It wouldn’t be a season of “Dancing with the Stars” without someone from the “Bachelor” extended universe competing on the dance floor. But this year we’ve got two. And in interesting turn of events, a bachelor who was looking for love will be pitted against one of the women he rejected during his season. Awkward. History indicates, however, that she’ll probably have a leg up.
In the last season of “The Bachelor,” Joey Graziadei chose a future bride from a group of 32 women. Jenn Tran was one of those women. She advanced to week seven of the romantic contest, but was eliminated along with Kelsey Toussant. Graziadei ended up choosing Kelsey Anderson at the end of the season. But Tran got another chance at love when she was selected as the next “Bachelorette.” She ended up with Devin Strader. However, during the live finale that aired September...

After the premiere episode of The Bachelorette, critics are coming out in droves over Jenn Tran’s approach to finding love. Unlike many Bachelors and Bachelorettes, Jenn was more conservative with how many kisses were doled out on the first night. However, she is getting slammed for her first kiss, but why?
Jenn Tran Is Making Her Mark
With the kick-off of The Bachelorette Season 21, some people think it is doomed from the get-go. Many fans were upset by Jenn Tran receiving the spot over some of the other ladies from the last Bachelor with Joey Graziadei. But Jenn has a lot going for her as she enters her love-finding journey and she isn’t letting a little doubt stand in her way. Markedly, she is the first Asian American Bachelorette, which is a beautiful thing just on its own. Likewise, some of the Bachelor Nation is rooting for one...

We’ve reached the end of another season of The Bachelor — but did we actually get a happy ending this time?
It’s been a rough few years for Bachelors: Clayton got rejected by Susie at his final rose ceremony (they later reunited and then broke up for good); Matt split up with Rachael after a firestorm of controversy linked to photos of her at an antebellum party, although they’re currently still dating; and Peter ditched Hannah Ann to try things with Madison, and that didn’t work out, either. And Colton? Well, let’s just pretend that never happened.

Typically as one Bachelor (or in this case the Bachelorette) show finishes up, the next lead is announced during the finale of the show.
As fans watch and see if Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia find love and leave their journey engaged on the finale and After the Final Rose segment in a couple of weeks, viewers will also be waiting for another announcement.
As this season of The Bachelorette had many great men who could very easily be The Bachelor’s next leading man, nothing has yet been leaked.

Ethan Kang has been talked about a lot lately, ever since he spoke his mind about Tino Franco’s behavior after he didn’t get a group date rose.
Now he has sparked Bachelor Nation discussion once again, but for a different reason.
Not only was Ethan shirtless with his ear against a wall as he heard knocking from the other side, but then the camera switched over to who was knocking on the other side.
Fans watched as Nate Mitchell then came onto the screen, also shirtless, and the caption read “Come on this journey with me.”
After seeing the video, fans have begun more speculation within Bachelor Nation about these two men becoming the next Bachelors.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead, if you are not up-to-date with Clayton Echard’s season of “The Bachelor.”
With only a few days left until the season finale, “The Bachelor” has a lot of explaining to do.
Last week’s “fantasy suite” episode — when the couples get to spend an overnight date together for the first time with no cameras around — ended with a bang.
With the final three women left vying for Clayton Echard’s heart, ABC’s leading man told each of the women that he was in love with them. Susie Evans, Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia all expressed their love to Echard, who admitted he’d had sex with both Windey and Recchia. But when Evans gave him an unexpected ultimatum that she couldn’t stay if he had slept with another woman, Echard was caught completely off guard — Evans went home, and Twitter was up in arms.

Ben Higgins's season of The Bachelor, which aired in 2016, solidified him as a fan favorite among Bachelor nation. His generosity, kindness, and authentic approach to love captured viewers attention, and, let's admit it: their hearts, too. So much so, that Ben is still heavily involved with the franchise today - hosting The Bachelor Live on Stage tour (pre-covid), discussing episode recaps on his podcast with Ashley Iaconetti called Almost Famous, and making the occasional appearance on The Bachelor itself. However, Ben's got a lot more going on than just The Bachelor; he's engaged and planning a wedding with Jess Clarke, owns his own coffee company called Generous, and has a brand new book called Alone in Plain Sight.
It's needless to say that Ben keeps busy, and as part of his partnership with Campo Viejo to celebrate Galentine's Day (enter the sweepstakes here to win a personalized video from Ben himself!

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched the Nov. 5 episode of “The Bachelorette.”
On the heels of last week’s episode, no one was happy in “The Bachelorette” bubble. The contestants hosted a group roast and titular Bachelorette Clare Crawley responded by interrogating each contestant about frontrunner Dale Moss. She ultimately did not give out a group date rose.
The men started to revolt, all feeling “discouraged” after the interaction. Even host Chris Harrison noticed, and confronted Clare about the situation.
“The path we’re on right now… we can’t continue,” he told her. “These are good guys and they’re not dumb — they know what’s going on.”
Clare began to articulate her commitment to Dale, even admitting that she reviewed his social media presence before the show taped — but swore that they never interacted via text or direct message. Throughout the conversation, it...

Matt James was revealed to be the new “Bachelor” on Friday morning, making him the long-running ABC franchise’s first black male lead.
But even fans who have seen every episode of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” may not be familiar with who James is.
He’s new to the franchise, and unlike most Bachelors, he has never competed on a season of “The Bachelorette.” He came pretty close with Clare Crawley’s season, on which he was meant to compete in May, but it was postponed due to the coronavirus.

Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph are one of just two final couples from “The Bachelor” who are still together — but that wasn’t the case for an incredibly short time last year.
In his new memoir, “The First Time,” excerpted by “People,” Underwood — who’s been self-isolating and convalescing at Randolph’s parents’ house after his coronavirus diagnosis — reveals that the pair split last August, five months after the Season 23 finale.
“To put it very frank, after the show, we realized we weren’t communicating as well as we once did,” he writes. “Nobody was forcing us to talk about real things going on, so we let a lot of things build up.”
He adds: “In a weird way, I kind of broke up with myself. I was like, I feel like we need to figure this out and in order to do that, we need space. She agreed. So it was a mutual thing.

Since its 2002 premiere, “The Bachelor” has given love, tears, wine, a bunch of spin-offs, and lots and lots of drama to Bachelor Nation. But for the titular Bachelors and the ladies vying for their hearts, most haven’t had a happily ever after. The show has only resulted in three marriages so far, with most relationships only lasting a few months.
And those three come with an asterisk because for two of them, they wed their runners-up, not the women they chose and proposed to initially. So yeah, that means, only one Bachelor wed the woman he picked on the show.
Then there’s the time that Brad Womack pulled a Kelly Taylor and picked neither of his finalists on Season 11. The only two-time Bachelor, he returned in Season 15 and did make a choice that time, but alas, it did not last.

This week the new “Bachelor” season kicked off — but it disrupted the usual parade of limos, as well as the season-specific aviation innuendo (titular Bachelor Peter Weber is a pilot) to bring back an old flame. In a surprise move ex-Bachelorette Hannah Brown returned not once, but twice for the season premiere to throw and emotional wrench into Weber’s first few days of filming.
Will Pilot Pete get the happy ending Bachelor Nation thinks he richly deserves?
Here, Variety talks to host Chris Harrison about the return of Brown, but also the status of behemoth of a franchise, the recent decisions to be more inclusive and include the Lgbtq couple Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty (who have sense split), and the sex positive spin the last season spurred.
Did it take much convincing to get Peter back?
No, he had the normal amount of skepticism and being leery of...

With The Bachelorette fave "Pilot Pete" Weber taking over as the latest Bachelor, we've got plenty of questions. How old is he, for one thing? As it turns out, Pete has something in common with his predecessor, last year's Bachelor, Colton Underwood: they both are among the youngest Bachelors in recent years.
According to his official Bachelorette bio, Pete was 27 years old when he was cast on The Bachelorette and is from Westlake Village, CA. He's on the younger side for recent Bachelors, like his immediate predecessor Colton, who was only 26 when he starred in the Spring 2019 season. Prior to that, the previous seasons featured former Bachelorette contestant Arie Luyendyk, who was 37 when he starred in the 2018 cycle, and franchise veteran Nick Viall, who was also 37 during his 2017 season. Only one other recent Bachelor was the same age or younger: Ben Higgins, who was 26 during season 20.

Former The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe fully endorses the choice of Hannah Brown to follow in her footsteps...and speaking of which, she has some choice words for people who don't. Earlier this week, ABC announced that 24-year-old Hannah, Miss Alabama USA 2018 who had competed on the recent 23rd season of The Bachelor, will be the star of the upcoming 15th season of The Bachelorette. "This world that we live in, of Bachelors, Bachelorettes, it's always, your 'All-American Hero,' your 'All-American Sweetheart,' the 'Girl Next Door.' It's always like, the same cookie-cutter. Hannah B, to me, is deprecating," Kaitlyn, the star of season 11 of The...

Some love stories are not simple, Sweety’s is one such story. She has to contend with her over-enthusiastic family that wants to get her married, a young writer who is completely smitten by her, a secret that she harbours close to her heart and ultimately the truth that her true love might not find acceptance in her family and society. Resolving these issues proves hilarious, touching and life changing.

At the age of 27, you better apply for an Aarp card - or, at least, that's what the "cougar" standard on the current season of The Bachelor would suggest. From hair length to skin color, the pool of women who are likely to be accepted as contestants on The Bachelor is already limited. Now the topic of age has come into play, and the judgment is going both ways.
We already know that the dating franchise has an age issue. No men ages 21 or 22 years old have ever appeared on The Bachelorette, and only very few 23- and 24-year-old men have ever competed. However, the same can't be said about the women on The Bachelor, where the tables are flipped and more women in their earlier 20s are cast. This season in particular is putting lots of emphasis on the women's age, maybe because Colton Underwood is one of the...

Bachelor in Paradise, the typically light-hearted summer spinoff in ABC's reality wheelhouse, took itself a bit more seriously during its Tuesday night finale. Seemingly learning from the flaws of its franchise siblings, heavyweights The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, the post-finale reunion show delivered just as many relationship commitments as it did engagements.
In 22 seasons of The Bachelor, only one star, Sean Lowe, has married his winner. Two other memorable Bachelors, Jason Mesnick and the most recent Arie Luyendyk Jr., are, respectively, married and engaged to their runner-ups. The Bachelorettes have better success rates: 50 percent of the female stars remain with their ...
