Most of Gypsy Rose's teeth actually fell out as one of the harsh side effects of the many medications her mother was giving her, including cancer meds. The documentary shows her teeth changing; she eventually had to wear dentures.
Dee Dee named her daughter Gypsy Rose, but had never heard of the famous Gypsy Rose Lee (actress, burlesque dancer, basis for the stage play "Gypsy").
Gypsy Rose served 8 years of her 10-year sentence. She was paroled on December 28, 2023.
