Filming of the planned fourth series had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The 4-episode fourth series will now be filmed in Autumn 2022 for release in 2023.
During an interview on BBC One magazine programme "The One Show" broadcast on Tuesday, 3rd October 2023 Man Like Mobeen co-creator Guz Khan responded to a question from presenter Roman Kemp about the series ending on a cliffhanger by saying "Listen bro, I've been told many times in life don't say things that you're not supposed to say, you'll get in trouble with the BBC etc, etc" he then immediately added "But we'll probably do one more! I'm sorry! We'll probably do another one!" Kemp sought clarification, asking: "Is that an exclusive? Can we take that?" "You can" responded Khan.
