With only a few days left until the season finale, “The Bachelor” has a lot of explaining to do.

Last week’s “fantasy suite” episode — when the couples get to spend an overnight date together for the first time with no cameras around — ended with a bang.

With the final three women left vying for Clayton Echard’s heart, ABC’s leading man told each of the women that he was in love with them. What’s old is new again in Bachelor Nation. The “Bachelor” franchise’s retrospective series “The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!” will take a trip down memory lane to relive some of the most memorable, craziest and dramatic installments of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” ever.

Hosted by Chris Harrison, the 10-episode series, which premiered on June 8, condenses season highlights into three-hour episodes, along with never-before-seen footage and virtual interviews with stars.

ABC has revealed the entire lineup. The show has a two-week break on Aug. 17 and Aug. 24 for the Democratic National Convention and the Republican National Convention, respectively.

Matt James was revealed to be the new “Bachelor” on Friday morning, making him the long-running ABC franchise’s first black male lead.

But even fans who have seen every episode of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” may not be familiar with who James is.

He’s new to the franchise, and unlike most Bachelors, he has never competed on a season of “The Bachelorette.” He came pretty close with Clare Crawley’s season, on which he was meant to compete in May, but it was postponed due to the coronavirus.

Fans may know him from his Instagram, however, where he already had a large following before he was cast and has since shot up to 272,000 followers — or from following Tyler Cameron, his best friend and star of Hannah Brown’s season of “The Bachelorette.

Each episode of this new summer series will follow past Bachelors and Bachelorettes on their journeys to find love, giving audiences a chance to revisit the first-ever rose ceremony and be reintroduced to some of Bachelor Nation’s unforgettable men and women.

ABC has revealed the first three seasons that its upcoming highlight show “The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!” will cover.

Sean Lowe (“The Bachelor” season 17 from 2013), Kaitlyn Bristowe (“The Bachelorette” season 11 from 2015) and Ben Higgins (“The Bachelor” season 20 from 2016) will be the first three to have their seasons picked apart in a three-hour special.

The series, which was originally titled “The Bachelor: The Most Unforgettable – Ever!,” was exclusively reported on by Variety in April and is set to debut with the Sean Lowe episode on June 8. Each episode will follow past Bachelors and Bachelorettes on their journeys to find love, giving audiences a chance to revisit the first-ever rose ceremony, watch rarely seen outtakes, and be reintroduced to some of Bachelor Nation’s unforgettable men and women.

In his new memoir, “The First Time,” excerpted by “People,” Underwood — who’s been self-isolating and convalescing at Randolph’s parents’ house after his coronavirus diagnosis — reveals that the pair split last August, five months after the Season 23 finale.

“To put it very frank, after the show, we realized we weren’t communicating as well as we once did,” he writes. “Nobody was forcing us to talk about real things going on, so we let a lot of things build up.”

He adds: “In a weird way, I kind of broke up with myself. I was like, I feel like we need to figure this out and in order to do that, we need space. She agreed. So it was a mutual thing.

Since its 2002 premiere, “The Bachelor” has given love, tears, wine, a bunch of spin-offs, and lots and lots of drama to Bachelor Nation. But for the titular Bachelors and the ladies vying for their hearts, most haven’t had a happily ever after. The show has only resulted in three marriages so far, with most relationships only lasting a few months.

And those three come with an asterisk because for two of them, they wed their runners-up, not the women they chose and proposed to initially. So yeah, that means, only one Bachelor wed the woman he picked on the show.

Then there’s the time that Brad Womack pulled a Kelly Taylor and picked neither of his finalists on Season 11. The only two-time Bachelor, he returned in Season 15 and did make a choice that time, but alas, it did not last.

As it turns out, Pete has something in common with his predecessor, last year's Bachelor, Colton Underwood: they both are among the youngest Bachelors in recent years.

According to his official Bachelorette bio, Pete was 27 years old when he was cast on The Bachelorette and is from Westlake Village, CA. He's on the younger side for recent Bachelors, like his immediate predecessor Colton, who was only 26 when he starred in the Spring 2019 season. Prior to that, the previous seasons featured former Bachelorette contestant Arie Luyendyk, who was 37 when he starred in the 2018 cycle, and franchise veteran Nick Viall, who was also 37 during his 2017 season.
