throats or worse. The show tells the story of a family with superpowers that have lost their special powers thanks to the problems of modern life—the collateral damage of living in the present world, I suppose. One day, a woman enters their lives and changes them for the better. For Da-Hae, too, this is a unique experience, one that makes her realize that life isn’t what she thought it was supposed to be. The series takes us on a rollercoaster of a journey that delivers many emotional blows. However, the final episode might be the most poignant of them all,...

Episode 11 of The Atypical Family is the happiest of the show thus far. While I was a bit skeptical at the beginning of the series, it’s slowly grown on me, and I’ve looked forward to watching it every weekend. The penultimate episode feels most like The Time Traveler’s Wife, in my opinion. This whole time, I’ve been finding the show’s premise quite odd, but now that I’ve made this little connection, it suddenly makes much more sense. The series has been steadily moving towards the fast-approaching death of Gwi-Ju, but by now, we all know that it’s most likely that Da-Hae will most definitely end up saving him. With that said, episode 11 is a new beginning for savior Da-Hae, who also helps the whole family regain their powers and find happiness again. So, let’s quickly dive into The Atypical Family episode 11.

The Atypical Family episode 10, is a rollercoaster of emotions and it feels like it gave me whiplash as it goes back and forth in time. The episode, which is, a little over one hour looks rather different from the rest which are more warm-toned. I suppose we’re coming up on bad news, so the creators really want to make the show feel gloomy and sad before we’re attacked with the really sad stuff (I personally find the color grading a bit much). I’m not sure if the series is going to have a happy ending, though if it were a few years ago, I suppose there would be a definitive answer: “Nobody dies; everybody’s happy.” However, lately, K-dramas have been giving us unexpected endings that are somewhat painful to digest (most infamously 25–21). However, with all that said, Mrs. Bok’s premonitions have been wrong before, so...

With only four episodes remaining in The Atypical Family, the drama is getting super intense. The show that started off a bit slow has slowly made its way into my heart thanks to its low-key family moments amidst the fantastical and mysterious background. The Atypical Family tells the story of the Bok family, who have superpowers that have died down thanks to modern life problems such as depression and obesity. When Da-Hae, a young woman, comes into their lives, everything starts to change, and it seems like there’s hope for the Bok family to get their powers back. In episode 9, we get an emotional rollercoaster involving Gwi-Ju and his daughter, I-Na. We finally learn some important details about what really happened when I-Na’s mother died after that massive car accident. Let’s quickly recap The Atypical Family episode 9.

The Atypical Family episode 7 feels like the 13th episode of a full-length show. You know, when everything goes well before some sort of misunderstanding tests the leading couple one last time before they confess their undying love for each other, and we’re left happy forever. Episode 7 takes off after Da-Hae confesses she’s a con artist to the whole family. In this episode, we get to see Gwi-Ju finally behave like a responsible dad to In-a and also a lover boy to Da-Hae. However, his transformation from depressed skeptic to excitable lover boy did leave me a bit confused because of how fast things changed. On the other hand, I can’t say the same about Dong-Hee’s weight loss because it looks shockingly realistic. Anyway, with all that said, let’s dive into episode 7 of The Atypical Family.

There’s no secret in fact that the South Korean TV industry is getting more and more popular with each passing day. And frankly, we are getting tired of counting just how many perfect shows there are already created, because when we think “nothing can top this one” the next K-drama ends up dethroning whatever masterpiece there was before.
May is not an exception and is full of premiers on different streaming platforms. For example, on May 4 Netflix subscribers got the chance to see the new fantasy K-drama called The Atypical Family created by Kang Eun Kyung.
Only two episodes of the series have been released for now but it seems that the drama is already becoming everybody’s sweetheart. The show is already in Netflix’s Global Chart on #10, and there are many reasons for that. For example, the audience was happy to hear Chun Woo Hee and Jang Ki Yong...

As summer approaches (for the Northern Hemisphere at least), Netflix is set to premiere a fresh season of one of its biggest hits.
Brigerton season 3 is set to arrive on May 16 and will debut a “new crop of debutantes” into the regency drama fray. Other original series of note this month include Indian drama Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar (May 1), the Jeff Daniels-starring A Man in Full (May 2), and intriguing Korean title The 8 Show (May 17). Of course, Netflix is also rolling out a suite of true crime docs and docuseries as well. Chief among those options is Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal on May 15.
It’s the movie side of things where Netflix is feeling particularly lively though. May 3 sees the arrival of Jerry Seinfeld Pop Tart comedy Unfrosted. That will be followed by rom-com Mother of the Bride (May 9) and the Jennifer Lopez-starring Atlas (May 24).
