Exclusive: Talia Ryder has boarded Rob Burnett’s comedy film In Memoriam alongside Marc Maron.

Burnett (The Fundamentals of Caring) wrote the script, and he will direct the film for Invention Studios (Thelma).

In Memoriam will begin shooting in Los Angeles on Monday, telling the story of a veteran Hollywood actor (Maron) who becomes obsessed with securing a spot in the Oscars’ “In Memoriam” montage after he receives a terminal cancer diagnosis. This leads to a heartfelt journey of self-exploration as well as ego, humility and legacy.

Ryder has appeared in films like Little Death (2024), The American (2023), The Sweet East (2023), Dumb Money (2023), Do Revenge (2022), Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between (2022), Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story (2021) and Never Rarely Sometimes Always (2020). Netflix released the trailer Monday for “Love at First Sight,” starring Haley Lu Richardson and Ben Hardy, and the rom-com promises to be filled with as much twists and turns as audiences would expect.

Based on Jennifer E. Smith’s best-selling novel, “The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight,” the film follows Hadley (Richardson) who misses her flight from New York to London and meets Oliver (Ben Hardy) in a chance encounter in the process. The pair feel an instant connection, which makes their long overnight flight go by very quickly. The film launches Sept. 15.

Actress Ayo Edebiri, most recently known for her appearance as Sydney Adamu in FX’s “The Bear,” has joined the cast of Marvel’s “Thunderbolts” movie in an undisclosed role.

Edebiri joins Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as US Agent John Walker, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost and Olga Kyrylenko as Taskmaster. This ensemble cast was announced at Disney’s D23 Expo last fall.

Slated for July 26, 2024, Jake Schreier is set to direct the film with a script from “Black Widow” writer Eric Pearson. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige will produce. The plot of the film involves this group of standout villains from different storylines getting tasked with government missions.

Jordan Fisher has joined the cast of The CW’s “The Flash” in the recurring guest star role of Bart Allen, aka Impulse.

Fisher’s first appearance will be in the series’ 150th episode, which is the 17th episode of Season 7 of the long-running DC superhero drama.

As fans of “The Flash” already know, Bart is the future son of Barry aka the Flash (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) and is said to be “the fastest teenager on the planet.” However, due to his penchant for “wildly impulsive behavior,” Barry and Iris will have their hands full trying to teach him patience — which will be a necessity if they want to succeed, not only as a family unit, but also in stopping the biggest threat to the Flash yet.
