In the scene where Jesse Metcalfe's character is upstairs working and the kids are downstairs doing crafts he is wearing the exact same outfit Christopher Reeve wore in Superman 2 when Lois discovered he was Superman at the Niagara Falls hotel right down to the dorky glasses. Jesse Metcalfe appeared in a a couple of episodes of Smallville.
The character of April is supposed to be a master violinist, but in several spots in the movie is clearly not really playing.
