This stunt was orchestrated by the Municipality of Tel Aviv as a 'White Surprise' for its residents and as a tribute to the winter Olympics in Torino. - In 2008, the Tel-Aviv municipality sent four refrigerated trucks up north to the Hermon Mountain where they loaded 60 cubic meters of snow. The trucks then drove all night to make their way back, and at the crack of dawn, unloaded the icy cargo onto Tel-Aviv's city square, setting up a "white" surprise for its residents as a tribute to the winter Olympics in Torino. That same morning, the Dahan family, who resided in front of the square, were facing an eviction notice. Snow follows the four drivers on their journey to the city, as well the struggle that Hanna, the matriarch of the Dahan family, faces when everything she and her family has is melting between their fingers.
