If you're a fan of Brian Cox then you're going to love this forty minute interview with him. This featurette can be found on the Shout Factory! release of the 1986 film MANHUNTER and of course the title refers to Cox playing the role of Lecktor before Anthony Hopkins made it famous in THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. Cox starts off talking about how he got into acting before getting into this film where he talks about hearing about the role, how he got it and then going into the production. The actor tells some wonderful stories about what it was like working with Michael Mann and how each of his co-stars were. He also shares some wonderful thoughts on Hopkins and what would happen to the character moving forward. Cox comes across as a very thoughtful person and he also shares his thoughts about what he didn't like about the film. We actually both agreed that the score was just wrong for the picture. MANHUNTER fans will certainly enjoy this thoughtful interview.
