At first as I watched I thought to myself... man this is cheesy. But after 30 minutes I realized that this is what they were going for. Low budget 80's or 90's theme sci-fi that, although the acting and visuals were low budget, the actual story was pretty cool.
reminded me a bit of back to the future...

A few days ago this movie was rated 6.5, I guess by the people in it and their friends. It looks like I wanted to learn how to make a movie and went googling for a while and then gathered bunch of friends to start shooting. Apart from the movie appeared to be made on a green wall half of the time, poor acting from Ryan Wesen and Laura James made me stop watching after 22 min.
I gave 3 stars out of respect for the effort and time they spent in creating this... this.
I don't recommend watching.

I didnt know they made films of this genre anymore, so if youre a time travel nerd, you might like it, i didnt
its a actioncomedy of low quality acting, basic filmography, a done for a nickel score, boiling and headless action, terrible staging and stand in front of a green wall way of exterior filming. if this where made in 1981, i woudve raised an eyebrow or two, but not today. the only thing raising the score are some neat driving action with alot of crashing and tyre squeeling
the grumpy old man are not impressed, its a no recommend

Most horrible B, no Z movie i ever had to watch. After the "subtile" introduction i was like "oookai" then the intro-music started... while listening to that incoherend lyrics and simple melody, together with the scrappy views and graphics, i had to run for the toilet to puke my guts empty.
How can anyone distroy any low bidget on this kind of crap? Better safe more budget or find more funds (and more qualified staff/actors) to make a real B-movie.
Bye

This was an enjoyable, guilty pleasure to watch. I'm a huge fan of the 80's action, adventure movies & this movie is so well executed that it would fit perfectly with other movies of that time such as Remo Williams, Big Trouble in Little China etc. but on a smaller budget. So the CGI for the teleportation was cheesy but it didn't affect the overall enjoyment of the story. Lots of action & a story line that moves along quickly had me cheering for our heroes. Break out the popcorn because we're going back to the...

I'm giving this movie a few extra stars as I read some of the other low reviews and they are simply inaccurate. It's about teleportation, not time travel kids. The young leads do a really great job, Sam Jones hilariously chews up the scenery, and John James is a gleefully evil bad guy. It's a movie having fun with an old genre and I throughly enjoyed it. Maybe some of the younger viewers want darkness and irony but I don't. Many of the effects are pretty ropey but that never stopped me from enjoying the "Star Trek" or "Dr. Who" series.

This movie has some decent acting. The special effects are pretty good and the plot is pretty enjoyable. For a netfix movie, it was worth watching.

You possibly never saw the Bob Hope/Bing Crosby films where, when they had painted themselves into a corner, they would shout "Special Effects!" And be magically transported to the next scene. Here, it's seemingly done with a torch/flashlight.
It's a pretty pathetic effort with some pretty bad acting. I could sympathise with the actors having to put up with such bad, cheap scenes.
Pass on this one and try something else.

Pathetic B grade hopeless movie. Do not even bother to watch or download. Coompletely ignore this movie. Its was then hopeless, its pathetic
Does the Bad Boys producers know that this movie stole the intro car chase from one person of their movies? The rest of the movie is a total mess with useless dialogue and the outside footages were taken from different movie so by inserting their actors into those scenes the lighting don't match the background. Jeezus people couldn't you have picked a better production crew to make this mess .

Competition for the absolute worst ever is pretty stiff. This is just a typical low budget, poorly planned, poorly executed snoozer. Tip when being chased by cliche bad guys, just run, because, apparently, bad guys don't run after you no matter how badly they want that device. But 5hey do remind you that they want they device as they wait for you to disappear before firing at you, knowing full well that you will disappear.

They simply don't make movies like this anymore and I wish they did. The acting is earnest. The story is simple, there is romance, a great subtext about listening to our hearts - and a surprising amount of action for what is obviously a low-budget movie. Seeing my old 80's favorites in new roles was a blast and the two young leads have a likeability and chemistry that is off the charts. Nothing like feeling better after a movie than when you started it...

The concept of the Axcellerator device and how it focuses intent is pretty interesting. Most of the acting was pretty decent (and the acting that was subpar really didn't subtract anything as it seemed appropriate for this kind of movie). The special effects were pretty darn bad, but didn't really take away from the story. Some of the locations that ended up as greenscreen backgrounds boggle the mind. They couldn't actually get the two leads to do a scene in front of a real supermarket?
Anyway, as far as cheaply executed action movies go, this was pretty enjoyable.

Weird to see Flash Gordon as a bad guy. Sean Young looks like my aunt who was hot 30 years ago. Leads do a great job. Some sweet cars. Fun

Then he would have made this low-budget un-ironic, fun and funny little movie. It is really true (said elsewhere here) that this kind of movie isn't made anymore, a film with something for everyone. Action, adventure, comedy, romance. The budget shows it's seams, but who cares when the 80's cast is obviously having a blast and newcomers Laura James and Ryan Wesen are obviously going places. If you want Steven Segal, this ain't your film - but if you want a bit of escapist fun, it is.
