Was presented at the Short Film Corner in Cannes Film Festival 2016.
Director and writer Victor Hugo Fiuza was inspired by a family history. He have an aunt who is blind of one eye, just like the film's main character. Because of her condition, she had to quit school. Fiuza stated that he wanted to tell a story where she could go back to school.
Assistant director Ulisses Da Motta lives in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, far from Rio de Janeiro, where the film was produced. He didn't wanted to overcharge the already small production's budget, so he decided to go to Rio by his own means. Since he didn't have enough money, he hitchhiked and later traveled by buses, ferry and subway, getting overnight in friend's homes. At the end of his journey, he traveled more than 1.600 km (994 miles) in two days, arriving in Rio right on time for a production meeting.
