- After incurring debts from his failed business venture in China, Zong Hua returns to Malaysia after a decade-long hiatus. - Zong Hua, who grew up in the Cantonese Opera family, was cheated by others while he was involved in his business in a foreign country. Due to the heavy debt that he owed, he decided to return to Malaysia. After a whole decade away, adapting to being back home and finding a new job prove difficult for him. His mother passed away 10 years before, leaving only his half-sister Jing Jing and stepfather Xiaotian, the former Cantonese Opera star, with whom Zong Hua had never gotten along. From a child, Jing Jing realized that her half-brother Zong Hua opposed his stepfather at every turn, and after her mother died, she even believed that the woman had grieved herself to death over her son's failure to get along with his stepfather.
