First, all of my kids (mostly grown now) made a lot of short films with limited equipment so I know how hard it is to get things right, especially sound and light. This piece is obviously not Hollywood, yet it is surprisingly fresh and worth watching. The cinematography is spot on and conveys a strong sense that the director was always putting a lot of effort into the scenes with the close-ups really keeping the gritty feel of the film going. Without too many spoilers, the film itself sets up a tension surrounding the mysterious gas and what it is doing to the survivors living in an abandoned factory complex. The main character is believable and I found myself rooting for him to live (some of the time!) and by the end of the film, some poignant scenes reminded me of the desperation I felt watching other films in the genre. Overall original and worth watching!
