Sony‘s untitled Karate Kid film is ready to make Ben Wang‘s heart go pitter-pat after adding Cruel Summer actress Sadie Stanley to the cast. Stanley plays the romantic lead opposite Ben Wang (American Born Chinese) in the forthcoming marital arts drama, which also stars Joshua Jackson, Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio.
Plot specifics remain a mystery, though we hear Sony will move the story to the East Coast and focus on a teen from China who finds identity and strength in martial arts. During his journey of self-discovery, Wang’s character meets a disciplined martial arts master. With Chan and Macchio both appearing in the film, there’s a chance Wang’s character could train under two teachers. Jonathan Entwistle

While he left his social media followers with an ominous yet hopeful message last week, Kel Mitchell took to Instagram over the weekend to let them in on details of just what happened. In the video, Mitchell said his situation came on quite suddenly. “I was out shopping when suddenly the whole room started spinning. So I was like, ‘I must be dehydrated so I need to go get some water, some food.’ When I did that, the whole right side of my arm was numb, followed by me not being able to swallow. That’s when I panicked. And so I drove myself to the hospital.” As it turns out,...

The 20-year-old former Nickelodeon star is taking a new direction in her career and personal journey after joining Playboy‘s creator platform.
Keep reading to find out more…
Madisyn recently opened up about the importance of embracing herself as she explores this new opportunity.
“I have always felt a sense of repression in terms of my sexuality and showing my body,” she told Fox News Digital. “I think a lot of that is because I grew up on a Nickelodeon show. You’re taught that you can’t wear crop tops, you can’t show too much skin [and] you’ve got to be presented as a little girl constantly. And whenever that ends, I had a little bit of an identity crisis because I didn’t know who I was.”

Madisyn Shipman, best known for playing Kenzie Bell on Nickelodeon‘s Game Shakers, has joined the Playboy creator platform, the iconic brand’s version of OnlyFans which allows its users to “express themselves, their creativity, and their sexualities unapologetically.” The actress told Fox News Digital that she joined the platform after a friend from Nickelodeon recommended it, but she had one ground rule before signing up. “I always said, especially to my fans, that I was never going to join a paid creator platform because I didn’t want to show my body,” Shipman said. “That was the biggest thing. That’s not how my goals align. So I made this clear to Playboy, and they said, ‘You don’t have to do that.’ That’s the great thing about Playboy. If you want to show everything, you’re more than welcome to, but you don’t have to.” View...

I actually suggested Kel Mitchell as a possible cast member for “Dancing with the Stars” this past spring, and they must have taken my advice because he’s competing in the upcoming 28th season of the series. It begins on September 16, but before Mitchell and his competitors hit the dance floor, let’s consider his pros and cons.

Pros
Mitchell does have the nostalgia factor going for him: Millennials who grew up watching him on Nickelodeon in the 1990s might tune in and vote to see him again. He started out as a series regular on the long-running kids’ sketch comedy series “All That,” which led to him and co-star Kenan Thompson getting their own sitcom, “Kenan & Kel.” They even got to star in their own movie, “Good Burger” (1997), which was based on a popular “All That” sketch. Sons of Anarchy alum Jacob Vargas, Maggie Geha (Gotham) and Cree Cicchino (Game Shakers) are set as series regulars opposite Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias in Mr. Iglesias, Netflix’s upcoming multi-cam comedy series from the comedian and Cristela co-creator/executive producer Kevin Hench.
In the comedy, Iglesias plays Gabe, a good-natured public high school teacher who works at his alma mater. He takes on teaching gifted but misfit kids to not only save them from being “counseled out” by a bully bureaucrat Assistant Principal, but also to help them unlock their full potential.
Vargas will play Tony Medina, Gabe’s longtime best friend and fellow teacher at the high school. Geha is Abby, another teacher at the school who is the idealistic antidote to Tony. She is genuinely excited – almost annoyingly so – to be shaping the future through her teaching. Cicchino will portray Marisol Fuentes, a 16-year-old determined, yet overworked student.

Attention casting directors for “Dancing with the Stars”! The results are in from our recent poll: these are the male celebrities audiences would most like to see in the upcoming 27th season from the suggestions we made.
Broadway actor John Lloyd Young was our readers’ top choice with 38% of the vote. After conquering the Great White Way in 2006 with his Tony Award winning breakout role as Frankie Valli in “Jersey Boys” he brought his skills to the small screen with guest appearances on “Glee” in 2009 and “Vegas” in 2013. Then Young was cast by Clint Eastwood to reprise his Broadway role in the 2014 film adaptation of “Jersey Boys.” Another Tony winner, Marissa Jaret Winokur, almost managed to make it to the finals in the sixth season in 2008 (she finished fourth), we’d love to see what another Broadway star could do in the ballroom.
Jc Chasez came in second with 28%. Two...

Ordinary World starts out with a flashback to a 1995 performance by L.E.S. Skunks, the fictional rock band once fronted by Perry Miller (Billie Joe Armstrong). So right from the very first frame, viewers are clued in to the fact that Armstrong — the longtime lead singer of Green Day — is riffing on his own persona and career. In fact, as the film contrasts its opening with Perry’s more laid-back current life, it’s almost like a glimpse into an alternate reality in which Armstrong’s own band had faded into obscurity soon after the 1994 release of breakthrough album Dookie instead of continuing to generate hits for another couple decades.
Despite the opening’s focus on Perry’s musical heyday, the bulk of the film follows Perry still adjusting to suburban life in New York City with his wife (Selma Blair) and two kids (the elder of whom is...
