I went into this film with a completely different expectation of what it was going to be. I wanted to watch one of those typical homecoming movies where the person begins to love their old town yada yada yada...
This movie isn't that, it's so much more than that and I feel like this is the most "real" movie I've seen in a long time. What I mean by this is that the story is beautiful and heartwarming but what I loved most about this film is how they were able to tell it in a very REAL way, not some cookie cutter homecoming style movie where the two characters hate each other and through a series of carefully orchestrated miscommunications... well you see where I'm going here?
This film tells the story how you would see this situation play out in the real world, but they tell it in such a way that makes it compelling and yet still very entertaining.
I really loved it so much so that when I saw only three reviews I felt like it's a hidden gem and I needed to let people know they should watch it... you won't be disappointed.
