R&B singer Ginuwine's first appearance in the film is dancing to the song "Pony", a song he sung in real life.
This film is meant to be a black version of Magic Mike (2012) according to director Jean-Claude La Marre. He did enjoy the film but felt that one thing that was missing was diversity in the male strippers, noting that not a single black man was there. This film was his answer to that.
