Alexandra Winkler lives in a working-class district of Vienna, works in a bread factory and saves for her dream: her own bakery. When the 23-year-old orphan found out that she was the illegitimate daughter of a deceased squire and inherited the Hochstetten Trakehner stud farm from him, it all seemed like a dream from which she would soon wake up rudely. Their half-siblings Maximilian, Silvia and Leander can hardly believe that they were passed over when it came to the family inheritance. Spokesman Maximilian, who manages the estate, threatens Alexandra to challenge the will and makes her a "generous" offer: 200,000 euros on hand if she gives up immediately. What the surprised heiress does not know: she would not be fobbed off enough with 200,000 euros, and Maximilian has his back to the wall. He invested his late father's entire fortune in a multi-million dollar secret project. While Maximilian is waiting for Alexandra's signature, she fights for the life of the stallion "Dezember", who was injured in an incident. Alexandra finds a soul mate in the free-roaming horse, which as a half-bred does not enjoy the status of a purebred Trakehner. To save him, she must muster the courage to stand up to her new family.
