Exclusive: The Institute, MGM+‘s thriller series based on the 2019 Stephen King novel, has rounded out its cast. Brendan Beiser (The Boys) is set as a series regular, and Mary Walsh (Resident Alien) and Jordan Alexander (Gossip Girl) have been tapped for recurring roles in the series from director/executive producer Jack Bender, writer/executive producer Benjamin Cavell and MGM+ Studios. Production will begin in Nova Scotia later this year.

They join previously announced Mary-Louise Parker, Ben Barnes, Simone Miller and Jason Diaz, along with Joe Freeman, Fionn Laird, Hannah Galway, Julian Richings, Robert Joy, Viggo Hanvelt, Arlen So, Birva Pandya, Dan Beirne, Martin Roach and Jane Luk.

In the eight-episode The Institute, when 12-year-old genius Luke Ellis (Freeman) is kidnapped, he awakens at The Institute, a facility full of children who all got there the same way he did, and who are all possessed of unusual abilities.

Fans of Accused on Fox won’t want to miss tonight’s heartbreaking episode. Accused Episode 11, “Jiro’s Story,” was written by Karl Taro Greenfeld and directed by Brad Turner. It follows Jiro, who must make the tough decision to put his disabled brother, Sam, in a group home following their mother’s death. However, Jiro soon becomes suspicious of someone in the home who might be physically harming Sam. Check out the cast of Accused Episode 11 below.

Exclusive: Martin Donovan (Big Little Lies), Matt McGorry (How To Get Away With Murder), Julia Chan (Katy Keene), Evan Jonigkeit, and Ariana Neal (Hidden Figures) are set as series regulars in Netflix’s Archive 81 series, based on the supernatural horror podcast. They join previously announced leads Mamoudou Athie and Dina Shihabi in the series produced by James Wan’s Atomic Monster (MacGyver; The Conjuring Universe film franchise; upcoming Malignant and There’s Someone Inside Your House).

Archive 81 is written and executive produced by Rebecca Sonnenshine, who also serves as showrunner. ITV Studios Global Entertainment has struck deals covering over 1,000 hours of scripted and non-scripted programming with Asian broadcasters and streamers. The deals were announced on the first day of the Asia Television Forum in Singapore.

Kbs in Korea acquired India’s “Wild Karnataka,” narrated by the acclaimed broadcaster-naturalist David Attenborough. Discovery Asia acquired rights to Oxford Scientific Films’ “Wild Tokyo” and Atlantic Productions’ “Judi Dench’s Wild Borneo.”

A deal with True Visions in Thailand, spanning drama, factual and entertainment, includes the character-driven relationship “Gold Digger,” produced by Mainstreet Pictures, Jeff Pope’s factual drama “A Confession,” as well as blue-chip series “Magical Land of Oz,” and season 19 of “Hell’s Kitchen USA.”

Vietnam’s Fpt Telecom focused on drama. It acquired “Victoria” (seasons 1-3) and all five seasons of “Poldark,” both of which are produced by Mammoth Screen. It also bought Scandinavian thriller “Jordskott” (seasons 1 & 2), Canadian comedy “Little Dog” (series 1 & 2) and “Jekyll & Hyde.
