The SEC filed a civil complaint on 2/26/19, accusing writer-director Daniel Adams and music producer Michael Flanders of defrauding at least two investors out of tens of thousands of dollars and doling out improper loans. The case is SEC v. Adams et al., Case No. 2:19-cv-0412, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. The case against Adams was dismissed in late 2019.
