Wish there was more Romanian...
It was a cheesy but cute film. I was really hoping that there would have been more traditional Romanian things than just making some dresses and the small amount of spoken Romanian. According to the credits it was filmed partly in Sighisoara, in central Transylvania. (and set in that region) I live in Sibiu, which is a larger culture city in central Transylvania and even here English is not widely spoken, especially by the elderly population. It's even less believable they speak fluent English on farms and in the markets in a smaller town like Sighisoara. I wish they would have had them speak more Romanian and use subtitles. It was annoying to me that as a Romanian who could "understand" what her grandfather was saying in Romanian, she never responded to him except to say "Da." (Yes) Also, I haven't found fish and chips at a restaurant here yet. 😂

Cute feel good movie!
This is a really enjoyable movie, along the lines of a Hallmark type movie. There was some cheesy parts, but good acting and a nice ending!

Transylvanian views and NY success
So nice to see this blend of Transylvanian views with NY perspectives, young Romanian actors with Jane Seymour. Great movie, even comparing to a Hallmark production, would have loved if they spoke more Romanian, especially in the family and with the locals. Hoping for a next one, filmed in this beautiful land, with less stereotypes or going for the extremes. A great film debut for Giulia, Toto; good acting from Manuela, Ela;

starting over
Danielle ( Giulia Nahmany ) is a romanian working in new york city, and just loving her life. But when her mover- shaker boss Vivien (Jane Seymour) lets a coworker present Danielle's idea, she takes a stand. And is now out of work. Sound familiar ? Some similarities to Devil Wears Prada. And eight years later. When Danielle returns home, her mother, and all the neighbors want to help. When she almost runs down a british guy, a romance blossoms. And her family and friends are more help than she ever thought they would be in getting her back on her feet. It's cute. Simple.. nothing too crazy, but its good. Story by Giulia Nahmany. Directed by Michael Damian. Showing on roku channel.
Bad acting
Honestly I was with really high hopes for this movie but the problem here is the bad acting of pretty much the entire cast. So disappointed
I don't recommend at all

Enjoyable Movie!
I really enjoyed this movie! For me, it rates right up there with the best Hallmark movies. It is a lovely story about romance, family, and friendship. I loved seeing the beautiful scenes in Romania. It brought back memories of my visit there and made me want to return. There are plenty of Romanian actors and the beautiful Romanian language was used as well. I loved how authentic it was. I enjoyed the fact that the females in the movie are strong, independent women, yet feminine. Casting Jane Seymour into the movie was a big plus too. Most actors here are unknown, but they did a fair job of acting with room for improvement. I think this was Guila's first movie production.... I hope to see more from her! I would have rated it a ten, but it was rather predictable, though not much more than most Hallmark movies.

From New York to Romania
The contrast between the cosmopolitan stresses of New York City to the idyllic countryside of Romania was refreshing. Someone referred to Jane Seymore as a dried up old prune that brought nothing, her character was bitter & twisted, I've always enjoyed her roles. Good to see do something out of usual type casts roles. Enjoyable to watch with nothing negative to say.

enjoyable movies like this.Fun and entertaining movie
This movie was fantastic. The production the script, the story, the acting, and the cinematography work all outstanding. We need more enjoyable movies like this. I look for more work from this actor and scriptwriter because it was truly outstanding and remarkable. This is the type of movie that we should have more of not less. Jane Seymour and the entire cast were magnificent. I am so proud of this team that produced this movie. I sincerely hope they make more movies.. I suggest if you want a scenic movie with a great plot twist and outstanding actors, you take a look at this movie. You wil not be disappointed.

Very good movie !
This is a very good movie - it contains romance, humor, glimpses into the fashion world and beautiful views of Romania. The lead actress was wonderful - and the supporting cast did a great job as well. My husband and I watched this movie with my elderly parents - so nice to not worry about hearing bad language or seeing explicit sexual situations. I highly recommend this movie !
Oh, and I even heard my husband laugh a time or two while watching :)

Unexpectedly authentic! I loved it!
Yes, I am from Romania, and I expected much less authenticity. I was quite impressed. This is the Romanian village, this is the way families are in Romania, this is the beauty and originality of traditional Romanian clothes. Anyone that says it's bad acting doesn't know anything about how Romanians are. I loved it!
I loved the way they integrated the Romanian language in the movie. Of course, most villagers in Saschiz, where this was filmed, don't speak' English, so it was nice to see that their parts were played by Romanians, not some native English speakers who would have had English accents, and who wouldn't have been able to create the authentic atmosphere.
Yes, it's a romantic comedy, but it's so touching and simple, you simply have to enjoy it.
If you expect Oscar winning movies, look elsewhere If you want to see something that makes you feel good and takes you away from your worries, this is it!

Really fun movie
solid except for seymour
Old and dried up prune jane seymour added nothing to this film but old age and stupidity... except for seymour, the rest was pretty damn good ... even the dumb brit guy ... the scenes shot in romania were charming and beautiful ... beats nyc by a ton...give the rewards to giulia nahmany because she earned them

Nice!
Coffee shop setting and storyline are perfect for this contentious romantic drama. Supportive community surrounding lead character is endearing!

Cute story with beautiful Romanian landscapes
I will categorise this as a cute movie for a chill evening after a work day, when you just want to relax on the couch and watch something not so complex. The plot is quite predictable but it's fun to watch (my husband really got caught up in it). Loved the fact that it was authentic by using Romanian actors which were super charismatic and fun (loved the olive&pickles couple), plus it was refreshing to hear Romanian language. Also last but not least, the Transylvanian landscapes are just a sight for sore eyes.
For sure the next stories written by Giulia Nahmany will be even better! Keep up the good work!
