I can see the effort in the artistry. The story telling, the pace, I directors choices all leave me puzzled. It's hard to stay grounded while watching this unrealistic story. I understand some film will not be at its perfection when it comes to independent but this, is way too unimaginative. The only bright spots would be Rhonda Morman. That's it. She is all the bright spots. Under a better director and some more solid writing I can see the premise working but with writing that's lacking care and directing that ignores the human experience, I could in no good conscience recommend this to anyone seeking quality black film.

I thought it to be very realistic! It is not easy to tell any story about such issues that are not comfortable to talk about. We often do not want to believe these things happen in our families. Too often, we brush these matters under the rug. Too often, these issues go unresolved and manifest in future generations repeating the same terrible acts. This movie is a must see!
I want to commend Mark Ridley for bringing this movie to help us look and see how love can help us deal with and get through the hardest of times.
I think it is very well written and the cast is fantastic! Thank you, Mark Ridley.
