So many people are hating this show because they talked about trump for 5 minutes. This show is not about politics at all. Really interesting show, excited to see where the season goes.

Why so much hate on this. I don't get it.
The story is good, the acting is great, the script is awesome. This show needs more love.

Too many people with the low scores are comparing it to once upon a time which you can't. It's supposed to be an essence of the fairy tales with its own story background. Not a fantasy but real world drama and thrills. Sure maybe it starts off slow but give it a chance an you'll be hooked! I'm glad to hear a second season will be coming.
Little Red Riding Hood.
The Three Little Pigs.
Hansel & Gretel....
I've watched 5 episodes, and loving it so far. Very well acted, and excited to see what's coming next?

Great first episode and it definitely has me hooked. Each subplot had me engaged and I hope they stick with the interweaving structure of them.

First episode leaves you wanting more, strong cast and interesting story where you can see "eastereggs" from your favorite childhood stories. Have two problems with the show, first, the fact that they have to make a point about being political (felt very forced). Second, the lack of relatability, unless you live in a townhouse on the upper west side, wich ofcourse many do, but many more dont.

I watch these types of shows for the storytelling, not for politics. In just the first 30 minutes of the premiere episode there were too many instances of politics wedged in that had nothing to do with the story but simply to politically bash one side. It felt more like a political ad than a drama so I turned it off in disgust.
Hollywood really needs to leave the politics to the news channels where it belongs and just get back to telling universal stories that everyone can watch regardless if one is "left or right." Until then i'll continue to shut off these types of shows within the first 30 minutes and never revisit them again.

I love the the actors in this series so I figured it would be good but I wasn't sure how good it could be since it's just a cbs show. I usually don't bother with shows that are on cbs, abc or nbc because they all seem to be alike. This show was a great surprise and has been thrillingly intriguing keeps me excited for the next episode. If I didn't know better I'd think I was watching hbo.

It's the kind of show where you can't stop watching, but you will literally be so so sooo annoyed at the characters. They make such stupid decisions that are life-jeopardizing and just aggravating to watch. Still... If you have time and like the thriller/mystery type show, def watch it.

Creates suspense by having the characters make really stupid choices. It was a demolition derby of people's lives. Just sad.
Was a bit confusing at first as to how it would tie in to each fairy tale but give it time. By episode 3 I was hooked and I absolutely love the story telling. Great show so far.
Pro:
Good interpretaion & mostly in the 2nd season there are many twist in the story. Adventurous with many loved & hated characters
Contra:
I love HBO series but in this show i saw many fault (for example: cutting (mostly at s02e10), the missing & unfinished story (s01e10)

One of the most unique and innovative views of telling a fairy tale in modern day society. It may take an episode or two to figure out who the characters are in reference to the particular fairy tale being told. I noticed another viewer had to bring politics into this but politics has NOTHING to do with this series. Not sure what that other viewers problems are but that is his/her issue. I love this series and I hope others do also. Enjoy.

I wasn't sure about this series in the beginning but if you give it a bit time like I did it becomes better. The first three or four episodes I wasn't very impressed but if you can sit through those it gets more interesting at the point you will watch all the other episodes at once as you want to know what happens. There are enough twists and turns to keep your constant attention. The stories are intertwined and that gives the main story a little boost. The acting is okay, there are some annoying characters but they act well as annoying characters. I don't know why you would take Danielle Campbell to play a seventeen year old girl though, she looks definitely older and that's kinda bothering me. I'm not going to write this is an excellent show but it's entertaining. There are much better series but I had fun watching this one. I'm curious what they will come up with in season two, that will be interesting.

What were the writers thinking? One of the most boring, meaningless shows I've had to try and power through.
And then season 2 happened. Poorly written, poor script, poor acting. The only saving grace were Danielle and Paul.
Season 1 there was a sense of depth and purpose, and real intrigue. but the family that season 2 was based around were all quite unlikeable with no redeeming qualities, there was no desire for any of them to succeed. And the entire season was entirely predictable and didn't flow well, sometimes characters would do complete 180's without any real explanation as to why
Season 1 is absolutely worth the watch though

Season 1 had interesting plot and each character's story was thrilling to watch. Character development was on point and, unlike second season, it actually had own style. The second season does not have that dark atmosphere, the plot twists are either ridiculous or nowhere to be found. Characters are poorly written and their stories are average at best. Season 2 is just full of potboiler. But I'm still looking forward to seeing more seasons.

Insufferable characters. Irritating dialogue. A woman, of means, says over and over she can't have a baby in the President Trump era because of school shootings and chaos in the world. The Columbine High School shooting massacre happened on my birthday: April 20, 1999. Bill Clinton was our President. Terrible tragedies happen under every president. At 17, my Mom had a baby, my oldest sister, in a violent Kingston, Jamaica hood known as Trench Town. She survived and was a good Mother. Besides the go-go dancer dude and his military vet sister, the mostly well-off characters in this show sound and act spoiled, out-of-touch, pessimistic and not based in reality.

Not sure if I am getting this right, but being European, this is not about poliitics for me. The plot is pretty good and there are some good lines intertwining, so far so good. The fairytale part I dont really see in other than hints, but they are subtle and not that clear.
Still I like it a lot.
That's the reason I'm giving it such a low rating, it's an overall rating. If I had to rate the first season only I'd give it an 8/10. If I was rating the 2nd season only, I'd give it a 1 or 2/10. For those random people who said it was too political, I'm pretty sure they never got through the first episode.
Give the first season a shot and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Choc'full of amazing twists, good writing and like some others have said, good character development.
I really wish the second season wasn't so terrible haha.
