During a robbery as ticket manager Maik needs to switch identities with a priest and suddenly becomes Läuterbergs new figure of a saint while a police officer is investigating in the case of the train robbery closing in on Maik.
Maik tries to rob a bank and to achieve his goal he needs to play a marriage counselor. Meanwhile the police officer wants to check if Maik's fingerprints match the train robbery.
Maik has to marry Evas sister off while he finds out that the husband to be is creating counterfeit money. With that he also sees a way out of his own problems.
The golden monstrance should be borrowed to the neighbor village. Maik finds out that this deal was made under a special circumstance which is about to be prevented by him. This also reveals some inhabitant's dirty laundry.
To clear his debts and free his brother Kevin, Maik travels with the choir of Läuterberg to Berlin. While he thinks about staying in his hometown something comes up that upsets his plans.
When the village find's out about the cafe owners daughter's former profession, the inhabitants are not willing to buy there anymore. Maik tries to disabuse them.
