The thermal (Infrared) camera used would not show heat signatures through glass as it does many times in this film.
Titus the (Undercover) Book-writer was supposed to leave before everything happened. Then later on he acknowledges that he is a negotiator. If he left then he wouldn't be negotiating with anything.
