The posters and fliers for the Springtime rave prominently feature the stylized peace sign logo of the Mayday, Germany's biggest indoor rave, where the scenes were also shot.
DJ Schöpfi's hit "HalluHillu", which was made for this movie, is an obvious parody of the Techno track "Hardcore Vibes" by Dune, which was a huge club and chart hit in 1995.
This movie is set some years after Berlin Blues (2003) although nearly none of the events of the latter are discussed. In the original movie the role of Karl Schmidt was played by Detlev Buck, while this time it's played by Charly Hübner. In this Detlev Buck played a different character.
