While Susette's house number is correctly shown as 8, as in 8 East Street where the little pink house was located, there are numbers on other houses that are four digits. New London is only six square miles and has no streets with houses with four digit numbers, especially in the Fort Trumbull neighborhood which is made up of several short streets.
While there are some genuine scenes of New London at the beginning, the portrayal of the Gold Star Bridge which spans the Thames Estuary between New London and Groton is clearly a different bridge; the Gold Star Bridge has two distinct spans for northbound and southbound traffic.
