Suranne Jones gurns unconvincingly.
I'm on ep 4 now and what an absolutely fine performance from Ms Comer. The other characters were but cardboard clichés compared to her and the actors just conformed to those clichés (albeit being driven by the writing and direction). Ms Comer was so believable and convincing being both steely determined and slightly vulnerable .
And let's face it any bloke given the choice between the two characters/actresses would go for Ms Comer. Let's be honest Suranne Jones is not really attractive at all. "Face like a bag o' spanners" as my grandad would have said.

Suranne Jones is fab
One of the best actresses we have. I watched season 1 of Doctor Foster and she was so understated in her performance. Perfectly in character at all times she very gradually becomes a force of nature. I'll watch anything she does now.

Struggling with it.
I enjoyed most of Season 1 and I'm a big fan of Surrane. But season 2 is off to a rocky start in my opinion. I was expecting a tough Surrane going after her philandering husband, but it seems to be heading more towards a completely unstable and unhinged ex-wife. Not at all what I was hoping for.

Season 1 was great but this season starts with predictable stupidity.
I loved the first season and especially Suranne Jones. However, I only lasted the first few minutes until Jones' character does something so predictably stupid, you know exactly what the humiliating result will be. It's too obvious as a plot device and so disappointing from the writers. Give some credit to the intelligence of your audience, please.
Get A Grip
Gemma Foster has got to be the most irresponsible doctor I've ever seen. She continually brings her problems to work without a care for her patients. She leaves a patient waiting at the clinic to run off to her ex's house because she's upset.
She's obsessive about a man who's not worth a damn. Last season she was helping a woman get rid of her abusive boyfriend, now she's the one who's self-destructive. Definitely not a feminist show.
This episode was so unbelievable. I'm sure a million dollar home would be left unlocked for anyone to walk inside.
The music was so loud and jarring toward the end, as well. What has happened to this show? If this is an indicator of how season 2 is going to be, I think I'll skip it.
